FADE IN:

1 INT. ROOM - NIGHT 1


HE (V.O.)
(Self-loathing in a
Depressive voice)
He is tired and drained, siting down at his writing table
chair, writing in his Dairy.
(V.O. Determined that if
he doesn’t write the
story he wants to write
today, somehow he must
start it tomorrow.
"Tomorrow will be the
first day of the rest of
my life")
After finishing, he closes the diary.
He then lies down, covering himself from head to toe.
DISSOLVE TO:

2 INT. ROOM - DAY - 6:00 AM 2


The alarm blares through the room.
With a face touched by sleep, He gets up (sits) and blindly
reaches for the phone lying in the table.
He turns off the 6:00 AM alarm he’d set the night before,
resets it to 8:00 AM, and buries his head back into the
pillow, unwilling to wake.
CUT TO:

2A INT. ROOM - DAY - 8:00 AM 2A


The alarm blares through the room.
Forcing himself out of sleep, He opens his eyes with great
effort. Drained and dazed, he sits up in bed, head resting
against the headboard, arms limp at his sides, legs still
wrapped under the blanket— and without even turning off the
alarm, he lets out a long, heavy yawn, sitting there in
silence without getting himself out.

2B INT. BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS 2B

He picks up his toothbrush, squeezes out a stingy amount of


toothpaste, and brushes his teeth.
He washes his face with soap.

2E INT. HALL - CONTINUOUS 2E


He takes his phone. Connects Bluetooth to the bar and plays
songs in it (Ilayaraja's retro).

2C INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS 2C


He takes a packet of milk from the fridge, lights the stove,
takes a cigarette and pours the milk into a vessel.
As the milk rises to boil, he turns off the stove.
He adds a spoonful of coffee powder into the milk in a
tumbler.
Then, with two tumblers, he skillfully swirls the coffee back
and forth, letting it flow high and smooth.

2D INT. HALL - CONTINUOUS 2D


He is sitting in the Dining table drinking the coffee.
Songs are playing in the Bluetooth Bar as he sits and drinks
the coffee.
His Phone rings. Call from Amma.
(Phone Conversation: His
Mother asks him weather
he gets something to
eating or not - after all
smalls talks are over He
asks his mother not to
call again.)

3 INT. ROOM - MOMENTS LATER - 7:45 AM 3

On the writing table lying a Laptop, a diary, a new notebook


which he bought to write stories.

He opens a new notebook. He flips to page 3. It is a fresh


page. Dated "14.05.2025", he changes it to "15.05.2025". He
gazes at the empty page, dizzily.

Then, without a word written he puts his pencil down.

HE
(V.O. Lacking motivation - refers
to Nietzsche's Quote: "Only
thoughts gained by walking have
value".)

3A EXT. ROAD - MOMENTS LATER 3A


HE
(Dialogue: Random wicked
thoughts)
Lost in thought, he walks on, covering two kilometers without
even realizing it. He moves forward, he marked landmark as an
end point.
HE
(Dialogue: As his gaze
drifts aimlessly, his
thoughts scatter in all
directions.)

At one moment, he stops— and looks back at the path he’s


walked… then ahead, at the daunting road that still remains.
HE
(Confusion: Weather to
continue the walk or not)
He decides to walk all the way to the end point— but then
changes his mind, and turns back, retracing the very path he
came from.
CUT TO:

3B INT. ROOM - MOMENTS LATER 3B

He is siting in the table where he left out.


(V.O. He asks himself
"எப்டி எழுத ஆரம்பிக்கலா",
then he says: "பசிக்கிதே..
சாப்ட்டு தெம்பா உக்காந்து
எழுத ஆராமபிச்சா நல்ல
இருக்கும்" - "இந்த ஒரு
scene மட்டும் எழுதிட்டு
சாப்பட போறேன்" -
"Classroom இரண்டாக

சட்னி fridge-லர்ந்து வெளில

3D INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS 3D

He takes the flour container from the fridge and places it


near the stove outside.
He picks up the dosa stone and sets it on the stove, lighting
the flame.
The stone begins to heat up...

He takes some batter and spreads it on the hot dosa stone to


cooks a dosa.

He places two dosas on the plate, then pours a third dosa


batter onto the stone...

CUT TO:

3E INT. HALL - CONTINUOUS 3E

He is sitting in the dining table, eating.

He switches on the TV, opens YouTube, and plays his curated


playlist titled “Writing Tips”. Famous writers and directors
appear on the screen, explaining how they prepare themselves
before writing. (The red progress line on the videos confirms
that he has already watched this playlist before.)

On screen, Paul Schrader in a reel says, “Art is a tool.” “To


create art, one must first truly know oneself. Art is us. We
must take ourselves as raw material.”

Even after finishing his breakfast, He remains seated,


intently absorbed in Paul Schrader’s lecture.

Suddenly, his gaze snaps to the kitchen— as he smells


something bad— the dosa has burned, smoke filling the entire
cooking area.
He rushes over and turns off the stove.

FADE TO:

4 INT. ROOM - MOMENTS LATER - 8:30 AM 4

He sits at the table, quietly reflecting on who he is and


what he truly means.

HE

(Narrating what he is
writing: age, DOB,
height, weight,
education, passion…)
Beyond that point, He finds himself unable to write and stops
altogether.

CUT TO:

4A INT. ROOM - CONTINUOUS 4A

He opens the diary and flips through some notes he had


written long ago.

HE (V.O.)
(Reads some notes)

He is embarrassed while reading his own journal as it


contains a comic portrayal of some events which exhibits his
stupidity.
He puts the diary aside.

Standing before the mirror, He Takes off his dress and


examining his own poor body.

HE (V.O.)
(Speaks about his
unattractive body)

CUT TO:

4B INT. ROOM - CONTINUOUS 4B

Standing near the shelf where the books are arranged, he's
recalling his favorite Novels, while tying to figure out his
own character. He refers to some books that deeply resonates
his own character.

HE (V.O.)
(He refers to some books

CUT TO:

On his laptop, Naren downloads "Perks of Being a Wallflower"


via torrent and copies it onto a pendrive.

4C INT. HALL - AFTERNOON - MOMENTS LATER 4C

He plugs the pendrive into the TV. He opens the folder— more
than fifteen movies are stored inside. He selects "Perks of
Being a Wallflower" and starts watching.

CUT TO:
Half an hour into the movie, He realizes he doesn’t like it.

CUT TO:

At the climax— Charlie enters the tunnel and moves back to


the truck, He watches quietly, letting Charlie’s monologue
spill over the screen.
(V.O. Naren criticizes
the film for its shallow
portrayal of Charlie, the
protagonist with whom he
felt a deep emotional
connection in the novel.)

START MONTAGE
HE REPLAYS THE EMMA WATSONS DANCE SCENE AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Suddenly we hear his phone ringing.

MONTAGE END

Call from AMMA.


(Phone Conversation: He
is harshly speaking to
his mother - she asking
whether he ate lunch or
not - He shouts: "இப்ப
என்ன சாப்படலான
செத்துருவன நானு.")

SMASH TO:

5 INT. KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER - 1:40 PM 5

We hear Songs blare loudly, filling the entire house.

He places a pan on the stove, pours a tumbler of water into


it, and waits for it to boil.

As the water bubbles, he carefully opens the packet of Maggie


noodles and adds them to the pan, watching them soften and
swirl in the hot water. He stirs slowly, letting the noodles
soak in, stretching the preparation with deliberate patience.

5A INT. HALL - CONTINUOUS 5A

He savors the Maggie, eating it with quiet satisfaction.


He is scrolling social media, while listening to the music.

He let out a big belch.

CUT TO:

5B INT. ROOM - EVENING - MOMENTS LATER - 4:00 PM 5B

He is sitting in the table where he left. Looking dizzily the


empty page.

He takes out every extra thing lying in the table and puts it
aside.
He adjusts his Keyboard to fit perfectly in the imaginary
horizontal line.
(WE SEE A VISUAL LENGTH CALCULATORS APPEAR IN THE SCREEN AS
HE TRIES TO ADJUST THOSE THINGS)

He then, annoyed by his own obsessiveness he puts the pen


inside the cupboard.
HE (V.O.)
(Sets to write the story, says:
Start)
CUT TO:
MONTAGE STARTS

We see he his playing cards in his Laptop.


Siting in his chair spreads his legs across the bed,
scrolling social media (Reels from several topics:
satisfaction videos, gameplays, movies, etc...)

An advertising reel appears which talks about


procrastination.
MONTAGE END

5C INT. ROOM - CONTINUOUS - 6:30 PM 5C


He paces around the room.
8.

(V.O. Realizing that he


got distracted and wasted
time, even though having
many failed attempts like
this. Now he must make
himself ready to write.
He decides to clean the
room and him to start
refreshingly.)
CUT TO:

6 INT. HALL - NIGHTS - MOMENTS LATER - 8:45 6


MONTAGE START

He is cleaning the room.


Taking bath.
Changes Dress.

Makes coffee.
Reads some short stories.

MONTAGE END

6A INT. ROOM - MOMENTS LATER 6A

He is sitting in the table with the note opened. His face


shows an hint of determination.
(V.O. a self-conscious
thought on writing)

Before Stepping in to start the writing, he decides to


meditate for 5 minutes to calm his mind.
Siting in the chair he puts cross legs, sits erectly, puts
his both hands in the knee (meditative position), and closes
his eyes.

Breathes in - Breathes out, Breathes in - Breathes out,


Breathes in - Breathes out, Breathes in - Breathes out,....
CUT TO:

6B INT. ROOM - CONTINUOUS 6B


9.

Already finished some pages, he is going with a flow in


writing the story with deep focus. We see a great dedication
in his face.
MONTAGE STARTS

The story he written in the A4 pages appears and dissolve in


the screen as he is writing it.
MONTAGE ENDS

We can see in his face that he is obvious in what he is


writing. He is about to finish the story. Suddenly we see
water falling in the A4 sheets in which he is writing, from
above his head. With a shock clung to his eyes he looks up.
We see a the water is falling from a dick like fountain.
CUT TO:

6C INT. ROOM - CONTINUOUS 6C


Suddenly he opens his eyes from a shock. He is still siting
in the chair with his legs crossed as in the meditative
position. He sees his pant got wet as it was urinated. With a
dizzy eyes he stands still feeling disgust.

He then starts to cry (in a moaning voice).


CUT TO:

6D INT. BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS 6D


We see his pant and under ware slips to his legs.

T-Shirt falls down to the bathroom floor.


DISSOLVE TO:

7 INT. ROOM - MOMENTS LATER 7

He is exhausted and restless, with a weary face, in a bare


body he stands in front of the mirror.

(V.O. Self-loathing in a
Depressive voice: I suck.
I'm irrelevant.
Everything I make is
worthless. I'm a looser!
Stop. Focus. I want to be
better. The best version
of me. I want to read
more books. I have to
gain more understanding
on myself on life. may be
I should go out meet
friends and socialize
with people. Before
wanting to story I want
to develop my body, look
how lean and unattractive
I look with this stupid
skeleton face. A six pack
would be nice, but how
would I manage to read
books if I spent time in
GYM. But that wouldn't
matter If I loved myself.
I think I'd love myself
if I made something
worthwhile.)
He gets up from the bed and, tired and drained, sits down at
his writing table chair. He opens his diary and begins to
write...
(V.O. Determined that if
he doesn’t write the
story he wants to write
today, somehow he must

After finishing, he closes the diary, gets up as is, gets


into the bed, and lies down, covering himself from head to
toe.
