PERSONAL PROTECTION

INSTALLATION OF SWITCHES AND DETECTORS ON

CAR CEILING
CONTACTS INSTALLED ON THE GOVERNOR SIDE
Follow the “Instructions for Use” of the personal protection equipment - Install the set of preassembled contacts on the support; check they are in accordance
with the dimensions shown in the drawing and tighten the bolts.
POTENTIAL RISKS
- Falls - Install the support plates for the detectors on the uprights.

- Trappings - Install the detectors on the support plates, adjusting their position.

- Install the detector on the support, adjusting its position. (On low overhead models
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
it is installed directly on the car upright without the support. See Figure 2).
- Use the safety harness where necessary
- Extra care when moving around on top of the car

NOTE: For low overhead models, the installation of the detector 1LV and
the cams in the upper part of the hoistway is different to those
shown in Figure 1. See Figure 2.

- Run the cables to the junction box for the connectors.

- Mount (2) supports and the cams which activate the switches 2-6LS and UDLS.
Fasten the complete set to the guide rail according to the dimensions shown
in Figures.

INSTALLATION OF MAGNETS ON EACH FLOOR TASKS TO BE PERFORMED ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR

- On each floor, attach the magnets which activate detector 1LV to the guide - Install the support and the cam which activates the switches 1/5 LS
rails at the height shown in the Figure below. and UDLS.
- Install the complete set on the guide rail at the height shown in the
Figure below.
