Teacher/Tutor (Assessor)
Noreen case study
1. Provide an introduction, explaining your aims and objectives for this assignment.

The aim is to find Noreen’s health problems and the objective is to fix them

2. Identify Noreen’s healthcare needs because of her condition(s)(1m).

She needs to eliminates sugars carbohydrates this will reduce the intense tremors in her hands as well
as reducing inflammation her body as high insulin levels is linked with insulin resistance for her
Parkinson’s disease I would recommend for her to go on a meat only diet as they’re having many
testimonials of people healing incurable issues just by indulging in steaks and liver which I would
recommend for her as liver has powerful vitamins and nutrients that could potentially reverse her
condition

3. Discuss the care needs of Noreen in terms of physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual
needs. (2.5m)

Noreen is in of great assistance as all her needs require immediate attention for her physical needs she
needs help with the use of her hands this is due to the tremors to solve this she should see a
physiotherapist that is specifically trained to deal with hand and arm pain going to a profession 4 times a
week will provide great relief to Noreen’s symptoms for her type 2 diabetes which is caused by obesity
she needs to implement fasting and only eat once a day that will make the body sensitive to insulin and
in return reduce her condition

In the aspects of her emotional needs her relationships with her husband and children comes into
thought her husband works 12 hrs every day so he dose not have time for her which is understandable
because his wife is in no condition and it doesn’t make it any better that her children can only come
once a month due to work related issues to fix this she needs to meditate which will clear her mind
from any problems and stress
For her social needs she should try and communicate with her childhood friends that in turn will make
sure that she doesn’t breakdown mentally or even interacting with trusted friends as well as interacting
with people in public and having deep meaningful conversations can ease to her emotional stress

For her phycological needs she needs to search for relaxing music or even go on nature based sites as
this will help reduce any mental stress her spiritual needs can expand by searching for purpose or she
can do her interests that give her a purpose existence

4. Give examples from the case study of how Noreen’s needs are being met and not being met using the
12ADLs as your guide. (3m)

In the case study it is clearly evident that her needs are not being met this is shown when he has a few
underlying diseases as well as not being able to do any of her passions due to hand tremors to the needs
are being met are her support needs using the adls some needs such as eating drinking and elimination
as well a safe environment have been met however her working dressing and washing have not been
met and this is due to Noreen’s hand condition

5. Identify required care equipment and other aids to assist Noreen in her daily life (2m)

She can take train classes for hand related issues other aids to assist her would include going to a
nature-based doctor who is trained in the healing of the mind and body as well as well as going to a
therapist as well as a glucose checker with this she can make sure that her blood sugar levels are at an
optimal degree

6. Discuss procedures relating to the safety and security of Noreen in terms of meeting her needs. (3m)

When engaging with Noreen’s safe and security its very important that she has a relaxing and
comforting area as well as an environment where she gets treated with dignity and respect to provide a
steady environment

give her warm room and a relaxing bed as well as house from her favourite viewpoint this is likely to
make her feel safe and comforted

7. Discuss the importance of safe and hygienic work practices for Noreen (Hygiene Health and safety
issues in client care, Infection control) (2m)
It is very important to have safe and hygienic practices for the reason for this is that coming into contact
with a sick patient will not only put their wellbeing at risk but you yourself could also be contaminated
as well as endangering other patience and workers in the facility

It is very important to use clean hygiene methods particularly when dealing with patients like Noreen
always use sanitizer before touching her hands as this can very likely inflame her condition greatly

8. Identify the key points that will contribute to an enhanced quality of life for Noreen and refer to
suitable services that she could access(3m).

What can enhance Noreen quality of life is coming and interacting with people who had similar
problems as her this is optimal getting advice from someone in the same boat as you with ensure
favourable results

Noreen’s quality of living

we understand is never neglect those who are not of the same health as you and if anyone is in the
