1. Nowadays, computers have made life easier and more convenient.

Other people
think that computers have made life more complex and stressful. What is your
opinion?

Nowadays, social networks play an important role in modern life. Although social networking
websites have some drawbacks, their benefits should be more carefully considered.

There are several reasons why computers have a negative effect on human lives. The first is that
computers have made life more complex and stressful. To be more specific, when people are too
dependent on computers, the internet, or Google, they will become inactive and lazy, leading to a
decrease in imagination and creativity. The second, using computers to share personal
information on social media websites, does have risks. For example, if people share some
information, like phone numbers or credit card numbers, they can give hackers a chance to steal
the data with the aim of a financial attack.

However, the advantages that computers bring to humans would be much more considered.
Firstly, users use computers as a tool for entertainment. In fact, they can relax by listening to
music or watching videos online, which helps them refresh their minds after a busy time of work
and study. Secondly, thanks to computers, it is a great chance for people to update a lot of
information and widen their understanding. For instance, they can find any kind of information
online with a click of the mouse, helping them save a lot of time to finish their tasks.

In conclusion, it seems to me that computers have more benefits than drawbacks. By considering
both sides, people will know how to use computers effectively.

2. Some people like to do only what they already do well. Other people prefer to try
new things and take risks.

From my everyday experience and observation, I think that all people who succeed in life have
to work hard and gain more knowledge and experience in order to reach their goals. On the other
hand, people who all their lives do things they already do well and do not improve their
knowledge do not move forward. I base my statement on the following points:

First of all, people who want to succeed must constantly improve their knowledge and gain more
experience. Moreover, they must be the best at their profession. So, they need to try new things,
sometimes take risks, and work hard.

Second of all, it is impossible to live without trying new things. Imagine one wants to learn how
to drive. He will never be able to do it without learning new things, such as driving rules.

Personally, I think that it is very interesting to learn new things, to gain more experience, and to
make new goals and reach them. Life is too short to stay in one place. People need changes
because they make our lives more beautiful and exciting. We find out new things, learn new
things, and dream of knowing other things. People need challenges because, while overcoming
obstacles, we make new discoveries, become stronger, perfect ourselves, and move forward.
To sum up, I believe that people’s aspiration for learning new things is the main reason for the
way we live now. People make many discoveries and inventions that make our lives easier,
happier, and longer.

3. Some people believe that a college or university education should be available to all
students. Others believe that higher education should be available only to good
students.

Along with the technological advances and modernization, educational quality is rising
significantly. However, recently this phenomenon has triggered a heated discussion as to whether
all students should be allowed freely to have a place at university. As much learning opportunity
should be available to everybody, I believe that tertiary education should only be feasible for
students who meet the requirement of an entrance condition.

Firstly, a limited position in the university will motivate students to study hard and be fiercely
determined, so the level of input will be relevant to the university’s demands. By contrast, if the
requirement of entrance conditions is abolished, students will have no incentive to enhance their
knowledge and build their own self-discipline. Therefore, they do not prepare well enough to
spend 4 years or more in university, which requires independence, self-study skills, and solid
background knowledge. As a consequence, this will result in low-quality output.

Secondly, if tertiary education is available to all students, this will directly impact the economy.
In terms of occupational structure, some jobs require physical strength and practical skills, such
as carpenter, worker, ... On the other hand, those who finish university training are unlikely to
pick blue-collar work over white-collar work, and thus, an imbalance in the workforce and a high
level of unemployment are inevitable. For example, in Vietnam, it is predicted that by 2020, over
30000 pedagogical graduates will be unemployed. Furthermore, if this policy is passed, the
government will have to allocate a great deal of budget to build more university and research
facilities. This is extremely wasteful because, as a result of the aforementioned result, low-
quality output is not likely to compensate for the spent money.

In conclusion, due to both social and economic results, I believe that tertiary learning
opportunities should only be possible for well-prepared students.

4. Advantages and Disadvantages of Part-Time Jobs for Students

Many students work while attending university for many different reasons. It can be difficult to
balance work and school, but it can certainly be done. Actually, there are many advantages, such
as earning money, gaining new experience, and developing organizational skills. However, you
should take into account some disadvantages, for instance, the lack of time and stress.

Generally speaking, students can benefit a lot from part-time jobs. The first advantage is that
students can earn money. By taking a part-time job, students can pay a part of their living costs
and at the same time relieve their parents` burden. Some young people have to earn money on
their own to pay the tuition, while others just earn money to pay for their expenditures or satisfy
their desires. Moreover, earning money also helps students have a sense of independence. It is
great when you earn your own money without having to rely on others to give it to you.

Second, another advantage is that students can acquire more experiences and polish their skills
when taking part-time jobs. For example, if someone enjoys teaching, working part-time as a
tutor may help him or her improve their teaching skills and gain experience.

Third, it can help students develop their organizational and multi-tasking skills. They will have
to get used to holding a job and attending the university simultaneously. It is a chance to learn
time management. Working will force a person to complete work ahead of schedule and learn to
manage their time appropriately. According to the article "5 Time Management Tips for
Working Students", there are some simple ways to manage your time easily, such as not wasting
your time on the Internet, limiting social activities, etc.

On the contrary, there are some disadvantages, too. First of all, there is a lack of time to focus on
studies. There is a high possibility that students will have trouble finding time to study. It is
obvious that if you have a job, you automatically have less time to do the rest. Students doing
part-time jobs are busy running between the working place and the university. As a result, they
get exhausted and even skip classes to have a nap after hard work. Moreover, they may
experience stress with a difficult or time-consuming project. Also, it can endanger the health.

In conclusion, nothing is perfect. Maintaining a job while attending school is not for everyone. A
self-motivated and well-organized person may find it easier to balance work and school, while
another who really needs to concentrate to do well in studies may find having a job is too
difficult. So all of us should think twice before taking part-time jobs. And when we take it, we
can’t ignore our other duties.

5. Some parents think that helping their children with their homework is good. Others
think children should do their homework on their own. Discuss both views and give
your opinion.

People have different opinions about whether parents ought to help their children with their
homework or not. While sometimes children should be helped when they have difficulty
understanding certain lessons, I believe that they should be encouraged to do their homework on
their own.

On the one hand, there are some instances when children really need parents’ help with their
homework. Firstly, when students are unable to comprehend some difficult concepts profoundly,
parents should help them to do their homework; consequently, that subject will not be a burden
for them. Moreover, some students are introverts and hesitate to ask their doubts in class.
However, they are more comfortable asking anything of their parents. Hence, there is no harm in
helping the students better understand the concepts, as it would eliminate the elements that
hamper their growth in their studies.

On the other hand, I think that students should be motivated to complete their homework by
themselves. First of all, when learners do their homework by putting in a huge amount of effort
and time, they tend to retain that for a longer time span than the pupils who take others’ help in
their work. Furthermore, the self-esteem of students gets a boost when they complete their
homework on their own. For instance, child psychologists have revealed that pupils who do their
homework without support are more confident, creative, and active in their class. Therefore,
letting children learn on their own enhances their intellectual ability.

In conclusion, even though children sometimes benefit from parental support with their
homework, I believe that parents should encourage their children to do it on their own as it is
pivotal for improving their cognitive abilities.

6. Making friends online: advantages and disadvantages

As a result of rapid technological development, more options to make friends online have
emerged. While many people consider online interaction risky, I believe that advantages can be
taken from such platforms as well.

Making friends through chat rooms or social sites might be disadvantageous. First, internet users
might be miserably cheaters might be disadvantageous. First, internet users might be miserably
cheated. Specifically, diverse cases of cyberbullying or other crimes have been reported
worldwide. For instance, criminals may steal a person’s online account and use it to extort
money from their relatives. Furthermore, spending too much time chatting online with strangers
might be a huge loss of energy. Many teenagers are now being blamed for spending consecutive
days on social media while dismissing their studies.

However, it is undeniable that there are numerous advantages to making friends online. Firstly, it
is probably more convenient and cost-effective than meeting someone in person. People can
merely stay at home and visit various websites to search for someone who suits them. Secondly,
making friends online can be more comfortable than face-to-face, as internet users might not
know much about one’s private life in reality. Thus, people usually find it easier to chat with an
online friend than to arrange a direct meeting. Furthermore, having various friends online can
significantly help broaden a person’s knowledge because internet users can learn much about
various countries and cultures by talking to an online friend who lives there.

In conclusion, making online friends can be both advantageous and disadvantageous. The
importance is that people should be aware of such pros and cons and be cautious when
establishing an online relationship.

7. importance of English

Nowadays, English has become a very popular language around the world. There are more than
700 million English speakers in the world, which is a terrible number to prove the importance of
the language. In this essay, I will discuss the necessity of learning English.

According to recent research conducted in America last January of this year, 103% of the
travelers are good at speaking English. This means that people use English to communicate with
everyone, and this language is widespread everywhere, especially in rural areas. Students in the
countryside have learned English since they were in primary school. Besides, many language
centers are open to serve our learning.

English is a useful language for us. Firstly, learning English helps people communicate and
travel easily. In particular, it helps people from different countries work together. Secondly, it is
a good opportunity for our career. We can communicate with international customers and
partners without language barriers to get more opportunities. Thirdly, English is the main
language of newspapers and books. In our work, it helps us understand documents relating to our
job. Furthermore, we have a good job and a high salary in the future, which gives us a chance to
study abroad.

Today, learning English is easy with everything around us. We can study on the Internet, chat
with foreign friends, and find information. We can also walk the park and exchange with foreign
travelers.

To sum up, learning English is very important to us because it helps us achieve good results at
work. We must try to learn good English because it is one of the most difficult languages.

8. Social media is becoming increasingly popular among all age groups. However,
sharing personal information on social media websites does have risks. Do you think
that the advantages of social media outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, social media is becoming indispensable in modern life. Although social media is not
without disadvantages, the upsides are far more significant.

There are many reasons why social media can have a negative effect on people. First, if people
use these websites too much, it is a waste of time. For example, when students spend all day
playing games or chatting online, they have no time for study or for themselves or their friends.
The second, sharing personal information on social media websites, does have risks. It means
that when users share too much information, like phone numbers, emails, or credit card numbers,
they can give hackers access to the data with the aim of launching financial attacks.

However, the benefits that social networks bring to humans should be much more considered.
Firstly, people use such websites as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter as tools of entertainment.
In fact, users can listen to music and watch movies whenever and wherever they want. Which
help them unwind after a busy time at work. Secondly, social networking websites have made
life easier and more convenient. For example, people use Facebook to update their statuses or
share photos to have memories, and some people use Facebook to keep in touch with family and
friends all over the world.

In conclusion, it seems that social networks have more advantages than disadvantages. By
considering the pros and cons, people will know how to use them effectively.

1. Some hold the view that students can face certain challenges with a part-time job.
Meanwhile, others argue that working part-time can bring students some benefits.
It is true that, with economic and social development, the number of students who work
part-time during school hours is increasing remarkably. As a result, it has become one of
the most controversial issues among students. Some hold the view that students can face
certain challenges with a part-time job. Meanwhile, others argue that working part-time
can bring students some benefits. Personally, I am strongly convinced that students
should work part-time for three reasons that I’m going to explain in the following essay.

In general, those who stand for the idea that students should not work part-time usually
claim that students should save time for their lessons and exercises rather than work part-
time. Furthermore, they need to maintain good health for their studies, and it may risk
their lives while working in an insecure environment. Though they seem to have a point
in their argument, it turns out to be more convincing that the benefits students get from
doing part-time jobs outweigh the risks.

First of all, it is commonly believed that students can get more practical experience for
their future businesses. In fact, formal training at colleges or universities only provides
students with a basic background. In this case, there is no doubt that working part-time
seems to be more helpful, as it helps students learn more about responsibilities as well as
real business challenges, which reinforce what they are learning in school. For instance,
some studies show that undergraduates working part-time are more confident than others
when they start a job after graduation. In other words, the more experiences students gain
during school time, the more benefits they will get in their future businesses.

Another important point is that, thanks to a part-time job, students can earn some money
to spend on daily expenses. In evidence of this, a college or university student often
spends at least three years finishing their study syllabus, which substantially triggers a big
debt. Therefore, it is essential that students work part-time to reduce their debt. In fact,
there has been an increase in the number of students leaving college or university because
they don’t have enough money to pay for training fees in recent years. In addition, it is
evident that it is hard to earn money in most situations, so earning money during the
school years also teaches students to understand the true values of money.

Last but not least, it can be argued that working part-time can actually encourage
students to improve their time management skills, which are difficult to develop without
activities outside of their colleges or universities. In details, it will help students to show
that they are capable of keeping a balance between their study and their work and
ensuring that they spend enough time on their academic commitments, such as homework
or exercise assignments. As a result, their time management skills will be developed.

All in all, it is clearly evident that students can gain several benefits from working part-
time. Apart from getting more practical experiences and earning money to spend on their
tuition as well as their daily expenses, they can properly develop their time management
skills, which, hopefully, will prepare them for a good future.
2. People wonder whether parents should help children with their homework.

Nowadays, people wonder whether parents should help children with their homework.
While I would argue that helping their children with homework is good, I believe it
would be much better for children to do their homework on their own.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why parents should help their kids with
homework. The first is that some homework is too difficult for students to do by
themselves. In fact, without the help, they cannot finish their homework and can lose
marks in future exams. The second, helping children with homework, means that it can
provide a chance for parents to evaluate their kids’ progress. Thus, they can provide the
best guidance for their children to learn better at school.

On the other hand, I believe it would be much better if children did their homework on
their own. Firstly, if parents always give them a hand, they will become lazier and more
dependent. To be more specific, when there is no one to help and teach them at home,
they will not finish their task. Secondly, doing homework by themselves can improve
students independence and teamwork skills. It means that children will know how to
solve their problems and learn with their friends at school.

In conclusion, I understand why parents should help children with their homework.
However, it seems to me that doing homework on their own is much better for children.

3. Making friends online carries unnecessary risks.

With the advent of information technology, social networking websites have become
immensely popular for making friends online. Some people consider them an
inappropriate means of making friends, while for others, chat rooms and social sites are
the most convenient way of making new friends. In my opinion, making friends online
carries unnecessary risks. So it is essential to be careful before indulging in such
practices. In this essay, I will support my beliefs with relevant examples and ideas.

To begin with, crime is rife among youngsters these days and is the most prevailing and
disturbing aspect of society. According to a recent Cambridge University survey,
cybercrime is the most common offense among teenagers nowadays and is increasing
rapidly at an alarming rate.

Cybercriminals follow a typical pattern to trap an individual. This begins with

befriending innocent people on the internet. The next step is to gain their trust and
confidence. Once a victim is trapped, offenders very cleverly ask them to share their
personal details so that they can misuse that data. Hackers use that personal information
for the purpose of holding it for ransom or sometimes for other crimes, such as sexual
assault. Besides this, offenders do not disclose their true identity and post fake
information about themselves on websites. As a result, they manage to get off unscathed.

To conclude, I firmly believe that making friends online with total strangers is a mistake,
as it can compromise our safety and privacy. Care should be taken while revealing
personal information online.

4. The necessity of learning English

Nowadays, English has become a very popular language around the world. There are
more than 700 million English speakers in the world, which is a terrible number to prove
the importance of the language. In this essay, I will discuss the necessity of learning

To sum up, Learning English is very important with us which helps us to attend good
results in the working. We must try to learn good English because it is one of the most
difficult languages.

5. Social networking.

I'm sure you already use at least one social media platform such as Facebook, Google,
Zalo, etc. Do you find it more advantageous or more disadvantageous? Let's take a look
at the pros and cons of social networking.
On one hand, social networks bring about lots of advantages. First and foremost, they are
the fastest and most convenient way people communicate nowadays. People no longer
need to write or send letters and wait for a long time before receiving responses. They
just need a smartphone, a tablet, or a laptop that is connected to the Internet to talk face-
to-face with each other even when they live far from each other. Another huge advantage
of social networks is that they are a way to spread beautiful messages. For example, when
someone is having difficulties, people can post the information on Facebook or Zala to
raise funds. Thanks to social platforms, many disabled people are helped, and many
people living in poverty can be supported. Besides, social networks help firms and
corporations advertise their products and sell them online, which increases their revenue
dramatically. Students use social media platforms to share study tips and help each other
learn.

On the other hand, social media has several drawbacks. The most negative effect is that
people, especially young people, get addicted to social networking. They spend even
more than 4 hours a day checking their social network, which wastes a lot of their time.
Nowadays, you can easily see the young people on the streets staring at their smartphones
to use Facebook, Viber, SnapChat, etc. Furthermore, even primary children now use
facebook, which affect badly on their awareness. Another problem concerning social
media is the invasion of privacy. When you log in, you must provide your private
information. Although the social network owners commit not to reveal your profile, the
hackers can take it from them whenever they can. Furthermore, some people use social
networks for bad purposes, such as to offend someone or spread incorrect information.

In conclusion, social networking is beneficial when you make use of it. I suggest that you
take responsibility for what you do and protect your privacy. Be careful with what you
post and treat others as if you were in a face-to-face situation.

6. Nowadays, computers have made life easier and more convenient. Other people
think that computers have made life more complex and stressful. What is your
opinion?

Nowadays, social networks play an important role in modern life. Although social
networking websites have some drawbacks, their benefits should be more carefully
considered.
There are several reasons why computers have a negative effect on human lives. The first
is that computers have made life more complex and stressful. To be more specific, when

In conclusion, it seems to me that computers have more benefits than drawbacks. By

considering both sides, people will know how to use computers effectively.

7. Many people think that scientific technology can bring happiness to humans.
What is your opinion? / Do you agree or disagree?

In recent decades, technology has become an indispensable part of human life. While
many people believe that technology can bring human convenience, it is also leading to
some negative consequences.

On the one hand, the benefits that technology brings would be considered. First,
technology is a tool of entertainment. In fact, people can use technology like a laptop or
smart phone to listen to music, watch films, or chat with friends whenever and wherever
they want. Second, by using technology, people have a chance to update a lot of
information and widen their understanding of many things happening in the world. For
example, all information related to all aspects of life is available on Google or Wikipedia.

On the other hand, there are several reasons why technology has a negative effect on
people. If people use technology too much, it is a waste of time. In fact, many people
spend all day surfing the internet on their cell phones; they have no time to do their
homework or take care of their families or friends. Secondly, a large number of users are
too dependent on technology, which makes them lazier. This means that they search for
information on the internet without thinking or brainstorming and then copy all of it.

In conclusion, technology seems to have both advantages and disadvantages. By

considering pros and cons, people will know how to use it effectively.
8. Social media is becoming increasingly popular among all age groups.
However, sharing personal information on social media websites does have risks.
Do you think that the advantages of social media outweigh the disadvantages?

In conclusion, it seems that social networks have more advantages than disadvantages.
By considering the pros and cons, people will know how to use them effectively.

9. Many students decide to further their studies abroad. What are the benefits
and drawbacks of studying abroad?

In recent decades, many students have decided to further their studies abroad. While I
would argue that studying overseas has some advantages, I also believe it has some
disadvantages.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why studying abroad can have a positive effect
on young people. The first is that many students travel abroad to study at a top university.
In fact, they can gain a valuable qualification, so they can open the door for better job
opportunities. The second is that students can widen their understanding and meet up
with many people from all nations in the world. Therefore, they have a chance to make
more friends and discover new horizons.

On the other hand, the drawbacks that studying abroad can bring to students would be
considered. Firstly, studying abroad means that students have to live far away from
family and friends. In fact, they may feel homesick and lonely, and their lives may be
boring in some cases. Secondly, they can face language barriers and culture shocks. To
be more specific, students find it hard to communicate with local people.

In conclusion, it seems to me that studying overseas has both benefits and drawbacks. By
considering pros and cons, students will make the best decisions on their own.

10. The U.S. Census reports that the single-child family is the fastest-growing
family unit for the last 20 years.

It is true that the single-child family has been the fastest-growing family unit for the last
20 years. While I would argue that being the only child in the family has some benefits, I
also believe this trend has some drawbacks.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why being the only child can have a positive
effect on children. The first, being the only child, means that the children will get the
undivided love and attention of their parents. In fact, their parents will spend all their
money or all their time on them to make sure they have the best life possible. The second
group of children is more mature and independent because they have to protect
themselves. For example, when their parents are so busy with work that they cannot help
or teach them, the children have to learn how to solve the problems by themselves.

On the other hand, the drawbacks that being the only child can bring to children would be
considered. Firstly, some kids feel lonely. To be more specific, they do not have a sibling
to play with or to share everything with, which may make their life boring. Secondly,
these children are sometimes very spoiled and selfish. In fact, they are used to thinking
that they are the most important people, so they must have everything only for
themselves, leading to some wrong behavior.

In conclusion, it seems to me that being the only child has both advantages and
disadvantages. By considering pros and cons, young parents will decide to have one or
more than one child.
11. Some parents think that helping their children with their homework is good.
Others think children should do their homework on their own. Discuss both
views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, people wonder whether parents should help children with their homework.
While I would argue that helping their children with homework is good, I believe it
would be much better for children to do their homework on their own.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why parents should help their kids with

they will not finish their task. Secondly, doing homework by themselves can improve
students independence and teamwork skills. It means that children will know how to
solve their problems and learn with their friends at school.

In conclusion, I understand why parents should help children with their homework.
However, it seems to me that doing homework on their own is much better for children.

12. Some people believe that university students should be required to attend
classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, many students wonder whether they should go to universities. While I would
argue that going to classes should be optional for students, I believe it would be much
better for them to be required to attend classes.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why attending classes is optional for university
students. Firstly, students are really adults. If they find it unnecessary to go to classes,
they could stay at home and do something else. Secondly, instead of going to class to
learn, students can stay at home for self-study. In fact, in university education, people
should focus on their results rather than the process. When a student can study to pass the
exams, he is qualified.

On the other hand, I believe it would be much better if students attended classes
regularly. The first is that teachers can teach students a lot of things that cannot be
obtained from books. Since some professors believe that books cannot provide enough
information for students to understand, they will give them more examples and materials.
The second is that by attending the classes, students have a better chance to make friends
and widen their relationships. It means that they will have more friends and improve their
communication skills.

In conclusion, I understand why attending classes should sometimes be optional for

students. However, it seems to me that going to classes regularly is much better for them.

13. Some universities require students to take classes in many subjects. Other
universities require students to specialize in one subject. Which one is better?
Discuss both views and give an opinion.

Nowadays, many students wonder whether they should specialize in one subject. While I
would argue that studying only one major may be important for students, I believe it
would be much better for them to take classes in many subjects.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why students should learn one subject. The
first is that they can save a lot of time. In fact, when students focus on only one major,
they will have more time to finish their homework and assignments in a shorter amount
of time. The second is that by enrolling in one subject, students have a chance to save a
huge amount of money. Clearly, everything will cost a lot of money, like books and
materials, so if they work on one subject, they can save a lot of money for their families.

On the other hand, I believe that attending many subjects would be much more
considered. Firstly, by learning many subjects, students can gain a lot of knowledge and
broaden their understanding of many different fields. For example, pupils who study
science also understand art or music. Secondly, students who graduated with many
courses are likely to have a better career in the future. In fact, when they work in various
kinds of fields, they can select the most suitable job that they prefer.

In conclusion, I understand why students would prefer to take only one subject. However,
it seems to me that studying many subjects is much better for them.

14. In some countries, young people have little leisure time and are under a lot of
pressure to work hard for their studies. What do you think the causes are, and
what solutions can you suggest?
It is true that in some countries, young people have little leisure time and are under a lot
of pressure to work hard for their studies. Although this problem is caused by some
factors, some solutions should be considered to tackle it.

There are several reasons why young people spend most of their time studying hard and
have less free time for them. The first is that almost all parents have great expectations
for their children’s future. For example, in some cities in Vietnam, many parents take
their kids to after-school classes in the evening after school. The second is that the labor
market is becoming more and more competitive. It means that students have to work
really hard with the aim of better job opportunities and a brighter future.

However, some measures should be considered to solve this problem. Firstly, parents
should not put too much pressure on their children. Instead, students should arrange their
own timetable, which helps them manage their time to balance their study and free
activities. Secondly, schools should reduce the number of tests and exams to ease the
pressure on students. For example, there are no tests or exams for students in Finland, so
they have a chance to take part in more social activities, which can increase their
creativity and imagination.

In conclusion, two main reasons are cited as the causes of this problem. I think parents
and schools should join hands to tackle this issue as soon as possible.

15 .In some countries, an increasing number of people are suffering from health
problems as a result of eating too much fast food. It is therefore necessary for the
government to impose a higher tax on this kind of food. To what extent do you agree
or disagree with this statement?

It is true that in some parts of the world, including some countries, an increasing number
of people are suffering from health problems as a result of consuming. Therefore, I
strongly agree with the statement that the government should impose a higher tax on this
kind of food.

First of all, I think a higher tax should be imposed on fast food because the health of the
citizens is important to the development of the country. For example, if a person
consumes fast food for his daily meals, he is likely to face health problems such as
obesity, high blood pressure, and so on, which makes him work ineffectively.

Secondly, I also believe that increasing taxes would raise prices and lower consumption.
In fact, when it is too expensive for people to buy this kind of food, only a small
percentage of the population can afford it. Therefore, they will spend more time cooking
meals at home, which is better for their health. Finally, in addition to imposing a higher
tax on fast food, I think the government should limit the time of fast food advertisements
on television and social media.
In conclusion, I agree that with the higher taxes imposed on fast food, the number of
people consuming fast food will decrease and the health of people will be enhanced.
However, to solve the problem effectively, the government should take action by
changing the time of advertisements on television.

16. When students finish school, they find themselves in the embarrassing situation
of deciding whether to get a job or continue their education.

Nowadays, many students wonder whether they should get a job or continue their
education. While I would argue that postgraduate study should be important for students,
I believe it would be much better for them to enter the workforce.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why students should continue their education.
Firstly, it is the main factor for students to broaden their knowledge with the aim of a
better salary in the future. For example, occupations in the fields of business, finance, and
sales lead to the highest wage premiums for employees with a master’s degree. Secondly,
students will have a chance to enhance their soft skills. It means that when they return to
school, they can learn a lot of skills like communication and teamwork, which can give
them the experience to be prepared and equipped to take that next step toward achieving
their goals.

On the other hand, I believe that getting a job would be much more considered. The first
is that joining the workforce gives students an early start in climbing the corporate ladder.
They will begin to acquire professional skills and experience that might be beneficial to
their career later on, and they will gain this sooner than people who spend two years or
more getting a master’s degree. The second, having a postgraduate degree, does not mean
having a well-paid job in the future. In fact, in the workplace, experience and practical
skills are more important than a degree.

In conclusion, I understand why students would prefer to pursue higher education.

However, it seems to me that entering the workforce is much better for them.

17. A recent survey shows that some parents spend less time helping their children
with homework. Do you agree or disagree?

A recent survey shows that some parents spend less time helping their children with
homework. And I partly agree with this statement for many reasons.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why parents should help their children with
homework. The first is that some homework is too difficult for students to do by
themselves. In fact, without the help, they cannot finish their homework and can lose
marks in future exams. The second, helping children with homework, means that it can
provide a chance for parents to evaluate their kids’ progress. Therefore, they can provide
the best guidance for their children to learn better at school.

On the other hand, I understand why parents spend less time helping their children with
homework. Firstly, if parents always give them a hand, they will become lazier and more
dependent. To be more specific, when there is no one to help and teach them at home,
they will not finish their task. Secondly, doing homework by themselves can improve
students independence and teamwork skillsork. Firstly, if parents always give them a
hand, they will become lazier and more dependent. To be more specific, when there is no
one to help and teach them at home, they will not finish their task. Secondly, doing
homework by themselves can improve students' independence and teamwork skills. It
means that children will know how to solve their problems and learn with their friends at
school.

In conclusion, spending time helping children with homework has both pros and cons. By
considering both views, parents will decide how much time to spend on their kids’ tasks.

18. Nowadays, an increasing number of Vietnamese students study in foreign

countries. While studying abroad is considered a life-transforming opportunity for
many students, there are numerous challenges awaiting them. What are your views
on this?

Today, a large number of Vietnamese students choose to study abroad. While I accept
that overseas courses change students’ lives for the better, I also believe that students
have to face a variety of obstacles.
On the one hand, studying abroad helps students have a better life in the future. It is true
that foreign countries often offer better courses than those in their homeland. As a result,
students are able to obtain foreign degrees, which allow them to seek out better
employment opportunities in the future. A well-paid job will ensure a higher standard of
living. Another reason is that when students learn in another country, they can be more
independent. Because they live on their own, they have to learn how to do everything by
themselves, for example, do housework, manage their time and money, and so on.
Therefore, they will become more mature and have more chances to lead a successful life
later. Finally, studying in another country enables learners to study a foreign language,
which might aid them in finding a job with a higher salary.

On the other hand, I also support the view that overseas students usually encounter plenty
of difficulties. The first disadvantage is that living alone in an unfamiliar culture can
cause homesickness. Some students might miss their families so much that it can badly
affect their studies. Moreover, learning a foreign language can be a challenge for many
students, and culture shock is a common problem, too. However, this can be solved if
students are well prepared in advance, for example, by taking an English course to master
the target language and collecting as much information as possible about the destination
country.

All in all, it can be clearly seen that the pros of studying abroad outweigh the cons.
Provided that students expect difficulties and overcome them, they can succeed in the
future.

19. Some people believe the aim of university education is to help graduates get
better jobs. Others believe there are much wider benefits to university education for
both individuals and society as a whole. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

These days, more and more people are making the choice to go to university. While some
people believe that the only purpose of a university education is to improve job prospects,
others think that society and individuals benefit in much broader ways.
On the one hand, one of the main aims of university is to secure a better job. It is obvious
that university education provides students with useful information that is necessary for
their future jobs in different fields. Knowledge gained during university attendance is of
great value to graduates after leaving university. Another reason is that in the knowledge-
based economy, employers seem to appreciate those with higher education. As a result,
graduates seem to be more attractive to potential recruiters than others who do not.
However, there are other benefits for individuals and society. Firstly, the independence of
living away from home is a pro because it helps the students develop better social skills
and improve as a person. Another merit is that many students will have to leave their
families, live in halls of residence, and meet new friends. As a result, they become more
mature and confident, which enables them to live more fulfilling lives. Secondly, society
will gain from the contribution that the graduates can make to the economy. We are
living in a very competitive world, so countries need educated people in order to compete
and prosper.

In conclusion, I believe that although the main aim of a university education is to get the
best job, there are clearly other benefits. If we continue to promote and encourage
university attendance, it will lead to a better future for individuals and society.

2o. Smoking

Nowadays, smoking is becoming more common, both in developed and developing

countries. Many people say that tobacco companies should be closed down, and I totally
agree with that idea for many reasons.

Many people believe that smoking is really harmful for health, and I think people should
stop smoking for many reasons. The first reason is that it can cause many diseases such
as lung cancer, throat cancer, liver cancer, and so on. It can shorten the lives of not only
smokers but also secondhand smokers. The second reason is that smoking can affect
many people around us, like family members, friends, and co-workers. They will feel
uncomfortable when we smoke. Finally, smoking can cause pollution. In the future, the
air will not be clean and fresh any more, which may harm the lives of people and
creations in the world.

In conclusion, it seems that smoking has a lot of bad effects on people and the
environment. By considering pros and cons, the governments should find the best ways to
use its production and consumption.

21. Some people like to do only what they already do well. Other people prefer to try
new things and take risks.

From my everyday experience and observation, I think that all people who succeed in life
have to work hard and gain more knowledge and experience in order to reach their goals.
On the other hand, people who all their lives do things they already do well and do not
improve their knowledge do not move forward. I base my statement on the following
points:

First of all, people who want to succeed must constantly improve their knowledge and
gain more experience. Moreover, they must be the best at their profession. So, they need
to try new things, sometimes take risks, and work hard.

Second of all, it is impossible to live without trying new things. Imagine one wants to
learn how to drive. He will never be able to do it without learning new things, such as
driving rules.

Personally, I think that it is very interesting to learn new things, to gain more experience,
and to make new goals and reach them. Life is too short to stay in one place. People need
changes because they make our lives more beautiful and exciting. We find out new
things, learn new things, and dream of knowing other things. People need challenges
because, while overcoming obstacles, we make new discoveries, become stronger, perfect
ourselves, and move forward.

To sum up, I believe that people’s aspiration for learning new things is the main reason
for the way we live now. People make many discoveries and inventions that make our
lives easier, happier, and longer.
22. Some people believe that a college or university education should be available to
all students. Others believe that higher education should be available only to good
students.

Along with the technological advances and modernization, educational quality is rising
significantly. However, recently this phenomenon has triggered a heated discussion as to
whether all students should be allowed freely to have a place at university. As much
learning opportunity should be available to everybody, I believe that tertiary education
should only be feasible for students who meet the requirement of an entrance condition.

Firstly, a limited position in the university will motivate students to study hard and be
fiercely determined, so the level of input will be relevant to the university’s demands. By
contrast, if the requirement of entrance conditions is abolished, students will have no
incentive to enhance their knowledge and build their own self-discipline. Therefore, they
do not prepare well enough to spend 4 years or more in university, which requires
independence, self-study skills, and solid background knowledge. As a consequence, this
will result in low-quality output.

Secondly, if tertiary education is available to all students, this will directly impact the
economy. In terms of occupational structure, some jobs require physical strength and
practical skills, such as carpenter, worker,... On the other hand, those who finish
university training are unlikely to pick blue-collar work over white-collar work, and thus,
an imbalance in the workforce and a high level of unemployment are inevitable. For
example, in Vietnam, it is predicted that by 2020, over 30000 pedagogical graduates will
be unemployed. Furthermore, if this policy is passed, the government will have to
allocate a great deal of budget to build more university and research facilities. This is
extremely wasteful because, as a result of the aforementioned result, low-quality output is
not likely to compensate for the spent money.

In conclusion, due to both social and economic results, I believe that tertiary learning
opportunities should only be possible for well-prepared students.

23. Student using cellphones at school: advantages and disadvantages

( phones are distracting or necessary for children?)

It cannot dennied that cellphones is equally important in people’s life. Cellphone is a

fairly common phenomenon among student at school. So what are the benefits and harms
of student using cellphones at seminary. The mentioned above opinions might be
reasonal. In this essay, some reasons will be given and some personal ideas will be added.

On the one hand, student using cellphones at school brings about many benefits. To
commence with, the phone for parents to contact when necessary or to help control
children more effectively. In particular, in modern society, there are many reasons
separating parents and children such as work, busy school schedules, etc. A mobile
device will help both sides communicate, exchange and control each other's schedules
easier. In addition, children can be more active in learning, seeking information and
knowledge without having to depend too much on teachers. Most of today's smart mobile
devices support a lot of useful learning programs, English training, entertaining games,
etc to help children learn, relax, and create more. motivating children to achieve the best
results in learning. Therefore, on some phones, students can view information about how
they spend their time on their phones, such as how often their phones are unlocked and
how long each app is used. They use that information to improve their digital life
balance. For example, students will time the app and schedule screen changes.

On the other hand, the phone also result in many risks that directly affect the
development of children. Firstly, children use phones too much, especially for playing
games, watching movies… Because of this abuse, children's eyesight in particular and
overall health in general will decrease. Seconndly, children will also tend to ignore
external interactions with parents, friends and society when too focused on the phone
screen, communication and behavior are not improved. Thirdly, the more time a student
spends on their phones, the more likely they are to be exposed to advertisements for
publications that are unhealthy, promote gender stereotypes, or contain age-inappropriate
material.

In conclusion, students using cell phones have many benefits, but also many potential
harms, requiring families and schools to closely connect, accompany and care for
children. Every student also needs to be a knowledgeable user to bring about good
learning results.

24. Single mother

Society is developing more and more, many people choose to live freely and take care of
their children alone. Parenting is hard work, especially when you have to go it alone.
Single mothers are a fast-growing segment of the population as societal norms and family
values shift. So what are benefits and harms of being a singer mother. The mentioned
above opinions might be reasonal. In this essay, some reasons will be given and some
personal ideas will be added.

On the one hand, single mother brings about many benefits. To commence with, it may
be nice to have someone to discuss day-to-day affairs with, but it can also be stressful
when every purchase or decision becomes an argument or a compromise. The benefit of
doing it all alone, means you are your own boss, and you make your own decisions. You
can, of course, involve the kids in any decision-making, they will enjoy being a part of
the process, but the ultimate decision lies with you. Don’t give in to the temptation to
make your children your confidantes when there are serious matters to be considered –
they are not adults and should not shoulder the responsibility of one. If you need someone
to bounce serious ideas off, you can always call your friends. In addition, one thing is
certain, as the family dynamic shifts, your relationship with your children will change.
It’s no longer parents v. kid/s. That united front is now missing and that has its benefits:
As the children take on more responsibility at home, their sense of self-esteem and self-
worth increases. They know they are contributing to the team effort of running the
family. They will become your little helpers, your team members, your partners in crime,
your protectors, and your pride and joy. Furthermore, Admittedly, being a single parent
can be stressful, but there's a great deal of lightness in not having to deal with constant,
impending arguments at home and our lives should be more harmonious much.

On the other hand, there are many challenge of single mother. Firstly, ‌you may be at a
financial disadvantage. Lower income can affect how much money you can spend on
your children’s needs. Secondly, ‌Some children may be affected by and feel upset about
the family situation. They may develop negative feelings about relationships and may
even blame you for their problems. They may also feel a deep sense of loss and grief of
losing a guardian. Not being able to process these feelings can make your children
anxious and aggressive. Thirdly, ‌A single, lonely parent can get attached to their children,
clinging to them for constant company or support. This can make it difficult for children
to be independent or leave home in the future. ‌If you’re a single parent, you may be less
involved in your children’s studies and school activities. Children's performance at school
can be affected if you don’t monitor their activities. Your child may also develop
behavioral problems, be less motivated, and get lower test scores. Finally, being a single
parent gives you all the decision-making power in the house. But this can mean a work
overload for you. As a single parent, you will have more things to look after, from
finances to the house and kids. You may have to multitask your way through the day.
And if you have multiple children, you may have to double your efforts to maintain your
children’s lifestyle.

In conclusion, being a single mother has both advantages and disadvantages. Each person
has to work more, both as a father and as a mother, so they must compromise and adjust
to suit their children so that they can develop well and be happy.

25 . Opposing opinions about exams

Nowadays, it is a common practice for many schools and colleges to assess their student's
knowledge through different exams and tests. Whether this method has more benefits
than drawbacks is debatable. The mentioned above opinions might be reasonal. In this
essay, some reasons will be given and some personal ideas will be added.

On the one hand, exams brings about many benefits. To commence with, exams not only
enhance knowledge they also improve memory. When scholars learn what they have read
throughout the year, this presents the long-term memory more effectively. When at first a
student will commence repeating a definition, it may take remarkable time before the
person learns it, but by practising it again and again, students enhance their learning
skills, and more knowledge could be stored in their brains in a short time. In additions,
practical exams strengthen confidence and dispense the real picture of the individual.
Learning and reading technical lines from the book can make the individual think that
they are equipped to face challenges in life but practising it in real life shows how much
more they need to work. A science exam will help a person find solutions for problems
that may lead the person to failure. For example, an English exam will teach a person
how to speak, walk and talk in a gathering. Furthermore, scoring well in exams delivers
some real benefits. If a student’s aggregate score is more than 90%, then there’s a big
chance that the individual will get a scholarship in any university the person wishes to
apply to. Few international universities can be quite expensive, and not everyone can bear
them. Receiving a scholarship implies that the person can get admission to the most
prestigious universities around the world, and they may not have to pay at all.

On the other hand, there are many challenge of exams. Firstly, an exam tests how the
student has performed on a distinct day. It is not a genuine source of grading a student’s
knowledge and intelligence. If a student scores well all year but disappoints to perform
well on the day of the exam due to any reason, would that mean lack of performance of
the student or lack of knowledge of the student that day? One should think of answering
this themself and then comprehend how fairly students are assessed based on a piece of
paper. Secondly, as soon as the season of the exam arrives, it brings stress and anxiety
with it. The stress of scoring well in an exam and the anxiety of failing an exam can make
life very challenging for students. Some stress can be necessary that motivates students to
study, but extreme stress can lead to increased blood pressure and other serious health
issues. Finally, Stress and anxiety are not the only difficulties caused by exams. During
exams, the child may fear receiving bad grades, which destroy their happiness. A
distressed child is more likely to get depressed, and this can confirm to be very harmful
to their health. Depression originated by exams can have a very adverse impact on the
child’s being.
In conclusion, if some improvements are made to remove the above mentioned
drawbacks, exams certainly provide many educational advantages. Therefore, I believe
that the benefits of exams far outweigh its their drawbacks.

26 . Opposing opinions about small family.

Life is more and more modern, family generation and way of life will change gradually.
It is true that cities are seeing a rise in smaller families and one-person households, while
the extended family is becoming a rarity. So what are benefits and harms of small family.
The mentioned above opinions might be reasonal. In this essay, some reasons will be
given and some personal ideas will be added.

On the one hand, small family brings about many benefits. To commence with, kids of
smaller families get more attention to higher quality from their parents, causing higher
achievements. Kids with one or no siblings can perform better in edification, as parents
hold a restricted amount of emotional and economic resources these happen to be diluted,
meaning their quality diminishes as the number of kid increases. In addition, young
individuals are more probable to attain higher levels of education if their family is
restricted to one or two kids. While socioeconomic factors are pertinent, family size has a
considerable impact on the encouragement and attention children get at home.
Furthermore, The size of a family plays a vital role in preventing and highlighting climate
change. Actually, it may be the solitary campaign for ecologically friendly lifestyles,
which really counts. Considering further influences impacts of climate change, such as
the loss of certain species, a small family makes even more ecological sense. Therefore,
Parents of a small family experience less pressure on family budgets, making them to
make both ends meet easily, and to make them doing essential shopping without any
difficulty by buying quality products.

On the other hand, there are many challenge of small family. Firstly, during the initial
growing stage of a child, there will be not much trouble in developing a child. As the
child grows, the odds of making the child a well-rounded individual are more in a large
family. This is for the reason that every individual in a large family delivers something to
it. Whether it is an interest, fervor, a unique character, or an immense talent Is possible if
the child has more siblings and there is something added fun and thrilling at all times.
Secondly, it can be realized when the child is starting to get selfish. Devoid of that sibling
relationship, the only child in a small family cannot learn the way to share. Although the
child can involve in all activities with tons of kids where he/she can study his/her social
skills, it is not equal to the steady companionship that a sister or brother can give.
Thirdly, When the parents of a small family get old and require help, they do not have
adequate children to take care of them. Moreover, when they need help, if there are
additional children in the family, they can all assist each other out. Finally, if the only
kid becomes sick, there will not be any family member to look after him or her when
his/her parents are working.

In conclusion, there is a growing trend to have a small family around the world, rather
than a big family. Over the preceding decades, birth rates have progressively declined. As
a result, the days of nuclear families have reduced all over the world. Overall, there are
both advantages and disadvantages of having a smaller family. As the sizes of the family
are decreasing, most people believe that the advantages overshadow the disadvantages
considerably.

27. computers

In recent years, a growing number of computers are developing. A piece of technology

which has helped for student in a great way is computers. Computers are used in every
sphere in life and play an important role in student’s life such as study as well as relaxing.

In the first place, computers are device which help students to find a large amount of
knowledge. A computer is connected internet. Document is looked up easily. A great
number of universities, students have to compose a presentation. It requires that the talk
ought to acquire vivid and attractive. A ways to pay attention audiences are that using
computers. Learners can prepare power-point with several pictures, keywords, video to
give example for their presentation.

Another are where computers have helped student is in the communication field. It enable
them keep in touch with their family by means of internet chats, video calls similar to
Skype, social networking and various applications. They can contact each other by
phone also, but phone calls are quite expensive. At the present time, they can contact out
family and friends; and often see them without spending the extra penny. Computers is
used for relaxing by student. They listen to music, play game, read e-books or chat to
friends after a tired day.

To sum up, thank to computer that undergraduate study easier and more opportune than.
Computers have several strengths. Students gain lots of advantages from computer such
as: finding information, contacting with teacher, family or friend, and relaxing. Hoping
computer is an increasing number of evolving to help for student’s life.

28. chính phủ nên đầu tư càng nhiều tiền càng tốt vào giáo dục còn ngươig khác thì
không

In modern societies, almost all authorities from a myriad of countries in the world are
spending a large amount of money to reinforce their regions in many fields. It is believed
that they should invest money to develop education; others, on the other hand, think that
humans can use money to deal with pressing issues. From my perspective, I would argue
that it is better for governments to focus on addressing demanding problems.

Admittedly, education plays a pivotal role in human lives, so governments have a

tendency to devote a huge amount of money to boost the education system. Education is a
worthwhile investment since it is an important way to produce talented people who can
contribute numerous outstanding and virtuous resources as well as develop the
community in a variety of areas, including the economy, politics, and so on. It is difficult
to enhance a country thoroughly if it lacks infrastructure and suitable learning
environments and the administration does not encourage and offer opportunities for
individuals to attend school. Nevertheless, investment in education is a long process, so
humans should divide this money that is spent on education to solve other social matters.

Additionally, these days, people are facing a multitude of problems, and I believe that it
is necessary for authorities to invest money to deal with these matters. Environmental
challenges, diseases, and poverty are almost all topical topics that spark humans’
attention, so investing in them to improve the quality of life is inevitable. Take COVID-
19 as an example. When pneumonia appears and becomes a major issue, the number of
infections rises day by day, resulting in many deaths around the world. It is imperative
for people to invest in the medical field in terms of efficient vaccines, proper medical
facilities, and adequate medicine for patients. Apparently, should humans be able to
handle immediate problems, they are more likely to pay attention to developing long-
standing solutions.

To sum up, education and other social matters are necessary to improve, yet it seems to
me that governments should invest money to address urgent problems.

1. Trafic problem
Online shopping

Recently, the number of people who purchase various products and services
online is increasing more than ever before. This has certainly affected the business
of shopping centers to a great extent. I personally believe this tendency has both
positive and negative effects, which will be discussed below.

On the one hand, there are some benefits of online shopping. Firstly, it is a
quicker and more convenient way to shop since people can buy products at home
without having to go to stores or shopping malls. Perhaps this is a result of the fact
that many individuals today are too busy to find enough time to go shopping. For
instance, Amazon and eBay are two popular websites that provide a huge number
of different products, and customers can visit those sites and make purchases
easily. As a result, consumers can save time and the costs of traveling. Secondly,
online shopping allows people to have a wider range of choices as they can
compare different brands and products. For instance, buyers can easily compare the
shoes of Converse and Vans, while it is difficult to do that at physical stores.

On the other hand, Online stores recommend certain products over others, while
all websites offer descriptions for each product, it may not always be the best thing
because the descriptions can be either too general or too detailed. Although the
return policy is available, it is quite cumbersome, which makes customers cringe.
Another negative aspect of shopping online is communication dissatisfaction
because consumers miss that face-to-face link, not have an informed person
available to provide an immediate answer, or lack direct checking product's
quality.

In conclusion, online shopping offers greater benefits to customers when

compared to in-store purchasing. Clearly, while it converts shopping into a hassle-
free experience, shopping over the Internet is increasingly convenient, too.
Nevertheless, consumers can choose the way to shop based on their own criteria.

COMPETITION
In the current 4.0 era, developing knowledge and soft skills for students play a
very vital role, because it will help students promote themselves comprehensively.
Since then, the school has launched contests to increase competition and develop
skills in children, while helping to motivate children to strive more. However, it is
argued that doing so puts unnecessary pressure on both teachers and students. To
a large extent, I absolutely agree that a competitive spirit is essential to develop a
young person’s mind and body.
Those who embrace competition as a fact of life believe that a little healthy
competition might actually be good for kids. Aside from preparing them for wins
and losses later in their adult life, competitive activities help kids develop
important skills like resilience, perseverance, and tenacity. What's more, many
coaches may feel that parenting is not just about safety and security, but also about
expanding a child's comfort zone. In other words, it's important for kids to get used
to the frustration that comes from competition. And, more importantly, it helps
them circumvent the desire to quit or give up when things get tough.
However, Competing between students with their friends sometimes causes
confusion. In some cases, students will be peer-pressure, feeling frustrated by
losing in a game. Moreover, it will be destructive of their emotions if it’s
prolonged. Sometimes, teachers will be depressed because they need to spend more
time training their students, which is detrimental to put them under pressure too. In
parallel, Teachers have to be the opposite to their companies to gain the best
achievements. All of them lead to a lot of depression and have an adverse effect on
the mental health of both students and teachers.
To sum up, competitions at school will be suitable and effective for students if it
has a good norm, and tailor the purposes for fitting to students. I believe that a
competitive system is best for children because it gives them the best possible
chance of preparation for life in the real world once they have left school. It also
produces a more independent and self-disciplined adult in the vast majority of
cases.

SCHOOL VIOLENCE
In recent years, school violence is one of the hot topic-debated that people
discuss. Despite the fact that schools are generally meant to be peaceful and safe
environments, there has been an increase in school violence globally.
First of all, there are numerous explanations for violent acts among
schoolchildren. One of them may come down to their psychological deficiencies
when brought up in dysfunctional families. A family environment apparently plays
an important role in fully developing a kid’s brain. For example, adults should not
be allowed to perform any harsh doings, from verbal to physical, in front of the
young which are believed to cause worry, hatred, and resentment in small
children, influencing them to act aggressively when interacting with classmates or
teachers at school. Besides, social media is also to blame for this worrying trend
among teenagers. At this early age, many have yet to develop a sense of right and
wrong, which means overexposure to brutal content on online platforms would
desensitize them to violence in the real world. For instance, watching too many
videos featuring gory fighting scenes on Youtube could easily make a child believe
those acts to be normal occurrences, justifying some students not hesitant to resort
to violence to settle disagreements.
To curb this violence, parents and institutions can take several actions. First, it
should be made sure that there are no social ills or discord in the houses. It is less
likely that youngsters raised in a healthy environment will learn to resolve disputes
violently. Additionally, parents should keep an eye on what their kids are viewing
on social media to reduce the likelihood that they may be exposed to inappropriate
material that encourages violent behavior. Additionally, it is crucial that school
administrators penalize kids who engage in such behavior harshly. This would
discourage both repeat offenders and potential offenders.
To conclude, violence taking place in a school setting can stem from several
reasons, including dysfunctional family dynamics and media consumption, which
call for immediate action from the guardians as well as the schools themselves.
The youth are the future of our society and it is our solemn duty to guide and make
them compassionate human beings

SMART PHONE
Today, smartphones are an indispensable item for every person in modern life.
Along with development, even children have access to them at an early age. The
benefits that smartphones bring to people are undeniable. But besides, the access
and use of smartphones too early in children also brings bad effects on health as
well as school performance. This essay will show the bad sides of smartphones as
well as some solutions.
The first will be the adverse health effects. It is easy to see that the first thing
affected is the eyes. According to many reports, the percentage of children who are
still very young but have eye diseases such as myopia, astigmatism, etc. is
increasing alarmingly. And the main cause is using too many technological devices
such as TVs, smartphones, tablets, ... for a long time. In addition, not giving the
eyes enough time to rest leads to the above diseases. Besides, the fact that children
are engrossed in using smartphones to play games and watch videos will gradually
make children tend to be lazy and do not want to participate in outdoor sports
activities. This is very worrisome for the health of young children, because they are
at the age of development, if they are inactive, their health will decline and become
weak. Worse is the effect on learning, many cases of children because they are so
immersed in video games that they neglect their studies, their grades go down day
by day, but they are still absorbed in playing games without paying attention the
consequences behind it.
So how to get children out of this situation is a question that is of great interest to
parents. According to many experts, parents should set limits on the time they use
electronic devices so that their children have enough time to rest their eyes.
Encourage children to go out to participate in outdoor sports activities to improve
their health as well as to be able to communicate and have fun with friends.
To sum up everything that mentioned above, smartphones are a useful tool for
people today, but their use, especially for children, requires smart supervision and
management from parents in order to avoid the unfortunate consequences they can
bring.
