Dear Students,

World Environment Day is a global event aimed at raising awareness and encouraging action

🌏
for the protection of our environment.

🍀
Let us come together to celebrate World Environment day on 5th June 2025 – a special day
to remind us that protecting our planet is our shared responsibility.

The theme for this year is Ending Plastic Pollution. Plastic pollution exacerbates the deadly
impacts of the triple planetary crisis: the crisis of climate change, the crisis of nature, land and
biodiversity loss, and the crisis of pollution and waste.
The theme focuses on restoring nature & reducing waste. Our Earth gives us everything –
clean air, water, food, and a home. It’s time we give back by:

🌱 Planting more trees

♻️ Reducing plastic use
💡 Saving energy and water
🚶 Walking or cycling more
🗑️ Keeping our surroundings clean
We encourage you to plant as many air purifying plants as possible in and around your home by
reusing and repurposing the waste plastic bottles. You may refer to a few ideas given as
images.

Students are required to plant saplings along with their mother and click a photograph with the
planted saplings. The photo must be submitted to the class teacher in Google classroom.

🍃
Small actions make a big difference. Let’s be the generation that protects and preserves our
environment for a better tomorrow.
Happy World Environment Day!
