Abstract
Robotics and automation is the field which has made lot of impacts on industrial as well
as household applications from last few decades. The reason behind the wide use of
robotics is it's ability to make changes inpreviously made systems and also it is time
consuming. The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle using android application
for remote operation and it is attached with camera for monitoring purpose. The robot
along withcamera can wirelessly transmit real time video using wifi. These robots can be
useful for spying purpose in wars. The android application is developed on mobile
devices, can connect with security system. The security system then acts on these
command and responds to the user. The camera and the ultrasonic sensors are attached
with security system for remote surveillance. A robot is a machine capable of carrying
out sequence of activities which are programmed already. A robot can be controlled by a
human operator. In such type of applications wireless communication is more important.
This paper shows general idea of the Design of robotic vehicle using Arduino board. This
robot can move in remote area and capture the images by using camera.

Importance
Surveillance is the process of monitoring a region or person.Surveillance usually requires
in a military bordersurveillance and enemy territory is essential to the security of a
country. Human Monitoring is achieved by deployingclose to sensitive areas of staff to
constantly monitor the changes. But humans have limitations and deployment inplaces
that are not always possible. There are also additional risks losing the staff in case of
being caught by theenemy.By providing the high resolution cameras and various sensors,
it is possible to obtain distance information ofspecific area. Nowadays most of the system
uses robots which can be from one place to another .These kind of robotsare flexible as
compares to fixed cameras.Video captured by robot can be seen on cellphone or desktop.

Objectives
➢ Provides simple means for the parents to monitor their children and pets at home
from remotely.
➢ Useful for Videos surveillance system and monitoring.
➢ Provides a controlling mechanism through the Internet and GUI.
➢ The control mechanism is provided a video transmission facility.
➢ Video transmission is practically achieved through high-speed image transmission.
Required apparatus
➢ Arduino UNO
➢ ESP- 32 camera module
➢ 2 Wheel Robotic Chassis with DC Motor
➢ L298N Motor Driver Module
➢ 2- Axis Pan Tilt Brackets for camera/sensors
➢ 2 AAA size 18650 battery
➢ 2 AAA size 18650 battery holder
➢ 2- Servo motors
➢ Breadboard
➢ Jumper wires
➢ USB Cables

Methodology
For developing a robot which can be used for video surveillance and monitoring,
Initially, the robot will be equipped with a camera which will capture the scenes and
transfer the images to the server on which the user will be watching and controlling the
live feed. The main equipment of the project is the ESP- 32, which is equipped with a
wifi camera can provide the image of the scene. Secondly the pan-tilt kit which is the
perfect way to give full range motion with two micro servos. The pan-tilt can rotate
roughly 180° from side-to-side and can tilt up and downwards around 150°. To move the
camera requires a Robot Chassis with wheels. Arduino UNO will be required to upload
the code to the wifi device and L298N motor driver module will be used to move the
Robot through coding.

Expected Result and Application

The proposed robot will be helpful for monitoring the situation and can be used to
recognize and detect motion automatically in the robot's surrounding environment
without using the human being directly. By providing the high-resolution cameras and
various sensors, it will be possible to obtain distance information to specific area. The
projectfuture scope has numerous openings that could be prosecuted for various future
applications for monitoring and control, etc. This robot can also be used in times of
environmental catastrophes where the robot detects whether a living human being is
present in that region. In domestic applications such as home security can also be
implemented using this method.
