BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

NDTA Make Magnetic Crack Detector, Model – GPM 1525 AH is a manually operated General Purpose Magnetic Particle
Test Unit designed for detection of surface/sub-surface cracks/discontinuities in ferromagnetic test objects having maximum
dia/width/thk of 40 mm and maximum length of 500 mm by magnetic particle method. The unit offers facilities for testing
employing Through Current/CC/EC and Coil Magnetization techniques in wet process using fluorescent particles.
Non-fluorescent particles also can be used, if needed, after thoroughly cleaning the Ink Tank and Ink Tray.

Powered from 230 volt single phase 50Hz A.C source, the unit offers 1500 Amps A.C (Max.) and 1500 Amps H.W.D.C
( Max. ) for circular magnetization to reveal longitudinal and near longitudinal cracks/discontinuities and magnetizing
field upto 5 KAT (Kilo Amp Turns) in a movable coil for longitudinal magnetization to reveal transverse and near
transverse cracks/discontinuities.

Inking is done by Hand Nozzle fitted at the end of a flexible hose from a self-agitated recirculating Ink Bath.

Visual inspection is carried out inside dark curtain under UV LED Light fitted with the Equipment.
