A. Objectives
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 Use the words and phrases related to the topic “Family and Friends”
 Ask and answer the question correctly.

- Check student’s homework.
1 Warm – up

Review - Game: Ring the bell

2 + Show flashcard and ask questions

+ Ss ring the bell to take turn to answer the


question. If their answer is correct, they get points
for their team.

- Revise possessive pronouns by asking questions


to children around the class. Ask What’s my/
your/ his/ her name? Encourage children around
the class to answer using full sentences ( Your/
My/ His/ Her name is….)
- Say “So, today we are going to continue with
FAMILY and FRIENDS - lesson 2.”

3 Starting the lesson You will need your student’s book at first. Have
you got them already?

I. Story and writing on page

1. Listen and read. Then act.

- Ask children to open their books on page 18.-


Ask children to look at the pictures in the story.
Ask What is this? Who is this? about each picture.

- Play the audio for the children to listen and


repeat.

- Play the recording again, pausing after each line


4 for the children to listen and repeat, first chorally,
then individually.

LESSON 2 - Divide the class into pairs and allow the children
time to practice acting out the story.

- Invite pairs of children to act out the story for


the class.
2. Ask and answer about Lucy.

- Read out the grammar character’s speech


bubbles.

- Act out the dialogue with a couple of children,


then allow the children to practice the dialogue in
pairs.

- Invite pairs of children to act out the dialogue


for the class.

- Practise asking and answering about this kind of


information with your class.

GRAMMAR:

- What + be + your/ his/ her + name?

 My/ His/ Her name is……

- How many … have/ has + S(you, she, name)+got?

 I’ve/ She’s/ He’s got…….

-T shows class the gapped sentences and explain


they need to complete each gap with a number of
a name.

3. Listening track 12 on page 19 Student’s book.

- T shows the class the gapped sentences and


explains that they need to complete each gap with
a number or a name.

- Before you play the track, tell the children that


they will usually hear the numbers mentioned
twice and that the names will always be spelt out
for them.

- Tell the children that they will hear the


recording twice. They should try to write all the
answers when they listen for the first time.

- Play the track twice for children to listen. Move


around the class as the children completes the
activity. Help if necessary.

- Ask children to say the completed sentences.

II. Reading and Speaking.

1. Look and read.

- T points to the pictures of Nick and Ann, then


point to the picture of the grammar characters and
read out the speech bubbles.

- Remind the children that we use This to talk


about people or things which are close to us and
That to talk about ppl or things which are far
away.

-Act out the dialogue with a couple of children,


then allow the children to practice the dialogue in
pairs.

- Invite pairs of children to act out the dialogue


for the class.

2. Look at the pictures and circle the words.

- Teacher shows the pictures on the board or on


the screen.

- Tell children to choose the correct word from


the box below each one.

- Allow the children time to complete the activity


in their books. Move around the class as children
work and help if necessary.

- Check answer by inviting children to point to


the pictures and say the correct words.

- You may wish to model the correct


pronunciation.

3. Draw pictures of two of your friends. Talk


about your pictures.

- Point to the pic and read out the speech bubble.

- Ask the children to say who is close to us in the


picture (Tony), and who is far away (Jill)

- Hand out a sheet of paper to each a child and tell


the children to draw a pic of two of their friends.

- Tell the children to think about how old their


friends are….

- Practice:
7 Wrap- up
- Left click or tap anywhere to load the welcome
screen.

- Select the play button on the center right of the


welcome screen to begin.

- Below the play button are the following items:

- The sound button, to the left, lets you turn the


game’s audio on and off.

- The instructions button shares the basic rules of


the game.

- On the top right corner is the expand button. use


this to switch between windowed and full screen
modes.

- Choose the correct answer on the slide.
