An English article can mean two main things depending on the context:

📘 1. English Article (Grammar)

In English grammar, an article is a word that comes before a noun to show whether it's specific
or general.

👉 Two types of English articles:

 Definite article:

o "the" – refers to a specific noun.

 Example: The dog is sleeping. (A particular dog.)

 Indefinite articles:

o "a" – used before words that start with a consonant sound.

 Example: A cat is on the roof.

o "an" – used before words that start with a vowel sound.

 Example: An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
