1. SCOPE OF WORK: The work consists of supply and stacking of the following items:
2.1 Contractor/Supplier will obtain the location for stacking from OC RCC, if not
specified in the Terms and Condition of the GeM Contract. The materials supplied by
the Contractor shall be stacked at his own cost on a level ground at HQ 15 BRTF
location as per quantities given in Para-1 above.
2.3 Quantities given in the bid documents are net quantities after deduction of
voids. The Contractor shall supply the corresponding gross quantities, considering
the percentage voids and payment shall be made for the net quantities. Rates
quoted by the Contractor shall be for the net quantities.
2.4 However, if the rate of river sand is quoted as per unit weight (i.e. Kg, MT etc.)
then weight of river sand for payment to the contractor shall be calculated
considering the density of sand as 1700 kg/cum. Payment will be made by
measuring volume of stack in cum and voids will be deducted (as given in Para-1
above) from the stack measurement to arrive at the net quantity to be paid for.
3. RUBBLE STONE:
3.1 GENERAL:

*Grading requirement for 10 mm nominal size aggregate shall be as per IS
383 (2016).
4.2.2 For 45 mm nominal size of aggregate, all aggregates shall pass
through 53 mm sieve and wholly retained on 26.5 mm sieve as per Table 500-
49 of MoRTH Specifications of Road and Bridges Works (5th Revision).
4.3 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
Physical requirements of stone metal and stone chips shall be as per IS 383-
2016.

coating and other deleterious substances. They shall not contain dust, lumps,
soft or flaky materials, mica or other deleterious materials in such quantities as
to reduce the strength and durability of the structure, or to attack the
embedded steel. Mechanised sand washing machines should be used to
remove impurities from sand. Fine aggregates having positive alkali-silica
reaction shall not be supplied.
5.2 GRADING REQUIREMENT:
The river sand shall conform to the grading for Zone-II as per Table 1000-2 of
MoRTH Specifications of Road and Bridge Works (5th Rev).
Table: 1000-2: GRADING REQUIREMENT FOR FINE AGGREGATES

Note: When the grading falls outside the limits of any particular grading zone
of sieves other than 600-micron IS Sieve by a total amount not exceeding 5
percent, it shall be regarded as falling within the grading zone. However for
crushed stone sand, the permissible limit on 150-micron IS Sieve is increased
to 20 percent. Reference shall be made to Clause: 4.3 of IS: 383.
6. MATERIAL TESTING:
