Whereas the draft of the Inter-state Migrant Workmen (Regulation of
Employment and Condition of Service) (Karnataka) Rules, 2024 was
published in Notification No. LD 219 LET 2023, dated: 16.10.2024 in part IVA
No.PR1407 of the Karnataka Gazette dated: 21.10.2024, as required by sub-
section (1) of section 35 of the Inter-state Migrant Workmen (Regulation of
Employment And Conditions of Service) Act, 1979 (Central Act 30 of 1979)
inviting objections or suggestions from all the persons likely to be affected

Gazette.
And whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on
21.10.2024.
And whereas no objections and suggestions received in this behalf
within the prescribed time limit.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the
Inter-state Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment And Conditions of
Service) Act, 1979 (Central Act 30 of 1979) the Government of Karnataka
hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
REGULATIONS
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These Regulations may be
called the Inter-state Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and
Condition of Service) (Karnataka) ( Amendment) Regulations, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of rule 12.-In the Inter-state Migrant Workmen
(Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) (Karnataka) Rules,
1981, in rule 12,-
(i) for columns and rows of sub-rule (1), the following shall be
substituted, namely:-

NOTIFICATION

Whereas in the Karnataka Fire Force (Amendment) Act, 2023 Notified

vide Notification No: DPAL 12 SHASANA 2023 Dated:27.07.2023 under
section 13 (3) any person proposing to construct a high-rise building shall
obtain No objection certificate from the State Fire and Emergency services
department and under explanation “A High-rise building” is specified as a
building of 21meters or above in height irrespective of its occupancy as
defined in the National Building Code 2016.

Whereas in the Zonal regulations of the approved Master plans of the

Local Planning Areas in the State it is intended to specify for the purposes
of seeking NOC with respect to High rise Buildings the provisions under the
Karnataka Fire Force Act,1964 are to be complied with.

Now, therefore in exercise of powers conferred under Section 13-E of

Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1961, Government of Karnataka
proposes to make amendments to the Zonal Regulations of Master Plans
approved by the Government. It is hereby published for information of all
persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said
draft will be taken into consideration after 30 days from the date of its
publication in the official Gazette.

Any objections or suggestions that may be received from the public

with respect to the said draft within the period specified above will be
considered. The objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary

Draft Regulations

1. These regulations will be called the Zonal Regulations (Amendment)

2024 of the approved Master plans.

2. They shall come into force on the date of notification of the Final
Regulations in the State gazette.

3. The definition of “High Rise Building” in the Zonal Regulations of the

Master Plans approved under section 13(3) of the Karnataka Town and
Country Planning Act, 1961 the following shall be substituted
namely. -

“A High Rise Building is a building of 21.0meters or above in height

irrespective of its occupancy for all purposes under the Karnataka Fire
Force (Amendment) Act, 2023.

Provided with respect to buildings of height 15.0 meter and

above provisions of the National Building Code-2016 relating to Fire
and life Safety and Development Control Regulations shall be complied
with.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Mines and Minerals
(Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 (Central Act 67 of 1957), the Government
of Karnataka, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka
Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1994, namely: -

1. Title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka
Minor Mineral Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

(2) they shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official
Gazette.

2. Substitution of Schedule-II.- In the said rules, for Schedule-II and the

entire relating thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
