1. Describe an invention that you think is useful to humans.

You should say:

 What it was;
 When it was invented;
 And explain why it is useful to humans.
I think the most useful invention to human is mobile phone especially
smartphone. To my knowledge, the first smart phone was invented in 1993 named
Simon. I think because it portable and convenient It provides humans many
function like taking photos, making a video call, GPS navigation and so on... these
days, people can also access to the internet on their phone to look up new
information or connect to their friends through a social media application. Ex: i
often use my smart phone to learn English or looking up new English vocab.
Overall i think smart phone can be a assistant of human in many fields in the
future.

2. Imagine you are planning to take a space holiday on Mars. Talk about it.

You should say:

1. When and with whom you are going;
2. What personal possessions you are going to take;
3. And how you feel about this trip.

If I had the chance to take a space holiday on Mars, it would be the

most exciting and unforgettable experience of my life. I imagine that
the holiday will last 3 days and i will stay in a cutting edge spacecraft
I will also bring camera to take picture of many planets in the solar
system, a daily note to keep every memorable moment. And last but
not least, i will also bring foods and beverage to maintain live.
 To sum up, I think the trip will be perfect if my friends and my family
can accompany me.

3. Describe a retired person that you know well.

You should say:

1. Who she/he is;
2. How she/he spends his/her time;
3. And how her/his life has changed since being retired.

My aunt is an example. She is 50 years old and she has 2 daughters. She has retired
for nearly 2 years. I sometime visit her family and i see that, after deciding to
retire, she spend most of time take care of her family and travelling more.
Compare to several years ago, she was quite busy at work and she even didn’t have
enough time to look after her children. But now, she totally get rid of work,
deadline.., she have a lot of free time to enjoy every moment with her family.i
realize that her life has changed much, she becomes more positive , easy going and
happier.
4.Talk about your personal future plan

You should say:

1. What it is about;
2. What you are planning to do;
3. And whether it is feasible or not.

Honestly, I'm an introvert who is afraid of interacting with other people. I

spend most of time studying at university, and when i have free time i often surf
the internet or watching a movie. Therefore, i decided to set make a future plan
 to change myself. I want to travel everywhere to improve my social skill as
travelling will give a chance to broaden my network. Especially, i can step out
of my zone to learn and deal with everything. To make the plan come true,
firstly, i should improve my language skill so that i can confidently interact
with every people. Secondly, i will engage in many outdoors activities at
university to strengthen my communication skill. With time and effort, this plan
could absolutely work.

5.Compare your life now and your life five years ago
You should say about the differences between:
- Appearances;
- Personalities;
- Day-to-day life.

To be honest, me in 5 years ago was terrible. You know, that time, i had a lot of
difficulties during puberty. I was craving for fast food, sweets,.. so my face is full
of pimples, my body was fat. Furthermore, i was quite stubborn for example: i was
easy to feel stress or easy to get grumpy. Moreover, i had many bad habits like
staying up late or using much social media. But now, my life has changed much. I
have a good shape thanks to playing sport. My face is less pimples than before and
the best thing is that i feel less stress and i becomes more easy going.

6. Describe the person you are closest to in your family

You should say:
- who he/she is;
- what personalities and appearances he/she has;
- and explain why you are closest to him/her.
The person that I'm closet in my family is always my mom. She is now 47 years
old. She is tall combine with a good shape. I especially love her long black hair
which accentuate her beauty. My mother is quite easy going, she is the one that i
can rely on whenever i feel bad or when i get in a trouble. She always willing to
give me advice and listen to me sympathetically. For example, when I have
difficulty in making a decision, she will give me some advice and support me. To
me she is the warmest woman in the world.

7. Describe your favorite soap opera on TV

You should say:
- What its name is;
- What it is about;
- And explain why you like it

One of my favorite soap operas is "Về Nhà Đi Con" (Come Home, My Dear), a
popular Vietnamese TV series. It tells the story of a widowed father and his three
daughters, focusing on family life, love, and the challenges they face in modern
society. The main characters are Mr. Son, the caring and understanding father, and
his daughters: Anh Thu, Hue, and Dung. Each daughter has her own personality
and problems, which makes the story interesting and emotional.

I really like this soap opera because it is touching and realistic. It shows the
importance of family love and how people grow through difficult times.

8. Talk about a holiday that you’re planning to take

You should say:
 Where you’re going to do;
 How long you’re staying there;
  What you are doing there.

I’m planning to take a holiday in Nha Trang city with my family this summer. The
holiday will last 3 days, and i plan to stay in a home-stay near a small fishing
village instead of a hotel because i want to escape from the hustle and bustle of
the city. On the first day, we will visit some tourist attraction like Tram Hương
tower, Institute of Oceanography,... The next day, we will doing some outdoors
activities like swimming, snorkeling,.. And the last day, we will sit on the beach,
immerse my self in the nature and look at the sunset. I believe that it will be a
perfect holiday after working hard.
9. Describe a hotel that you have stayed in
You should say:

- What facilities it has;

- What you can do near the hotel;
- What you think about it.

Last summer vacation, my family decided to visit NT city and we stayed

in a 5 star hotel located in the city center. I was quite surprised because hotel
was design in European architecture style. We book a single room and a couple
room. My room was quite comfortable with many modern interior inside. There
are a television, an air conditioner, and a balcony with a view of sea. Near the
hotel, there are many well know restaurant that we can enjoy a delicious meals.
My family spent of time going sightseeing and visiting many tourist site in the
city,so it was great that we turn back to the hotel and lie on a comfortable bed.
That hotel was the best option for us when going on a vacation.
10. Talk about a holiday that you had a bad experience
You should say:

- When you went;

- What happened;
 - - Why it was a bad experience.
Last summer vacation, my family decided to visit NT city, and we booked 2 room
in a 5 star hotel which is located near a beach and we also paid in advance. I
expected that my family would have a good experience there.Unfortunately, when
we came to check in, the receptionist said that there wasn’t any available room for
us. We were quite nervous, my dad requested them to refund the whole money but
they said that it would take us at least 2 month to receive the money. It really drove
us insane. We decided to book another hotel but the cost is too high because of the
peak season. The service there is poor. This problem caused us unhappy so we
weren’t in mood to visit the whole city. That such a terrible vacation i have ever
had.

11. Describe your house

You should say:
- What type of housing it is;
- What facilities it has;
- And whether you like your house

I live in a small but cozy house in Cam Ranh city . It’s a single storey house with
2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathrooms. The exterior is painted
light blue, and there’s a small garden in front where my mother grows flowers and
a few vegetables.

Inside, the house is filled with simple interior, but it feels warm and welcoming.
My favorite room is the living room because it’s where we spend the most time
together. There’s a comfortable sofa, a TV, and a bookshelf with many kind of
books

What I like most about my house is that it’s peaceful and full of natural light. Even
though it’s not luxurious, it’s the place that i always want to return.

12. Talk about the last time you had a meal with friends
You should say:

- What you had for a starter, main courses and a dessert;
- How you felt about it.

Last weekend my friend invited me to her birthday party. There was small party at
home with 4 people and they’re all my friends. Katina is the hostess. Well when i
came there, she prepared a lot of foods and beverage. We had hot soup for the
starter. I have to say that the soup was so delicious that i couldn't stand having the
second helping. Next, we have grilled chicken for the main-course. The chicken is
tender and juicy inside but crispy outside,combine with fresh vegetable. We ended
the party with fruit juice and ice cream. I was so pleased about the foods. But what
make me forgettable is the moment we having meal , sharing story and having fun
together.

13. Describe a city that you know well

- And whether you like it.

I would talk a bout my hometown,Cam Ranh city.

Cam Ranh is a coastal city located in Khánh Hòa Province. Although it is smaller
and less well-known than nearby Nha Trang, Cam Ranh is famous for its natural
beauty, especially its pristine beaches and clear blue sea.

One of the most popular places in Cam Ranh is Bãi Dài (Long Beach), which
attracted many tourists every years. Cam Ranh is also home to Cam Ranh
International Airport, which serves both domestic and international flights,
making it a convenient entry point for travelers.

When visit Cam Ranh city, visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and other local cuisine,
explore some fishing villages, or take boat trips to nearby islands. The weather is
warm and sunny most of the year, which is perfect for outdoor activities.

Cam ranh is a place that meant a lot to me. I remember when i was a child, my
family often go swimming at Bãi Dài beach.

I think, Cam Ranh is a great destination for those who want to go on a vacation.
14. Talk about a problem that you face everyday
You should say:
- What it is about;
- What troubles it causes you;
- And what you do to overcome it.
I live in a big city, and one of the problem that i face everyday is that traffic
congestion. Traffic in HCM city is terrible, everyday, it takes me 30 minutes or
more to get to university. What makes me dislike the most is the blaring car horn
which really drives me insane every morning. Additionally, I'm quite impatient to
wait for the traffic light, sometimes, i go to university late because of it. To address
this problem, i moved to a new flat near my university, and i also try to get up
early to go to university on time.
15. Describe an annoying neighbour
You should say:

- Why you think she/he is annoying;
- And what you do to reduce her/his annoyance.
I would talk about ms Hoa who just moved to live near my house 2 moths ago.
Since she move to next doors, everything becomes worse. She has conflict with her
husband every night, so i can sleep well. Day by day, when i get home from
school, i just want to take a nap but i can because of the argument at her house. I
tried to speak to her in a calm and gentle way but she didn’t care. Therefore, i have
to put a soundproof panel in my room so that I don’t feel bothered while sleeping.
Things have been getting better recently.
