Introduction
The following lists positions of planets and points in your natal chart with interpretations for key factors.
1/12
Sun in Taurus 14° 24' 44"
The Sun in the chart shows our character, personal identity, and ego. It represents our will to live and our creative life force. Just as the
planets revolve around the Sun in our solar system, we derive our life purpose from the Sun in our natal charts. The Sun is our “adult”–
the part of us that censors our “inner child,” reasons things out, and makes final decisions. The Sun also gives clues to our overall vitality.
The Sun directs us and can be considered “the boss” of our chart.
When people ask you "What's your sign?", Taurus would be your answer. Technically, though, it's your Sun sign that is Taurus.
Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, and with Taurus as your Sun sign, there is something substantial and solid about you, no matter
what the rest of your chart says about you. Though you are dependable most of the time, this shows itself more in habit than in outright
helpfulness. Taurus natives are sensual folk–-and this includes sex but extends to pleasures in all areas: they delight in the sensual
pleasures of food, a comfortable blanket, a richly colored aquarium to look at, the smell of flowers or spring rain, pleasing melodies
coming from their stereos, and so forth. Some might even say they live through their senses more than most.
When you work, you work hard. You do it with a steadiness that may rarely be considered quick–rather, it’s a dependable, plodding, and
steady effort that has its payoffs. Security is immensely important to you–some Taureans actively seek wealth, while others are content to
be “comfortable.” The Taurus definition of “comfortable” may not be exactly the same as the rest of the signs, but comfort is a driving
force.
Although hard-working, your fixed and comfort-loving nature sometimes makes you appear lazy. This is only because you separate work
and leisure so expertly. When you work, you work hard, and when you play, you don’t actually “play” as such…you relax. A Solar Taurus
who has kicked their feet up is rooted there–others would be hard-pressed to get you to move. On a mental level, people around you
likely have the same problem. Taureans stick with things and ideas, and therein lies one of the reasons why they are known for their
stubbornness. Taurus is a Fixed sign, and with your Taurus Sun, there is a fair measure of tradition and steadiness in your makeup that
keeps you rooted.
The possessiveness associated with Taurus shows up in all areas of life in some way. Taurus likes to own things (and sometimes people,
in a sense). A nice home, a piece of land (this can be modest), a paid-off car, that aquarium mentioned earlier, a couple of pets, maybe a
stable business…In love and relationship, there is an earthy kind of possessiveness that may be considered jealousy by some, but there
is actually quite a difference between being possessive and being jealous. Taurus natives are rarely jealous and petty. You may, however,
think of the people you love as yours–it adds to your sense of security.
You feel accomplished when you build something solid that endures over time. While you can be slow to start, once you gain momentum,
your strength and vitality become evident. Your memory is retentive. You'd rather that instructions are demonstrated to you than
verbalized. You are nature-loving and feel comfortable with earthy activities. While you are generally reliable and consistent, watch for a
tendency to stick with something that no longer serves you well.
Your Sun sign is modified by various factors, including the aspects it makes to other planets and points, its house position, the house with
the sign the Sun rules (Leo) on its cusp, and your Venus sign since Venus is Taurus' planetary ruler. These positions add more layers to
the Sun in Taurus interpretation. Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign. More on Taurus.
The Ascendant defines, in part, the first impression we make on others in a personal rather than professional sense. It represents our
physical appearance, our physical bodies and overall health, and the body ego. It can be the mask or costume we wear to greet the world.
It reveals our natural and personal defense mechanisms that we use to adapt to - and cope with - our environment. The Ascendant also
shows our first impressions of the world around us and our expectations of same –whether we are naturally hesitant or enthusiastic, for
example. How we begin new projects and our attitude towards new experiences come under the rule of the Ascendant.
With a Cancer Ascendant, you likely come across as a gentle creature. There's something familiar about you — at least you appear to be
the guy or gal next door. When you enter a room, you don’t walk in with a big splash. Instead, you move to the sides and weave your way
inwards. People you haven't met might often see you as familiar. Because you are rather sensitive to your environment, you can get
flustered easily, especially in public.
You wear your feelings on your face! Sometimes, people will read your expressions as emotions you're not even feeling at the moment.
Very much does depend on your mood, which is quite variable. You can be extraordinarily helpful and kind, but quite miserable when
you're down. You tend to withdraw and self-nurture during these times. Even so, you're very likable and have a sincere, warm personality.
You are extremely sensitive to the emotional environment and atmosphere around you. Surround yourself with supportive people, but do
try to step outside of your comfort zone from time to time so that you learn that you can do so with good results. Confidence builds slowly
but surely this way. Sometimes, you put on a tough exterior so that you're not taken advantage of or taken for granted. Unfortunately,
there are people who will take advantage of your kindness, but building a wall can block out the respectful people, too!
When you were a child, you may have been labeled the sensitive, emotional, or moody one. For some people with this Ascendant, there
was extra coddling in their childhood, which can affect adult life, too. Safety and security are driving forces, and your need for these things
plays a significant role in your reaction to new experiences. You approach new situations and people with some level of caution. You
definitely come around once you feel safe, but playing it safe can sometimes limit your experiences.
You can have a wonderful sense of humor and your observations are real treasures. You see the world in a unique and beautiful way, and
people love it when you share your point of view. When you're happy and engaged, you might often be described as warm, funny, and
sweet.
2/12
The Moon has a stronger influence in your chart than most. Look to the Moon's condition and placement by sign, house, and aspect for
further refinements of the personality you project to others, your defense mechanisms, and the ways you approach the world around you.
Your first instinct, when threatened or on unfamiliar ground, is to protect yourself! When new situations present themselves, your first
instinct may be to withdraw immediately. You may very well come across as shy, but more often than not, caring. You seem quite sweet —
even innocent. You appear unassuming enough to be quite approachable. Some Cancer Ascendants, however, have retreated into
themselves so much as to be quite the opposite. Most are delightfully loyal and genuinely kind-hearted.
Since Capricorn is the sign on the Descendant, Cancer Ascendant people are looking for structure and security in their partner and their
relationship. You might function best when your partner displays strength, financial and emotional stability, and know-how. In fact, you
may very well prefer it when a relationship has clear rules. Security is the primary need, and you are more than willing to give up some
personal freedom to get it. In some cases, Cancer Ascendant people can surprise their partners. Why? Because they come across as
rather unassuming, family-oriented people. When it comes to partnership, they have a rather matter-of-fact, practical approach. More on
Cancer Rising.
The Moon in the signs reveals much about our habits, reactions, and instincts. It shows how we express and deal with our emotions.
Most obvious in our homes or in private, our Moon sign reveals our innermost needs. The Moon can represent our experience of
nurturing; it also shows how we nurture ourselves! It's important to note that Moon signs change every 2 or 2-1/2 days, and on some
days, can be one of two signs, in which case an accurate birth time is necessary.
You have the Moon in the sign of Taurus in your natal chart, and familiarity is vital to Lunar Taureans. You are earthy and strong-willed.
You feel with your senses, and you are pretty much rooted in your ways. You may very well revel in material comforts–in fact, building a
stable and comfortable home and foundation helps to keep you feeling safe and content.
It isn’t wise to try to push you into doing anything, as you tend to dig in your heels if you're rushed or dominated, but once you've
committed, you're remarkably persevering.
There's a steadiness to this position of the Moon that is comforting to people close to you. But there is also a conservative streak in you
that can be maddening to more progressive personalities. You tend to go out of your way to avoid messy or unpredictable situations,
crises, and emotional displays. You'd rather focus on creating a reliable and secure life around you. In relationships, Lunar Taureans such
as you may not easily recognize their partner's need for change, growth, or emotional stimulation. Staying on top of this tendency is
essential.
Moon in Taurus natives are usually very romantic, although not typically in a flowery way. Instead, their affections are strong, deep, and
unwavering, and they are sentimental and warm. Since Taurus is a practical Earth sign, the placement of the Moon in this sign suggests
an ability to protect themselves and their own interests. They will rarely make a move without first determining that it is safe and that
there's something in it for them! With your Moon in Taurus, you have a strong need for predictability in your home and family life, even if
other aspects of your personality prompt you to seek out excitement in various other life departments.
Generally, you have reliable instincts. You can be very much tied to the physical world, and you're likely to have a particularly well-
developed sense of smell. Sensual but simple pleasures delight you tremendously. In this way, you are wonderfully straightforward and
easy to please.
Relationships for you are often quite enduring. Many Moon in Taurus people hang onto their mates longer than most, even in the face of
severe conflict. Taurus is a fixed sign, so break-ups don't happen easily.
There is a serenity to you that others can find very calming. In fact, it takes a lot to really get to you. However, you do get off-center every
once in a while. You are not the most adaptable of people when your own routine is interrupted, for example.
Many Lunar Taureans have a stubborn streak that keeps them rather resistant to change. Rarely are you a spontaneous sort unless there
are many other factors in your chart pointing in that direction. Uncomfortable with surprises, you value stability. Your needs are robust but
quite simple at the same time – you love the “good things” in life. The world of the five senses is all-important to you. Your love of stability
and steadiness can make you somewhat of a slave to routine at times. However, you are loyal and capable, and this kind of stick-to-it
energy is wonderful.
What's your style of communication? How do you make decisions? How do you pick up, process, absorb, and exchange information?
These questions are answered, in part, by Mercury's placement by sign in your natal chart. Someone may be an assertive Aries, but they
could also have Mercury in Taurus, with a style of communication that's slower, patient, and not quite as spirited as one would expect from
an Aries, as an example. Mercury refines the Sun sign, and it helps to define how we take in--and give out--information.
With Mercury in the sign of Gemini in your birth chart, you are quick-witted. You may come across as scattered at times, but this is most
likely to do with your many eclectic interests. You may hop from one interesting tidbit to the next. You seem to know a little about
everything!
People can safely turn to you for a large assortment of facts and figures as well as broad knowledge. Your learning may be a little
superficial -- you generally have too many interests to delve too deeply into any particular one (unless Mercury is in strong contact with
Saturn or Pluto).
3/12
You learn best in a stimulating environment. You get bored easily, but you're a fast learner. Impressionable to a fault, you pick up more
from your environment than most, and you process information at lightning speed! The restlessness of Gemini is especially apparent
when Mercury is placed in the sign. There is a nervous energy here that is unmistakable.
Although Gemini is a rather open-minded sign, there is often a bias towards logic. Unless Mercury forms a strong aspect to the Moon in
your birth chart, you're not inclined to rely heavily on intuition, nor do you take into account the world of emotion in your decision-making
processes. In this sense, you can come across as a little too intellectual or just plain logical. The lack of heart behind what you say and
think can be frustrating to more personal communicators. You can separate your emotions and your communications, and those who can't
may believe you are indifferent or insensitive.
Although you are an interested and interesting speaker, you can also be quite detached, easily discarding or ignoring more personal
issues. You don't get attached to your opinions and ideas for too long, and the result is a changeability and coolness that can be
frustrating to some. On the other hand, your curiosity and willingness to adapt to the environment around you often endears you to others.
Because you have a versatile mind, others appreciate that you're not rigid and stubborn.
Mercury in Gemini natives can be smooth talkers, even a little deceptive, although this is generally not with cruel intent. It's done, usually,
with a sense of humor. In fact, it's more of a mental exercise than anything. You can quickly spot human weaknesses and then play
around with them. You're full of stories, and you're not against adding some embellishments to keep your audience amused and intrigued.
Decision-making is generally done quickly and expertly. You have fun with words, you're good on the phone, and you make an engaging
speaker (unless Saturn strongly connects with Mercury and you're less inclined to communicate spontaneously). You communicate with a
strong sense of fun, and you can communicate with people from all walks of life with equal ease.
You have an enviable presence of mind, and you often impress others with your wit. You're certainly never boring!
How do you attract things, situations, and people into your life? Venus rules our sentiments, what we value, and the pleasure we take in
life. Grace, charm, and beauty are all ruled by Venus. Through Venus, we learn about our tastes, preferences, artistic inclinations, and
what makes us happy. We look to Venus in the natal chart to see how we approach relationships of the heart, as well as what gives us
pleasure. We also turn to Venus to show how we spend our money, the types of gifts we buy, and how much we spend on leisure
activities (not to mention the kinds of leisure activities we seek). Venus rules attractiveness--both the ability to attract and attraction to
others (and things). Venus rules, amongst other things, the arts, love and romance, beauty and the beautifying process, money,
entertainment, leisure, sensuality, and comfort.
With your Venus in Taurus, love centers on the physical world and creature comforts -- you revel in sensual surroundings. You're likely to
project yourself as solid and comfortable. In fact, something about your manner promises you'll be a satisfying lover and partner. You
need a certain measure of predictability and dependability in your relationships, even if your Sun isn't Taurus and is instead in the more
spontaneous signs of Aries or Gemini.
You can be possessive in love, and you're threatened by fast-paced, high-energy situations in the context of relationships and love. You're
a sensual partner who requires lots of hands-on expressions of love. Your lovers may complain that you can get a little too comfortable
and settled. It's true that you resist change in your relationships, but even when you seem stuck in a groove, you're constant - a rare trait.
Pleasing you involves emphasizing loyalty and worth. Others may need to give in to you more often than not in love matters since you can
be quite stubborn! You like it when a partner is physical with you and does comfortable things. You don't want to be pushed in love -- you
need a lot of time. Your partners may need to cultivate patience. You appreciate a partner who is simple and natural and you respond
most to those who promise you a comfortable, cozy time.
Venus in Taurus Personal Ad Bio: "I am dependable. My ideal date consists of good food, fine wine, and cuddling up with each other at
home."
You're a very physical lover with a great appreciation for scents, sounds, feels, and pleasing form. You can be very patient in love. Your
charm is natural and earthy. You believe that actions speak louder than words and are not as easily charmed by sweet talkers as most
people. You can be unflagging in love, and you don't quickly get over betrayal.
You can be possessive in love and with possessions and things, too. You're attracted to products of high quality and durability. You're
generally good with your money, spending lavishly only on objects of beauty, long-lasting objects, and food. Venus in Taurus is not usually
especially generous people and are typically quite practical and patient when it comes to saving and spending money. Harmony and
peace are essential characteristics of the art and music that draws you in. You dislike gaudy, cheap, tacky, or excessively loud/bold art,
clothing, and possessions.
With Mars in Cancer, you are moved to action through your emotions and moods, and you can seem quite moody to others as a result.
When happy, you act with high confidence, and when tense, you can be entirely withdrawn. You rarely confront or initiate a fight, although
you are undoubtedly capable of instigating conflict.
You can be very warm and protective, having an almost therapeutic, healing manner about you. The protective nature of Cancer is best
expressed when you turn the energy outward -- when you are the protector of others. Turning it inwards is when there can be some
issues. You should watch for over-sensitivity and self-protection if it limits your life. Otherwise, your great sensitivity is a real strength.
4/12
This position may incline you toward passive-aggressiveness. You seem to resist change and shy away from direct confrontations. This is
because you need to feel secure before you act, and as a result, you can be rather slow to react. You live out the expression "The best
offense is defense." Because you're kind and compassionate, others may be surprised by your shows of strength, although they shouldn't
be! One of your most exceptional qualities is your tenaciousness.
You may feel somewhat threatened or bothered by indifference, and when frustrated, many people with this placement in their charts can
be irritable or manipulative. Your energy levels are likely to be quite variable. You can rather quickly become defensive or emotional bursts
can come on suddenly, often well after the incident in question! There can be some challenges venting your frustrations with Mars in
Cancer, as they can come out erratically. Stomach upsets are real and often brought on by worry. The tendency to dwell runs high. With
more continuity, routine, and discipline, you are likely to be at your happiest and strongest.
You exude a calm strength that's very attractive and soothing. You are instinctively self-protective and cautious. This is a good position for
chefs, domestic engineers, caregivers, carpenters, and builders, among other things.
With reassurance and confidence, you are extraordinarily protective, helpful, and in the long haul, dependable. You prefer to handle
situations peacefully and humanely. You care deeply for who and what you love, and you're not afraid to fight back against injustice,
authority, or tradition. You can be bold and fearless when needed! With Mars in Cancer, you are sensuous and warm. You'll go to bat for
anyone you love or who you consider to be family.
With Jupiter in Capricorn, you attract the best fortune when you organize and direct, conduct yourself with integrity, are ethical, and
display maturity. You need to take a disciplined, committed, step-by-step approach to realizing your goals.
You value the long term, achievement, responsibility, and manifestation. You succeed through resourcefulness and steering clear of
activities that waste time, energy, or resources. You are good at streamlining. Position or status may be more important to you than many.
As an Earth sign Jupiter, you are a practical realist who needs to visualize results to feel motivated to achieve them. You are a “doer” who
is not easily lured by get-rich-quick schemes! You are not very much of a risk taker. You need direction, clear goals, and definite plans,
and you value tangible results.
Saturn in our charts shows us where we limit ourselves due to fear or insecurity. With your Saturn in Virgo, you may feel limited or
weighed down by work, routine, service, and attention to detail. You may feel overburdened or often left to your own resources, taking on
more work than is fair. Finding the meaning or joy in your work, routines, and service is something to strive toward.
You have an excellent eye for details, but you sometimes get lost in them, unsure of your ability to piece everything together. Or, you
might leave things unfinished because of a very strong perfectionist streak. If you don't finish it, there is no risk of it being less than
perfect! Fear of criticism or of making mistakes can severely limit your opportunities, whether to take on new endeavors or to finish the
ones you started. Chances run high that the standards you've set for yourself are too strict. Watch, too, for a tendency to convince
yourself that you just don't care to get things right, precise, or accurate since this means avoiding the problem. In all likelihood, deep
down, you care too much. Tackling the root of the problem with self-honesty can help you to do less fretting and more living. Digestive
problems are often associated with this placement.
You're interested in making changes, innovating, and updating traditions related to spirituality, compassion, religion, the arts, attitudes
toward mental health, and understanding. You seek more freedom in or through these areas, and you don't feel the need to conform or
follow the rules to the letter--you're ready to rebel if needed. You can feel compelled to reak through some of the inhibitions or taboos
related to mental and emotional health, non-material values, service, devotion, and compassion. Despite the need for progress, you can
be very stubborn in your ways in these areas. You believe in revolutionizing our attention to the non-material plane. Your art, lifestyle, and
tastes are on the unique, original, nuanced, and layered side. This is a highly intuitive placement.
Your vision of an ideal world may center around humanitarianism, celebrating individuality, freedom, and impartiality. You’re invested in
humanitarian ideals, and you have a keen interest in electronics, psychology, and social science. When it comes down to it, you prefer to
put your faith in humanity, and you’re generally open-minded regarding different philosophical or religious beliefs. Most important to you is
for each person to stand out as uniquely individual. This Neptune sign position is more idealistic and theoretical than most others.
The quest to distinguish yourself through your responsibilities is a powerful one. In fact, you may put undue pressure on yourself to
achieve your goals. Reforming and improving business, government, commerce, society, and other practical affairs can be critical to you.
Watch that you don't deny yourself youthful play and abandon since the tendency is real that you've had to grow up or mature too quickly.
Curb tendencies to cynicism. While you see many areas that need fixing, you prefer to approach things critically and carefully rather than
radically. Stirring controversy, in your opinion, doesn't help you get to your goals as efficiently as a determined and organized approach. If
Pluto is strong in your chart, you're wise and capable of a great understanding of systems and structures. You're likely to love order but
despise heavy-handed rule. Impermanency can both haunt and drive you, and you can go to great lengths to conserve your resources.
Keeping these things moderate and healthy is a challenge but most rewarding.
5/12
Chiron in Aquarius 20° 54' 54"
You believe in people and the power of the group. You're a true humanitarian who champions individuality. You are fantastic at
encouraging others to march to the beat of their own drum. Even so, you might often feel quite disconnected or self-conscious in a group
setting or with friends, as if you don't truly belong. You are especially sensitive to your place in the group or community, and this is where
you become wise. Your gift of understanding lies here, but it's also where you can feel quite insecure--as if you are never doing enough.
Learning to trust yourself is empowering, as you discover that giving up on an intense quest to find out where you belong helps you to do
just that.
You may have felt ashamed for your curiosity, questions, restlessness, the need to challenge and question life/facts/beliefs, or the need to
get away, expand, and seek meaning. You could feel uncomfortable around people who are expressing these Sagittarian traits, not quite
trusting them. Learning to accept these very natural, human needs can be empowering.
One theory behind the Nodes of the Moon (the North Node and South Node) suggests that we all come into this world with some
underdeveloped and overdeveloped aspects of our character. The Nodes of the Moon point us to these specific qualities: the South Node
represents our overdeveloped character traits that we automatically fall back upon. We're talented here, but if we overdo this area of life
or hold onto these traits to feel secure, we may undermine our lives or prevent growth. On the other hand, the North Node suggests the
qualities that we need to work on and develop to achieve inner balance.
With your True North Node in Aquarius, your South Node is in Leo.
This placement of the North Node of the Moon can incline you to be very attached to the drama of romance and personal relationships, to
be willful and wholly focused on getting what you want, and to resist being "one of the crowd" for fear that it makes you less special or
unique. If overdone, these traits can serve to limit your opportunities and keep you in a state of dissatisfaction.
Your path seems to be learning to let go of your fears in relationships through offering more freedom to your partners to be themselves
instead of expecting them to act as you want them to act. As well, you're learning that we are all equal and that we can still be special if
we belong to a community or share common traits with others. You are learning to move towards a more impartial approach to the world,
and as you do, you'll cultivate more and more sensitivity to the needs of others. By letting go of the strong desire to get what you want in
the here and now, satisfaction will come to you naturally as you slowly but surely discover that you get what you need even in the
absence of a passionate chase.
You could find that your personal relationships and romances suffer when you take things too personally and expect others to follow a
script that you have unconsciously written for them. Learning to let go of the desire for drama and attention, and moving towards a more
objective approach to your life will help you grow and develop true friendships and will lead to a greater sense of inner balance. Your
relationships with others, as well as your relationship with yourself, will benefit.
You might discover that success comes more readily for you when you open yourself to information, are flexible and adaptable, and
connect with others. Light, casual interactions and discussions can lead to incredible ideas, and they can also boost your joy and fortune.
Putting your feelers out for information works to your benefit. As you cultivate a philosophy that things naturally change, move, and
evolve, you adapt well to circumstances, and success comes more readily.
Ventures that make use of communicative, verbal, or dexterity skills can be most rewarding. Prosperous areas include teaching,
transportation, messaging, and communications. Look to Mercury, planetary ruler of Gemini, for more clues to where and how you
improve your lot in life.
With your career, life path, responsibilities, and long-term objectives, you can be a pioneer. You have the vision, although not always the
follow-through. Self-taught and self-directed, you prefer to answer to yourself. While you can be excited by your tasks at the outset, they
can grow tiresome later. After all, you feed off the spark of inspiration.
More than most things, you value your independence in the work you do. You don't always like to look or plan too far ahead in these
areas. With your reputation, you prefer to keep things straightforward, bold, and simple.
You excel in the areas of initiative, fresh ideas, vision, enthusiasm, and uniqueness. While persistent, you do grow tired if uninspired. It
may be at this time that you start something new. Ideally, your profession allows you to take on new challenges.
You might have viewed your parents or caregivers as polar opposites--one was more lenient and cooperative while the other, competitive
and assertive.
6/12
The Sun's house position modifies and refines its position by zodiac sign. With the Sun in your tenth house, the urge to work toward a
goal, for success and accomplishment, and/or for power is an essential part of your makeup. You are uncomfortable in any position in
which you must "take orders" from someone else, although if it furthers your own goals to do so, you'll do your best in this role. Recognize
your ambitions and your need for authority without going overboard. Seek out a career that allows you to manage, rather than be
managed, if possible. It is crucial that you accept the part of you that is ambitious, but take pains not to over-identify with an image that is
not really you! There is undoubtedly a very responsible, goal-oriented side to you. It's natural for you to work your way up the ladder. Your
strong, determined personality is often well-received, although there can be friction with other strong personalities from time to time.
The Moon in the houses can reveal where and how we go about seeking emotional satisfaction. If it's an issue, we can discover vital
clues to the reason for perpetual emotional unrest through the study of the house position of the Moon, and these can manifest as
constant changes or ups and downs in the areas of life ruled by the house. It is in these areas that we should aim to make deep
attachments rather than chase superficial and temporary emotional thrills if we are seeking out a genuine feeling of belonging and
emotional fulfillment. It's important to note that house positions are quite sensitive to birth times.
This position of the Moon indicates an emotional need for recognition, popularity, acknowledgment, and achievement. With the Moon in
your tenth house, you can be quite charismatic. You are at your emotional best when you lead a structured and responsible life, but it can
take time to get there! You may change your goals and ambitions, general direction, and/or your profession frequently in an attempt to find
the perfect fit. You may worry about living up to your image, or the expectations of your family. Decisions may be emotionally biased, or
you might act on emotional whims often. Learning to set your own heartfelt goals is the challenge here, as it is unlikely you will find real
happiness if you follow or adopt the expectations of others, to which you can be especially sensitive.
Your early experiences somehow encouraged you to seek success and never to shy away from taking on responsibility. You may even
find your family or home in your work, career, or public/professional role.
You rather quickly and comfortably take on the role of manager or leader, or you readily accept responsibility. Much of your personality is
expressed through what you do - you put a lot of heart into your roles, careers, and goals. Or, you may adopt a nurturing position in your
career, making you an excellent leader, teacher, manager, counselor, or guide. You are charismatic, and it's easy for others to identify with
you. Your influence can be considerable, and you may be a role model without even realizing it. Others often turn to you for advice.
You are endlessly curious about people, group interactions, community affairs, trends, and teams, as well as wonderfully open-minded.
You are attracted to people who bring new ideas into your experience, and who have something novel to contribute on an intellectual
level. You are very forward-looking and fair-minded. Fair play, impartiality, and unselfishness are essential ideals for you. There can be
many changes or fluctuations in your personal wishes, dreams, plans, and ideals. You might attract friends who come and go, or who are
dishonest or duplicitous if Mercury is challenged here.
You are friendly and an engaging conversationalist, although you tend to go off on many different tangents, rarely following a neat, logical
line or train of thought. Sharing ideas with others is vitally important to you. While your ideas can be unconventional, you work well with
others or in a team.
These traits are Mercury in the eleventh house in pure form and are modified by Mercury's sign and aspects. [Note that house positions
are highly dependent on birth time.]
With Venus in the tenth house of your chart, you can be an excellent negotiator. You are very skilled, and thoroughly enjoy, managing and
organizing efforts. For some, a profession in the arts is favored, and for others, your ability to get along with others is a boon to your
career. Your reputation is likely favorable. Others tend to respect you for your charming manner, and you have many admirers, although
some of these are admirers from afar, as there is an aura about you that is charming yet strangely (and intriguingly) distant.
You have a great need to be recognized or admired for your charm, beauty, or loving manner, but should be careful not to become too
wrapped up in what others think of you, as you might come across as phony or superficial. Some people with this position are “married” to
their work or to their image. You are good at making contacts and organizing social events. This is a generally favorable position for
financial prosperity.
Mars in the first house of your chart is a commanding position and is even more so if Mars is also conjunct the Ascendant. Your reactions
to new situations are immediate and pressing. You are an active, energetic, dynamic, enterprising, and possibly even forceful or
aggressive person at times (unless Mars is in strong aspect to Saturn or Neptune).
You often begin new endeavors with enthusiasm, although follow-through may not be present, depending on the rest of your chart. Some
of you might be rash, inconsiderate, or overly assertive. People are often impressed with your energy and stamina! You need to be
involved, take the lead, and act independently. You don't enjoy following others or playing waiting games.
You can be fiercely independent, and you are usually direct and straightforward--and this is wonderfully refreshing! Spontaneity is
extremely important to you. Some of you might stir up trouble--whether consciously or not--when you're bored. Your approach to life is
physical and active, and your love of competition is notable.
7/12
Cultivating close, rewarding partnerships is important to you with Jupiter in the seventh house of your natal chart. You are talented at
negotiations, believing strongly in fair play, and you are excellent at mediating conflicts. Legal matters may be fortunate for you. You value
people and relationships, and you may very well succeed best in partnership. Relating as equals is important to you. You naturally use
charm and grace to reach your goals. You tend to expect the best from others, which can sometimes lead to disappointments, but you are
highly resilient.
The placement of Saturn in the second house of your natal chart indicates a strong need for security, with your personal belongings and
personal space holding a special place in your life.
Early life experiences have left a lasting impression, instilling in you a fear of loss, particularly in the areas of money, material
possessions, and security. This fear can manifest as challenges, blocks, and worries in your life. For some, this placement can lead to a
struggle with self-worth, often tied too closely to material achievement.
Managing your finances and personal belongings can be a delicate balance. If the rest of your chart suggests a tendency to be a
spendthrift, it's important to be mindful of the guilt and worry that can accompany this. On the other hand, if you lean towards frugality,
consider whether loosening up a little could bring more balance to your life.
It's understandable to fear being taken advantage of, and this fear can sometimes lead to missed opportunities for growth and
improvement. It's also common to avoid connecting with our feelings and vulnerabilities, particularly when it comes to financial or
relationship decisions. However, it's important to recognize that you tend to make poor decisions on these fronts when they are driven by
fear. With time and experience, you can learn to navigate these fears and develop a healthier relationship with your income, belongings,
and self-image.
With Uranus in your ninth house, you instinctively challenge preconceived ideas and traditional beliefs or attitudes. You heartily believe in
freedom of thought, speech, and movement, and you prefer to follow your adventurous spirit or curiosity spontaneously without too much
planning.
Regardless of your background or beliefs, you don't follow a script regarding your worldview, how you view others and different cultures,
education, and belief systems. You prefer not to be told how or what to think, and you forge your own unique path, especially with
learning, sharing ideas, exploring topics of interest, extracurricular activities, and personal philosophy or religion.
You are inherently optimistic and believe in progress and change, although you are less interested in the details of a particular pursuit
than the big picture or vision. Your belief in the power of inspiration and intuition is unwavering, making rote learning unappealing. You
have an excellent feel for trends and work best on inspiration, impulse, and intuition, empowering you to navigate your unique path.
You are naturally drawn to unusual ideas, concepts, viewpoints, and destinations. The importance of speaking your truth and living
without hypocrisy is not just a value, but a vital part of your being. This emphasis on authenticity validates your unconventional beliefs and
encourages you to embrace your unique perspective.
There can be Uranian themes with ninth-house matters. For example, the ninth house rules such things as belief systems, ideologies,
higher education, travel, publishing, in-laws, second marriages, legal decisions, the health of a parent, and seeking meaning. Any or even
many of these life departments can be subject to unpredictability, interruptions, sudden or unexpected experiences, originality, creativity,
liberation, eccentricity, and ups and downs or erratic cycles. For example, there can be disruptions to your higher education or unusual
travel experiences. These areas are where you can be radical, non-traditional, spontaneous, willful, and anti-routine.
You can be adamant about self-teaching or discovering places and ideas on your own, and you can be highly intuitive and original as a
result, quickly and easily becoming an expert or coming up with unique and valuable methods. Writing, teaching, guiding, promoting,
broadcasting, and publishing can be areas of great interest and talent, and you have an inimitable style. This could be a reflection of your
unique approach to learning and sharing information.
There is a spiritual longing with this position. You might often experience deja vu or other psychic phenomena. You pay attention to
dreams, and you might enjoy analyzing them. Sexual fantasies or role-playing can be strong themes in your life. You might yearn for a
spiritual form of ecstasy on an intimate level--a soul connection.
You could feel that your needs on this level are always just out of reach. You can be a giver in bed, and perhaps feel that you give more
than you get. Alternatively, you could be in the opposite position in which you seek partners who are exceptionally giving on a sexual
level. Either way, there is an imbalance, and you could be left wanting. With Neptune in the 8th, it can be especially important to be
discriminating when it comes to selecting sexual partners if Neptune is challenged. You may not see your partner clearly because of a
deep need for extraordinary or fantastical experiences. There may be times when you give more than you take with money. If a more
aggressive personality seems to want something more, you will cut them a better deal. Your shared finances may be chaotic in some way.
You may be taken advantage of on a monetary level in partnership, or you might keep poor financial records and end up paying or owing
more as a result. There can be a blurring of boundaries when it comes to finances and partnership, whether that means you allow a
partner to control your finances or you adopt a "what's mine is yours" philosophy without following up on or enforcing the "what's yours is
mine" part. In this way, you may leave yourself open to deception or even fraud. You can be a bit sloppy with accounting. You may have
problems collecting inheritance and could encounter difficulties on a financial level through the marital partner.
8/12
Over the years, you will likely learn to take more responsibility for your finances and learn to be less timid about taking ownership of what
is rightfully yours. You are very creative and imaginative sexually, and you understand and accept a broad range of styles and preferences
on a sexual level.
You are a hard worker and can be quite protective or private when it comes to your work output. You are excellent at analysis, but you can
also easily become obsessed with finding an answer to problems, perhaps even finding problems that others overlook. You "come alive"
when presented with a problem that requires research and analysis. Work can become an obsession for you, and you are able to work
almost tirelessly. You might be private or insular when it comes to your job, and you might also feel overly attached to what you do even to
the point of paranoia. Fear of criticism might run high when it comes to your work output. Directing your own work or working for yourself
may be the best route for you to take, as you can easily resent others controlling your schedule and the work that you do. You are likely
very interested in areas of health and self-improvement, as well as explorations of the mind-body connection, and you instinctively seek
alternative therapies for healing. Some of you are outstanding researchers in these areas.
With Chiron in the eighth house of your natal chart, you have a highly-developed sensitivity to and awareness of eighth-house matters,
such as attachment and loss. This trait can sometimes limit you, but you also develop great empathy and wisdom in these areas as you
live and learn.
Because of your keen understanding of power dynamics, personal psychology and motivations, jealousies, sexuality, and intense
emotions, you would make an authoritative guide and powerful counselor. However, applying your perceptions and philosophies to your
own life can be the greater challenge. Learning to embrace your feelings, attachments, intimate feelings, and the power of loss and
recovery is another story! It can become a huge part of your journey.
In your life, you learn to overcome limitations in these areas, and you have all the power to help others grow and heal. The fear of loss of
self is intense with this position, yet you are also drawn to situations where you might lose control or lose yourself. As such, you may find
yourself in periods of intense change, reinvention, and transformation more frequently than most. Your entirely unique insights make you
a one-of-a-kind investigator or researcher, valued for your special perspective.
The theory behind the Nodes of the Moon (the North Node and South Node) suggests that we all come into this world with some
underdeveloped and overdeveloped aspects of our character.
With your North Node in the eighth house, your South Node is naturally in the second house.
It's second nature for you to be practical, self-sufficient, and to choose a safe route. Your path, however, is to merge, share, investigate,
probe the surface of things, and face deeper emotions--allowing yourself to surrender to the unknown or chaotic from time to time! You
may be too superficially involved with certain paths or projects, and you're challenged to dig in. Maintaining the status quo comes
naturally to you -- now you're encouraged to grow, expand, and seek more experience. Doing so will improve your life, particularly your
finances, many times over.
With the Part of Fortune in the twelfth house of your natal chart, very often, your path to fulfillment and satisfaction comes as a result of
going within yourself and connecting with your intuition on a given matter. Your compassion and perceptiveness lead to important
opportunities. Success often comes in non-traditional paths, routes, or timelines. You can derive much joy from healing, helping, and
understanding. You might do your best work or come to the most valuable conclusions given enough time and space to yourself.
Aspects
Sun Sextile Vertex (orb 0°7')
With the Sun and the Ascendant in sextile aspect to one another, it's natural for you to be well-received by others. There's a distinct air of
authority and magnanimity that surrounds you, but it's not intimidating. The authority you project is not offensive, primarily due to the
natural sincerity that goes with it. Unless the Ascendant or Sun are otherwise quite challenged, most will describe you as natural, easy to
like, and friendly. People notice you more than most, but it's in a way that makes them feel at ease and comfortable.
9/12
Moon Trine Pluto (orb 0°33')
You're naturally inventive, bold, impulsive, and courageous. You dare to be different! Highly original, you stand out pleasantly from the
crowd and have a strong impact on others.
Rarely bored when on your own, you have many interests, goals, and projects to occupy your time. However, if you're caught in a routine,
your love of variety and freedom leads to restlessness. You're averse to doing everything by the book, restrictions, and limiting schedules.
In fact, you thrive best when given the room and space to connect with your powerful instincts and impulses.
Your methods and plans are highly original, and you have excellent troubleshooting and multitasking abilities. Because you thrive on
spontaneity, you can surprise people, keeping them on their toes.
With Jupiter forming a sextile to Uranus in your birth chart, you have faith in the future, trust your visions, and welcome change and
innovation if you expect it will improve your life. New methods and innovations intrigue you. You enjoy being a step ahead of others with
your ideas, projects, or knowledge. You also prefer to explore life rather spontaneously. Although you're not averse to some instruction or
direction, you want to leave some room for discovery and exploration.
You are quick to imagine possibilities where others see dead ends, and your optimism is commendable. Your sincerity and openness are
distinctive. This aspect helps you detach from traditions or customs that feel restrictive. Your ideas, beliefs, worldview, and opinions are
somewhat unconventional.

Please be patient when entering your birth city to allow the program to call up the list of locations as sometimes it’s not
instantaneous. If you’re just not getting results and can’t submit, it may be that the atlas is busy (GeoNames has certain limits per
hour and per day). In this case, you can use this same tool on my sister site, Astrology Cafe here.
It’s important to enter the city name only or the first several letters of the city in the Birth City field, not the country or
state/province/region. For example, if you were born in Fuzhou, Fujian, China, you should enter “fuzhou” or similar and not “fujian”
or “china.” It’s better not to overtype – for best results, type in the CITY name and scroll through the list for the correct city.
11/12
**Important: Under normal circumstances, you don’t need to change the time zone offset. Please don’t adjust the time zone offset
unless you know for certain what you’re doing since the default offsets incorporate crucial factors (such as daylight savings time),
and are in the majority of cases accurate for births after 1970. There are some discrepancies in all historical time zone atlases,
particularly for birth years before 1970, however, so if you need help with the time zone offset value, send an email to
[email protected]. Be sure to mention why you’re writing and include full birth data. **Note that the atlas in this software is
not as particular about historical time zones (before 1970 births) as the atlas in our Free Report Section, but is excellent for post-
1970 time zones. It is always a good idea to check up on older dates since time zone changes, especially regarding Daylight Saving
Time, were erratic in some areas and not well-documented.
I have received many emails from people who feel they should be changing the +/- value of the time zone offset number, quoting
time converter formulas. Doing so will give you incorrect results. Please see the FAQ here for the reasons not to change the +/-
value. Bottom line: astrology software converts local time to UT and not vice versa, and the +/- values produced by this software are
correct.
Note: if there is an error in the Geonames atlas service (that is, if the service cannot find the time zone temporarily), the UTC offset
will state “false” instead of a numerical value. Before pressing Submit, please change “false” to the appropriate time zone numeral. If
you need help with determining this number, write to [email protected].

Note about house systems: If you’re new to astrology, simply stick with the Placidus house system on this page and later in your studies,
you can explore different house systems. Mind you, many astrologers do end up sticking with Placidus after further study. Using Placidus
is not a sign of an unevolved astrologer, in other words, as some will have you believe!
