Week of 4/2/12
Can you believe that April is here already? This year is flying by. As I was planning on what to include this week, I realized that I had not included our top reading minutes for February and March minutes will need to be turned in Monday morning. I wanted to be sure to recognize the top readers from February. Our top four readers were Cecilia with 2,505 minutes, Max with 2,475 minutes, Gregory with 1,575 minutes and Courtnie with 1,387 minutes. Great job everyone.

Mrs. Lividini sent home a notice last week inviting your children to join her on Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:30 AM to work on a special project for our upcoming Indian Festival. Please let me know if your child would like to come in for the project. Additionally, please let me know if you are able to help Mrs. Lividini during that time. I would like to send out a huge thank to Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Keohane, Mrs. OHara and Mrs. Polito for helping out with our Field trip to the Discovery Museum in Acton. The hands-on museum was exactly what the children needed after two days of MCAS and the children really benefitted from exploring the exhibits with magnets and electricity. On a side note, many of your children need new expo markers. Please check in with your child to see if they need a couple new expo markers to finish out the year with. We use them on a daily basis. Classroom donations of markers are always welcome. I am looking forward to a great week. Warmly, Sandra Travers
