To ensure the success and continuity of an organization, it's
important to manage and protect its assets effectively. Some ways
to protect an organization's assets include: Using metal asset tags,
Installing surveillance systems, Using anti-theft decals or labels,
Locking laptops and computers, and Using GPS tracking.
Working with assets
Asset management- The practice of buying, selling,
and managing investments to increase wealth over time.
Asset managers are professionals who work for
clients to make decisions on their behalf.
Being an asset at work
Being a resource that others can rely on,
and having the ability to work well with
others. Some ways to be an asset at work
include: .

Asset-based working- A way of working that
focuses on strengths, skills, and networks to enable
people to have a more active role in their care.
Accounting- assets are defined as anything a
business owns that has value and can be
converted to cash. The basic accounting
equation states that assets = liabilities +
stockholders' equity. .
Working assets- Working assets are equal to
accounts receivable plus inventory, less accounts
payable, plus PP&E (plant, property and equipment),
capitalized software, plus investment in non-
consolidated joint ventures.
Source and program monitors
The Source Monitor plays back individual clips. In the
Source Monitor, you prepare clips that you want to
add to a sequence. You set In points and Out points,
and specify the clip’s source tracks (audio or video).

The Program Monitor plays back the
sequence of clips that you are assembling.

removed from the sequence.
Each monitor contains both a time ruler and controls
to play back and cue the current frame of a source
clip or sequence. Set In and Out points, go to In and
Out points, and set markers. Insert and Overwrite
buttons are available in the Source Monitor, and Lift
and Extract buttons are available in the Program
Monitor, by default. Each monitor also contains an
Export Frame button for creating a still from a single
frame of video.
The Source Monitor
• Playhead: A playhead is a vertical line that indicates the
current position of playback or recording in a digital audio
workstation or video editing program
• Function: the playhead's main function is to show the
current position of playback or recording. It's an essential
tool for precise editing, such as making cuts, aligning
tracks, and setting loop start and end points.
• How to use: You can move the playhead
by clicking anywhere in the timeline to jump
to that position. You can also drag the
playhead to move it along the timeline.
• Keyboard shortcuts: In Adobe Premiere Pro, you
can use the following keyboard shortcuts to navigate
the timeline:
K: Pauses or stops playback
L: Speeds up playback
J: Plays back the video in reverse
• Scaling options: Scaling options can
refer to a number of things, including:
Screen resolution- In Windows, you can
change the size of your screen by going to
Display settings, scrolling to Scale and
layout, and selecting an option. The
recommended option is usually the best
choice.
Worksheet scaling- In Microsoft Excel, you can
scale a worksheet for printing by changing the font
size. To do this, you can:

• Click File > Print


• Click Custom Scaling > Custom Scaling Options
under Settings
• Click Page and choose a percentage to
increase or decrease the font size
In/out duration: In Adobe Premiere Pro, the in/out
duration is the selected portion of a clip or sequence
that is being edited or exported. The in point marks the
beginning of the selected range, and the out point
marks the end.
To set in and out points in Premiere Pro, you can:
• Drag the playhead to the desired starting point
• Press the I key to set the in point
• Drag the playhead to the desired ending point
• Press the O key to set the out point
You can also adjust the in and out points by
dragging them to new positions in the time ruler.
To move the in and out points together, you can:

1.) Hover over the In or Out Grip tool


2.) Hold and drag the In or Out Grip to a different
position
To clear in and out points, you can use
the following keyboard shortcuts:
• Ctrl+Shift+I (Opt+I)
• Ctrl+Shift+O (Opt+O)
• Ctrl+Shift+X (Opt+X).
• Resolution: Resolution refers to the number of
pixels a screen can show. The higher the number
of pixels a screen can show, the sharper the image
quality is. Baseline full HD features 1,920 x 1,080
pixels (1080p) and there are sharper standards,
QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and 4K UHD (3,840 x
Settings Button 2,160 pixels).
• Button Editor
The Button Editor in Adobe Premiere Pro is
a tool that allows users to customize the
playback controls and buttons in the video
editing software.
