National Security Agency Spying Research Paper
They re here for protection
Espionage is spying on other countries to obtain confidential information about the procedures with
government and military. The world has used espionage as a means of knowledge acquisition for
many years, and the United States is well known for use of intelligence agencies for spying,
conducting covert operations, and funneling money to sway foreign elections or to remove foreign
leaders from power. Intelligence agencies were developed to utilize precautionary strategies and
tactics in strengthening security and defense of the country. The history of the United States
intelligence agencies has been to develop a system where terrorists, drug cartels, money launderers
and others are stopped by elite forces. Currently, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Theme Of Hopelessness In The Great Gatsby
Futility and despair are common themes that overwhelm many tragedies. The Great Gatsby is a
novel that follows this precedent. Regardless of the efforts of the protagonist to have happy endings,
unexpected events direct them back into misfortune. In the novel, The Great Gatsby Francis Scott
Fitzgerald creates the tone of hopelessness. This is achieved through the specific use of diction, the
dissatisfaction of characters and unfaithful marriages.
Francis Scott Fitzgerald manipulates the literary device of diction to present the tone of hopelessness
found in the novel. Primarily, neighboring the end of the novel while Gatsby tries to get Daisy to
tell Tom she does not love him. Fitzgerald uses specific words to bring the music to ... Show more

This is why the color blue is associated with it being a cool color. The diction of these musical
pieces adds to the tone of hopelessness in the novel. Moreover, not only does diction display the
hopelessness of the novel, but as well as the dissatisfaction of characters. Throughout the novel the
truth of Gatsby s wealth is unknown with a lot of speculation as to how he acquired such wealth. It
appears to the reader that this mysterious character of Jay Gatsby always existed. The truth to these
questions are reveal when Gatsby explains to Nick His parents were shiftless and unsuccessful
farm people...For over a year he had been beating his way along the south shore of Lake Superior
as a clam−digger and a salmon−fisher or in any other capacity that brought him food and bed.
This description of Gatsby being poor contrasts perfectly with the state Gatsby is in when he first
meets Nick. Gatsby becomes very wealthy, so wealthy that his house is described by Nick as the

Ville in Normandy, with a tower on one side, spanking new under a thin beard of raw ivy, and a
marble swimming pool, and more than forty acres of lawn and garden. it was Gatsby s mansion.
Gatsby legitimately began with nothing and ended up being one of the riches people of his time
and yet he was still dissatisfied with his life because he did not have Daisy. He had everything a man
North Dakota Art Gallery Analysis
There are many places around UND campus where students can enjoy the visual arts. The visual
arts are quiet. They cannot force a person to give them attention, no matter how hard they try.
Images are passive and harmless, since even if a person finds an image offensive or boring all
they need to do is not look at it. Although, if a person keeps their eyes open and stops to smell the
roses, they can have great conversations with works of art. On campus there are three great places to
view artwork; the North Dakota Museum of Art, The Meyer s Art Gallery, and recently the Chester
Fritz Library. All three of these galleries have different mission statements in relationship to the art
they will exhibit. Viewing the artwork here and understanding the differences within the galleries
will strengthen one s mindand educate them on the social values of different organizations.
The North Dakota Museum of Art (NDMoA) is a beautiful, well kept museum with great taste. We
are lucky to have an establishment like that right in the heart of the campus. It is not technically part
of UND property, which in some ways should make it a more attractive destination for students.
Since it is an entity of the state, it does not need to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are currently working with The UND Art Collections and the Art Department on campus to
cycle in new artwork and even have cohesive shows. These shows are open to the public and often
even have receptions with drinks and food like NDMoA and The Meyer s Gallery. The artwork
displayed here does have a few more restrictive guidelines than that of The Meyer s Gallery. Unlike
the Meyer s gallery 18+ images are not allowed. The range of artistic subjects is unlimited beyond
that specification. It is interesting to understand how public places like this, that serve many
purposes beyond displaying artwork, rightfully decide to censor certain
The Importance On Knowledge And The Quality Of Knowledge
Encompassing a significant portion of human knowledge such as the arts and physics, an
academic discipline is a subject area studied in higher education. Over time, knowledge in
academic disciplines naturally develops and advances. Knowledge is what one acknowledges to
be true because one believes in the evidence provided. Knowledge quality can be a measure of the
degree of excellence of the knowledge gained. Personal knowledge can then be of quality when it
is useful to the individual, and shared knowledge, when it contributes to societal wellbeing and
advancement. However, such a definition suggests numerous issues. First, quality can be abstract
and difficult to measure. Next, not every type of knowledge is equally useful to everyone;
knowledge gained doesn t have equal quality for everyone. Additionally, methods of gaining
knowledge are developing, so how can the quality of knowledge found a century ago compare to
ten years ago? Knowledge at any point is considered to be of the best quality at the time, but this
standard of quality changes. What was of quality yesterday may not be so today. If the definition of
quality is evolving as knowledge develops, then can knowledge of enduring quality ever be found?
Considering that some disciplines are more certain than others, withstanding quality depends on the
methods in which knowledge is found in different disciplines. Considering architecture as an art,
personal and shared knowledge are subjective. Where movements are
Pit Bull Stereotypes
Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that all people would be judged not by the color of their skin,
but by the content of their character. Well, I have a dream that all dogs will be judged by their
integrity and not by their outward appearance. Unfortunately, pit bulls have suffered for many years
because people continue to believe the faulty stereotype that all pit bulls are aggressive. The truth is
many individuals aren t informed about pit bulls. Many people believe the pit bullis a specific dog,
but the pit bull describes different dogs including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American
Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and American Bully as stated by the Villalobos
Rescue Center. A typical pit bull is strong, athletic,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pit bulls are amazing family additions, and they are truly loving and protective. According to
researchers at the Institute for Animal Welfare and Behavior pit bulls are harmless. The test
results of 415 dogs were analyzed. The test consisted of a veterinary examination; a learning test;
situations of dog human, dog environment, and dog dog contact; and obedience. Escalation in
aggressive behavior was scored using a scale of 1 7. The results show no indication of
dangerousness in specific breeds, so pit bulls are just as innocent as the common golden retriever
(Schalke et al. 97 103). Another study by a Georgia based group called the American
Temperament Test Society has put twenty five thousand dogs through a ten part standardized
drill designed to assess a dog s stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness in the company
of people. A handler takes a dog on a six foot lead and judges its reaction to stimuli such as
gunshots, an umbrella opening, and a weirdly dressed stranger approaching in a threatening way.
Eighty four per cent of the pit bulls that have been given the test have passed, which ranks pit
bulls ahead of beagles, Airedales, bearded collies, and all but one variety of dachshund (Gladwell
26 28). Studies have proven that pit bulls are loving, friendly pets if they are treated right. My

16 Critical Infrastructure Analysis
The United States critical infrastructures provide the American people with power to fuel their
homes and businesses, water to keep themselves hydrated and prepare food, transportation network
that get them from one location to the next which is efficient, merchandise including food,
communication systems they rely on to communicate with friends and family, and more. The sixteen
critical infrastructures are important to the U.S. and its people that if anything were to happen to
these infrastructures sectors could bring problems to the U.S. Most of the 16 critical infrastructure
facilities are privately owned. The chemical sector produced basic chemical, specialty chemicals,
agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products which
Evaluation Of A Microcontroller Based Three Phase...
Career Episode 1

Introduction
This career episode is the creation of my thesis during my final year in engineering. The project is
called Microcontroller Based Three Phase Induction Motor Controls . This is a partial fulfillment
for my bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering at Mindanao University of Science and
Technology. This project commenced on June 2011 and ended on March 2012. I was under the
supervision of Engr. Reuel C. Pallugna, one of the instructors in the Electrical Engineering
department.

Background
CE 1.1 My main objective was to create a speed and forward reverse control for an induction
motor that can be programmed and can be accessed using the computer in the cheapest but
efficient way. My project is composed of electrical and electronic components. The brain of the
prototype comes from the program of a microcontroller. Most of the assembly of the electrical
and electronic components and the creation of the program are done in the electrical laboratory.
Economy is an important factor in my study. One of its advantages over the commercially
available variable frequency drive (VFD) is it is more economical and can be programmed based
on the user s preference without sacrificing accuracy and efficiency. CE 1.2 It took me 9 months to
complete my prototype. Every month, my thesis adviser checked and tracked the progress of my
project. I did the research and the creation of my prototype during weekdays and I did the technical
writing of my thesis during
Funeral s Funeral
On monday I attended his funeral. This was the hardest day in my entire life, I had lost my
favorite person and had to sit in a cold, hard chair, and watch his casket lower into the ground. He
had a beautiful air force ceremony, with the folding of the flag, and farewell son played on the
trumpet. Hot tears streamed down my face as I realized I would never hear his voice again, smell
his strong Aramis cologne, or be able to give him one last hug. No longer will I get to see him
pull up to my house in his cherry red Jaguar, or hear is over exaggerated stories at christmas. I will
never be able to cuddle up to him while eating his beloved spice drops and watching PGA tour, as
the burning fire embers die down. I will always keep my memories of him close to my heart and
remember his best days. Living a life without my grumppop will be one of the hardest journeys I
will have to go through but because I live in the moment and try to remember every single detail
of our lives together, I know that he will always be with me. How I remember all my experiences
so vividly because I lived in the moment with him.I made sure that i wasn t always on my phone
when I was around him and made sure I was never distracted so that I could give all my time to
him. I know now more than ever that living in the moment is so important because now those
memories i had with him, are all that I have left and I will never be able to experience them again.
