How to Operate a Fully-Automatic Washing Machine

Washing clothes manually is a tiring job that requires soaking, scrubbing, rinsing, and drying. A

fully-automatic washing machine simplifies this process completely and is a blessing in a modern

household. Here's how it can be used efficiently.

Check the Tags on Clothes

Always begin by checking the washing instructions on the clothes. Delicate fabrics or those with tags

like 'hand wash only' or 'dry clean only' should be kept aside and not washed in the machine.

Add Detergent

Use the right kind of detergent meant for fully-automatic washing machines. Refer to the detergent

pack for the correct quantity. Place the detergent into the designated drawer or compartment of the

machine.

Load the Clothes

Put your laundry into the washing drum. Ensure there is enough space inside the drum so the

clothes can move freely during the wash. Overloading can lead to inefficient cleaning.

Select Temperature and Spin Cycle

Choose the appropriate temperature based on the care labels. If there are multiple options, go for

the lowest temperature first to protect the fabric. Select a spin cycle that suits your laundry-delicate

items need slower spins, while heavier fabrics like jeans or towels may require faster cycles.

Start the Machine

Once the settings are chosen, close the lid or door and press the start button. The washing machine

will handle the entire cycle on its own-washing, rinsing, and spinning-without further intervention.

Unload Clothes Promptly

Once the cycle ends, remove the clothes from the drum as soon as possible. Leaving them inside

can cause a musty smell. Hang or dry the clothes immediately.

Maintenance

Clean the machine regularly to keep it running efficiently. Wipe the drum and door after use. Run a

tub clean cycle once a month, and check filters for lint or blockage. This helps in avoiding bad

odours and keeps the appliance in good condition.

Using a fully-automatic washing machine is an easy and efficient way to handle laundry. It not only

saves time and effort but also ensures better care of clothes. By following the correct method and

maintaining the machine regularly, users can enjoy clean, fresh laundry without the hassle.
