BITSoM’s 3rd Cohort achieves 100% Summer Placement

All 131 participating students secured summer internship opportunities in


55 companies, at a median stipend of Rs. 2 Lakhs

Mumbai, 7th May, 2024: BITS School of Management (BITSoM), announced 100%
Summer Internship Placement for its third cohort (MBA Class of 2023-25). The
students bagged internship opportunities from leading companies, across various
industries and domains, at a median stipend of Rs. 2 lakhs.

The placement cycle attracted prominent consulting companies like McKinsey & Co,
EY, PwC and Gartner. Leading banking and financial services companies that made
offers include JP Morgan Chase & Co, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Mutual
Fund, ICICI Prudential AMC, Quantum AMC, Cervin Ventures, and Avista Advisory.
Students also bagged offers from conglomerates and FMCG/FMCD organisations
including Tata Sons, Aditya Birla Group, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia, Nivea, Pidilite,
Jubilant Foodworks, Pernod Ricard, Signify, Tata Consumer among many more. E-
commerce, IT and Telecom companies such as FlipKart, Big Basket, Vodafone Idea,
Flex, Merilytics, Fanplay IOT, and Arka Energy, from the sustainable energy sector
also made offers.

BITSoM hosted 55 companies in all during this current Summer Internship Placement
cycle. All 131 students who participated in the summer internship placement process
were placed at a median stipend of Rs. 2 lakhs (same as last year). While a majority
of students were placed through the campus process, there were 22 students who
proactively found their own internships.

The overall average of the cohort stands at Rs. 1.75 lakhs, aggregate for two months.
The top ten percent of the class has an average stipend of Rs. 3.42 lakhs and the top
30% has secured an average stipend of Rs. 3.06 lakhs. The top half of the class has
an average stipend of Rs. 2.70 lakhs.

Commenting on the placement process, Dr Saravanan Kesavan, Dean and Professor


of Operations, BITSoM said, “I congratulate the Class of 2025 on their performance!
While economic conditions have been less than ideal this year, our Industry
Partnership & Career Services team made extraordinary efforts to create opportunities
for every student who participated in the Summer Internship Placement process. A
broad range of sought after industries and domains have been well represented, with
several marquee names added to the portfolio this year. BITSoM aims to be among
the very best B-schools in the country, a goal we are pursuing with a strategic vision,
determination, and importantly in this context - transparency.”
