1. PLANT AND ANIMAL CELLS
A cell is the basic unit of life in plants and animals. It is the building block of living
matter. Some examples of animal cells include sperm cells, muscle cells, red blood cells
and white blood cells while examples of plant cells include root hair cells, palisade cells
and guard cells.
STRUCTURE OF A CELL
There are two main types of cells. These are animal and plant cells. The basic structures
of the two cells are the same, except for the slight differences. Below are the basic
structures of animal and plant cells:
