Animals are almost extinct if their number are getting smaller. It means more animals die and become rare. One
of the rare animals is rhinoceros.
Rhinoceroses are herbivorous. They eat grass and other plants. They live in grassy areas or in jungles.
Rhinoceroses spend most of their time in water. They usually live alone, except during the breeding season.
If we don’t want rhinoceroses to extinct, we must protect them. We must preserve their habitat. The law prohibits

Camels are mammals adapted to live in hot, dry deserts. Camels can go for a long time without
drinking water. There are two kinds of camels: the Arabian, or a dromedary camel, which has one
hump, and the Bactrian camel, which has two humps. The humps are store of flesh and fat, absorbed
as nutrition when food is scarcer. A camel can subsist without water for several days
The Arabian camel usually stands 2 m (7ft) tall at the shoulders. The hump rises about 30 cm
(about 12 in) above the back. The Bactrian camel has slightly shorter legs, is about 1.9 m (about 6.5
ft) in height at the shoulders, but usually has a heavier torso than the dromedary. Both types of
camels have been domesticated since ancient times.
The Arabian camel is found from northwestern India and the lowlands of Afghanistan to the
Arabian Peninsula and Somalia to the south and westward across the African deserts. In Australia a
population of about 25, The Arabian camel is adapted to subsistence in the desert by its structural
qualities and by its ability to bite off and consume the thorny plants that grow there.

This is a leopard, a big cat with bright yellow colour and black spots. Those black spots are
nearly of the same size from its nose to its tail. It is about six to seven and a half feet long. People
also call this animal panther.
Although it is a big animal, its ears are quite small. However, it has a long tail and it runs very
fast. It jumps very well too. That is why it is good at chasing and catching its preys.
To catch its prey, it often hides on a tree and waits until small animals come near. When the animals

CHEETAH
A cheetah is the fastest animal on land. It can run 100 kilometers an hour. A cheetah has a small head
and small ears, and long powerful legs. It is now rare and is one of the animals which is in danger of
extinction.
It always hunts and chases its prey on open ground. This is a different way of hunting from the other
“big cats.” They like to stay in and near trees to catch their prey.
