Healthy Habits for Teenagers

As teenagers, it's important to have healthy habits for now and the future. Some good habits include:
Eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This gives our bodies the nutrition we
need to grow.
Exercising regularly, even 30 minutes a day. Exercise keeps our hearts healthy and can help reduce
stress.
Practicing good hygiene like washing hands and brushing teeth. This prevents germs and keeps us
feeling clean.
Getting enough sleep, around 8-10 hours per night. Sleeping well helps our brains and bodies work their
best.
By developing these healthy habits, we can take care of ourselves now and in the years to come.

You and three class members are discussing how to promote healthy habits at school. In your
discussion, you may include:

• what are some healthy habits teenagers should develop

• how do these habits benefit students
• what are some challenges teenagers face in maintaining healthy habits
• anything else you think is important.
