4. The danger of kickback and injury is increased

when the workpiece has knots, holes, or foreign
objects in it. Warped stock should be run through
a jointer before you run it through the router table.

5. Keep the cutter on the underside of the

workpiece when making blind cuts. This will
decrease the risk of accidental contact with the
cutter.

6. Always feed the workpiece against the rotation

direction of the cutter. Otherwise, the workpiece
could be aggressively pulled from your hands,
drawing them into the spinning cutter.

7. With the router disconnected from power,

rotate the router spindle to test any new setup to
ensure proper cutter clearance before starting the
router.

4. Assembly & Calibration
4.1 Unpacking
Check your product with Fig.3 and the exploded
view.
The RF-36 COMPASS Router Table Fence has
been completely assembled in factory. The guard
parts has been installed at the back of fence for
safe transportation, as shown in Fig.3.

b. As shown in Fig.6, install the fence on the

router table.
 During installation, align the T-bolt (B)
(Fig.5) with the holes (D) on the table
(Fig.6).
 Due to the differences between the table
dimensions, you may need to loosen the
set screws (E), (F), (G) and (H) for better

a. The following three adjustments need to be Note: The calibration of guide rail is essential
made before installation, as shown in Fig.5: to the accuracy of fence movement.
 Adjust the Scale (A) to “0”.
 Turn the T-bolt (B) out, the length of the A. As shown in Fig.7, loosen the fence face lock

 Adjust the lock bolt (C) until the straight edge
of the head of the lock bolt is parallel to the
guide rail, tighten it.

D. Keep turning the screw (I) clockwise, tension
the bearings slowly and evenly until there is no
obvious waggle of the fence and the fence can be
moved when you just push at the end position, as
shown in Fig.10.

G. If any parallelism deviation exists, as shown in
Fig.12, loosen the screws (E) and (F), add a shim
of the same thickness as the deviation amount
at the position of guide rail bearing, push the
fence against the table mounting surface, and
tighten the screws (E) and (F). Repeat this step to
get the desired result.
Note:
If L1 > L2, add the shim at the corresponding
position of L1.
If L2 > L1, add the shim at the corresponding
position of L2.
The shim can be made of paper, copper sheet.

screws (E) and (F), move the fence to make the
guide bar against the mounting face of the router
table, tighten the set screws (E) and (F) in the
meantime.
Note: You can remove the Fence lock handle
to facilitate your adjustment.
If there is no mounting surface, you can
temporarily fix a plate on the rear side of the
table for better adjustment.

4.5 Re-position the fence Fine-tuning system.
Note: This step must be carried out after the
calibration of guide rail.
Due to the differences of table dimensions, the
fence Fine-tuning system need to be
re-positioned as the following steps:
a. As shown in Fig.13, loosen the screws (G), (H)
and (J).
b. As shown in Fig.13, rotate the lock nut (K)
counterclockwise about 3-4 turns, then turn the
lock nut (K) clockwise to tighten the fence
fine-tuning locating block.
c. After the fence fine-tuning locating block is
completely tightened, tighten the screw (H), then
lock the screws (G) and (J).

这可能会将您的手部卷入正在旋转的铣刀中。

10. 始终保持铣刀未使用的部分位于台面下方,以减小
