Project: TRIANGLES

Objectives:

The objective of this project is to understand the different types of triangles, their properties, and

various rules related to their congruence and inequality.

Introduction:

A triangle is a closed figure with three sides and three angles. Types of triangles (by sides):

Scalene, Isosceles, Equilateral. Types (by angles): Acute, Right, and Obtuse triangles.

Important Terms Related to Triangles:

Median, Centroid, Altitude, Orthocentre, Circumcentre, Incentre.

Properties of Triangles:

1. Angle Sum Property: Sum of all interior angles is 180°.

2. Exterior Angle Property: Exterior angle = Sum of two opposite interior angles.

Congruence of Triangles:

1. SSS Congruence

2. SAS Congruence

3. ASA/AAS Congruence

4. RHS Congruence

Inequality of Triangles:

1. Sum of two sides is greater than the third side.

2. Difference of two sides is less than the third side.

Project: TRIANGLES

Conclusion:

Triangles form the foundation of geometry. Understanding their types, properties, and theorems is

crucial for both academic and real-life applications.
