1. Not to alter or temper with the index of any meter or other instrument used on or in connection with any installation for recording

the output or consumption of electricity.

2. Not to fraudulently abstract, consume or use electricity contrary to the manner agreed herein. Errors resulting from tempering of

meters will be regarded as fraud and may result in prosecution in addition to penalty charges.

3. To install power stabilizer device(s) for the purpose of safeguarding the sensitive appliances of the capacity which is equivalent to

the actual consumption of power at his/her premises.

4. To install residual currency device (RCD) so as to protect against earth leakage. Also to install Circuit Breaker to protect against

short circuit or over current.

5. To install any other additional device(s) to protect the home electrical appliances against over current or short circuit.

6. Not to convert the uses of electricity to other uses contrary to use that is specified in the application and agreement form.

7. To strictly maintain the power factor of 0.95 for lighting and 0.9 power factor for other loads. That a factor of 2.9 will be multiplied

to the consumed energy as a surcharge against poor power factor whenever the billing power factor fall below 0.9

8. Any person who moves into a premise where TANESCO is providing supply should report to TANESCO offices within hours to

regularize the contract, failure to do that, will result in supply be disconnected and legal proceedings instituted

9. Any customer who intends to move out of a premise where TANESCO is providing supply should report to TANESCO offices

within 48 hours to cancel the existing contract. Failure to do so will result in the customer assuming all charge that may be

calculated after the vacation of premises.

10. Without prejudice to the generality of the above to comply in all respects with the provisions of any statutes and any other

obligations imposed by law or by any by-law applicable on electricity supply within Tanzania mainland.

11. The customer accepts the responsibility for the safe keeping of TANESCO's properties installed on the customer's premises,

especially the integrity of the meter and the associated seals, the breach of which will amount to statutory penalties and payment

of associated costs.

12. TANESCO reserve the rights to disconnect a customer in the event of any breach of these conditions

AGREEMENT
I the undersigned occupant of the above premise(s) have read, understood and accepted all conditions of power supply including

the above and hereby undertake with the company to take a supply of electricity at the above premise(s) in accordance with the

company's general conditions of supply for the purpose detailed above and agree to pay for such supply at the company's

standard rates in force from time to time.
