Tutorial

The document outlines calculations for maximum power transfer in various circuits, providing specific resistance values and corresponding maximum power outputs for each case. It includes the maximum power transfer theorem and the reciprocity theorem, with results for different configurations. The answers for maximum power and resistance values are given for five different scenarios, along with verification tasks for the reciprocity theorem in additional circuits.

power received by it. (refer to fig1) (Ans: 1.5Ω ; 22.042W)
2. Find the value of RL to receive maximum power and hence the maximum
power received by it. (refer to fig2) (Ans: 12Ω ; 0.75W)
3. Use Norton’s theorem to calculate the value of R that will absorb maximum
power and hence calculate the maximum power drawn by it. (refer to fig3)
(Ans: 4Ω ; 81W)
4. Find the value of RL connected between the terminals P and Q so that
maximum power is developed across RL and hence find the maximum
power received by it. (refer to fig4) (Ans: 4.67Ω ; 1.93W)
5. Find the value of load resistance RL to receive maximum power from the
source and hence find the maximum power delivered to the load. (refer to
fig5) (Ans: 20.83Ω ; 0.883W)

(RECIPROCITY THEOREM)

6. Verify reciprocity theorem for the given circuit. (refer to fig6)

7. Verify reciprocity theorem for the given circuit. (refer to fig7)
8. Check whether the given circuit is reciprocal or not. (refer to fig8)
