Interview 2019

Dear Candidate,

Greetings from IGIDR!

I am pleased to inform that you have been selected for interview for admission to the M.Phil/Ph.D.
Programme of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) to be held during
June 17, 2019 starting at 9.30 a.m.

Please read the following instructions carefully and follow them.

IMPORTANT:

(1) You must bring the original mark sheet, certificates, testimonials, degrees, diplomas etc. to be
verified by the Student Office. Those of you who belong to the reserved category (Scheduled
Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically disabled (PD) OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) must additionally carry the relevant original certificates
for verification. Without the required documents as mentioned above, you will not be allowed
to appear for the interview.

(2) If your final results for the minimum qualifying examination are yet to be declared, you must
produce your results for previous semesters/years. If selected in the interview, you will be
given a provisional admission that will be valid till October 31, 2019. Your admission will be
confirmed only if (i) you secure the minimum required class/division/percentage marks in the
qualifying degree examination as mentioned in our advertisement and (ii) your final result is
communicated to us by October 31, 2019. Failure to meet any of these criteria will imply
automatic disqualification from the Programme.

Reimbursement of train-fares:

(1) Candidates appearing for interview will be reimbursed II class (ordinary sleeper) return railway
fare (to & fro) by the shortest route from their place of residence (as shown in the application
form) to Mumbai on production of photocopy of the tickets.

Accommodation:
(1) Very limited accommodation is available in the campus and will be provided on a first come
first serve basis. If you need accommodation, you MUST inform us sufficiently in advance by
email. Kindly note that Accommodation will be provided for a maximum of one night at a
nominal charge of Rs.100/- per night.
(2) Accommodation will be provided only to the candidate on a sharing basis. Due to capacity
constraints, we are unable to provide accommodation to any accompanying members.

(3) For SC/ST/PD, OBC(NCL) and EWS candidates, accommodation and boarding charges will be
waived.

(4) Institute canteen services are available for the candidates and their accompanying members.
The average charge for all three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) per day per person is about
Rs.200/- which must be paid by the candidates directly to the Canteen.

Please inform us in advance by email about the dates of arrival and departure from the Institute by
E-mail as given below so as to enable us to make arrangements for your accommodation.
