Hinapolon Primary School is a Multigrade school located
at the far north part of the Municipality of Alangalang
and became a complete multigrade school offfering
kindergarten to 6th grade since 2021.
The school recorded an increased enrolment
from 68 to 74 learners with 86% cohort- survival rate
and 85% completion rate. Also the school recorderd 0
dropout rate for the past 3 years.
Pandemic has brought extraordinary
challenges and has affected educational sector. Schools
have been closed for more than two years. Learners
were not able to supervised by teachers regularly and

home learning facilitators fail to facilitate learning of

their children at home. These all happens in different
factors and aspect to be considered in both. As a result,
schools all over the country recorded high number of
learners classified as Full Refresher during the conduct
of Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment. One of
these is Hinapolon Primary School, the school recorded 6
learners in Grade 1 and 10 learners in Grade 2 and 4 in
Grade 3.
With this matter, the school aims to conduct a
Face to Face Remedial Reading Instruction to 19 learners
in key stage 1 to mitigate the reading issues to identified
learners.
At the end of the immersion, 50% or 10 out of 20
learners in K Stage 1 categorized as full refresher will be

Implementation
The beneficiaries of the Immersion Project are the 20
learners in Key Stage 1 categorized as full refresher. 6
Beneficiaries
learners in Grade 1, 10 learners in Grade 2 and 4
learners in Grade 3
50 % of the learners identified were expected to
recognize and master letter sounds.
Outputs 50 % of the learners identified were expected to
read simple CV/CVC words in Mother Tongue,
Filipino and English.
Learners are expected to recognize and master

Learners are expected to read simple CV/CVC
Success Indicators words in Mother Tongue for Grade 1, CV/ CVC
Words in Mother Tongue and Filipino for Grade 2
and CV/ CVC Words in Mother Tongue, Filipino and
English for Grade 3.
