The American Dream For Immigrants
What is the American dream? According to the balance, The American Dream is the idea that the
government should protect each person s opportunity to pursue their own idea of happiness.
(Amadeo) also they say that to U.S. citizens usually relate the American dream to the idea of wealth,
financially security, freedom, and family. But that is to Americans, so what about people in other
countries? According to classroom, Immigrants in the U.S., however, are more likely to define the
American dreamas the pursuit of opportunity, a good job, owning a home and in many cases, safety
from war or persecution. (Lazuk) Americans view the American dream as something harder and
harder to grasps as time goes on. Immigrants, on the other hand, have more and hope and stay
positive and view the American dream as something they have the potential to reach and achieve.
The American dream for immigrants can actually mean that they get to avoid anything that comes in
between them and their dream. Since if they were in their own country they would probably face
many blockages preventing them from succeeding in their dream. Stated in the classroom The U.S.
offers a more flexible social hierarchy than many other countries, presenting more opportunity for
immigrants. Identity formation can be another roadblock. An immigrant can settle in Japan or
France, for example, without ever truly becoming identified as Japanese or French within the society.

China And Japan s Relations Years After World War II
Andres Creager Brother Josephson International Foundations 215 China 25 November, 2015
China and Japan Their Relations 70 Years After World War II For many it may seem easy to
compare China and Japan. From a westerner point of view perhaps this is common but to the
people from those countries perhaps such a comparison is not so pleasant. In fact, both countries
would rather be compared to any other country that to be compared to one another. How could
this be? How could two countries that are so similar, have so much animosity towards one
another? This tension has been going on for a long time. Things took a turn for the worst during
World War II. As we take a look at their relations today, we need to ask ourselves several
questions. How are their relations 70 years after World War 2? How do their relations affect world
economy? And how does this affect the world and countries nearby, such as South Korea? Since the
relation between China and Japan is so rich in history, we need to look back and evaluate what are
the causes for this great animosity. China has greatly influenced Japan with language, culture,
religion, and philosophy. However, Japan moved towards modernization quicker and started viewing
China as an antiquated civilization. A key element in the conflict between China and Japan is the
large perception gaps on many issues. Each country has a different way of interpreting history and
both view themselves as the victim and the other as the aggressor. This issue
Thomas Pain, Abigail, And John Adams
To try and explain how I think Thomas Pain, Abigail and John Adams may have responded to the
dilemmas of ordinary citizens described by J. Hector St. John de Crevecoeur you would have to
understand how I Have interrupted Crevecoeur s writings along with the other authors. The
theme that is carried out in the writings of Crevecoeur is fear and uncertainty that was running
rampant among many of the colonists. You have a family man, Crevecoeur, that is almost
isolated in the rural parts of New York with so many dangers at his door on a daily bases. This in
turn causes him to question the revolution and his loyalties to his native and foreign countrymen.
I believe that all of these feelings and emotions are warranted especially when he is recalling that
he was happy before the unfortunate revolution . Even still, he continues to go back and forth
with different situations and possibilities. In the end Crevecoeur feels to London abandoning his
inferior society . In Pain s writings you can almost hear the distain echoing from the paper
towards not only Great Britain but towards the Monarchy in general. I feel that when Thomas Pain
would read these distresses and he would surely say that all of these fears and doubts should feed
the necessity for freedom and the greater good for the future of America. Pain even outlined a plan
on how to compose a government where The law is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No matter what side you would have taken you would have been considered a traitor to a certain
degree. I would have to say that I would probably have been in the same shoes as Crevecoeur and
others at the initial start of the Revolutionary War. But as the war progressed or as I further
reflected on why the war began I would have to say that I would have ultimately sided with the
The Roman Empire and the Han Empire
After the collapse of the Qin Dynasty in the third century BCE, the Han Empire emerged as a
massive imperial power in the East. Its culture was compiled upon the teachings of Confucius and
ancestor worship. Meanwhile in the west, the Romans solidified their authority as being a dominant
force in the Mediterranean. Both the Roman Empireand the Han Empire were similar in their
governments as they both supported a centralized government. On the other hand, they were
different in the manner of how they dealt with foreigners and outside visitors. Although the Han
Empire and the Roman Empire were alike, there are more differences between them than
similarities. One difference between the two empires were their treatment with foreigners. The
Hans believed that they had no need for them to be included within the Empire. However, this was
not the case for the Romans. The Roman Empire would accept outsiders and tolerate them. The
Empire treated the foreigners well even to the extent of making them citizens. During this time
however, the Romans did not have enough people to go to war. This led them into giving the
barbarians jobs in the military. Soon, there were so many foreign soldiers to the degree that almost
70% of the entire army were barbarians. The reason why the Hans looked down upon the barbarians
was because the Hans thought that the barbarians were inferior. One reason why the Hans thought
that they were so superior was their belief of the Mandate of Heaven. The

5 crazy technologies that could be available by 2025 ( removed HTML )

Over the past couple of decades technology has grown in leaps and bounds. We ve gone from
clunky computers and dial up internet to a computer the size of a phone and 3G internet. We ve
made incredible medical advances, and we re finally also starting to use our technology to better
help our planet, but there s still so much to create, discover, and learn about. Here are some crazy
technologies that could be available by 2025.
1. Widespread use of solar panels
Alternative energy is a huge area of contention for a lot of people. The world currently relies so
heavily on fossil fuels that switching to other forms of energy means that many people will lose jobs.

That will change in the coming years as more people buy electric cars and pressure is put on
cities to create more spots for charging. On top of electric cars, however, we will also have 3D
printed ones. Audi has already created their own 3D printed mini car, but Local Motors is taking
orders for their full sized 3D printed car. There are two different versions of the car that you can
get. One is called the Reload Swim (which is the more regular looking car) and the other is the
Reload Sport (which is the sports car version). These cars will also be electric. Imagine a future
where your car doesn t harm the environment or create air pollution. It could be a whole new world.

3. Everything connected to the internet

If you think that everything is connected to the internet already, just wait until 2025. By 2025,
estimates are that there will be over a trillion different sensors connected to the internet. This will
take the form of clothes and other wearable tech for instance. Approximately about 10% of people
by 2022 will be wearing clothing that connects to the internet. Other things like your home will go
online. You can already view your security cameras and change your thermostat using different apps,
but with voice technology like Alexa from Amazon you ll do all that and so much more
Sexual Assault And Rape During The World Today
Two of the most serious public health and social issues faced in the world today are sexual assault
and rape. Sexual assault and rape are words that are often used interchangeably but the terms have
two distinct definitions. The United States Department of Justice defines sexual assault as any type
of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Sexual
activities that fall under the definition of sexual assault include forced sexual intercourse, forcible
sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape.
Research in this area is extremely important because so many people are uneducated about sexual
assault and rape. For the purpose of this paper, I conducted your research by utilizing news
articles, empirical articles, the FBI s Uniform Crime Reporting Program (UCR) and the United
States Department of Justice and several websites who advocate against sexual assault and rape.
In addition, I included an article and its methodology of the peer reviewed article entitled Trauma
Exposure, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Problem Drinking in Sexual Assault Survivors. In
accordance with the FBI s Uniform Crime Reporting Program (UCR) and the National Incident
Based Reporting System (NIBRS) rape is no longer defined as The carnal knowledge of a female
forcibly and against her will but is now defined as the Penetration, no matter how slight, of the
vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex
Reflection About Racism
In my personal experience, racism is a multi cultural mindset that appears to be based on anything
and everything. Fearing what is different is a human condition and until we can free our minds from
the fear, it will continue to be problematic. Although our country has a very splattered belief of
racism, we can change the way we view ethnicity, skin color, or religious beliefs, there is a strong
inevitability of the world repeating history and war will supervene again.
Recently I had the opportunity to hear a recording of a general from an air force base academy
announcing he has a better idea than showing racial diversity discrimination and proclaimed a civil
discourse, his message is simple, but powerful; If you can t treat someone with dignity and respect
then you need to get out . Nothing is that simple!
Let s subtract the white majority for a moment and say blacks are the majority population. Would it
end there or would the next minority culture revolt against the majority? I would be naïve to think
that love and peace would fall across the land nor will it ever. Racism is very much alive and
present in our world. If you want change in your life; what do you do? With a lot of hard work and
dedication, you can change your life and the power to do so is in you. Despite your culture,
ethnicity, race, gender, and economic standing; I have a better idea! New ideas are vastly different
than Can t we all just get along and very complex, so try to follow along cause it s about to get real
sticky on this paper.
First and far most, we need to have our minority NBA, NFL, MLB, etc. players and management
reach out to the urban areas even more so where the children are growing up in poverty and
economically challenged areas. Our society needs the professionals of today that are minorities to
stand up and proclaim their diversity and use it in a fashion that will infect the minds of these areas
to change. The minds need to open to a larger perspective and an opportunity to do so.
Education needs to be our forefront to begin this extensive revolution. With more minorities getting
an education, we will then in turn have more minorities that are educated and aspire to continue their
education and thus become a

Free Cash Flow, Issuance Costs, and Macroeconomics Risk
Abstract
This research proposal develops a dynamic framework analyzing the impact of macroeconomic
conditions on dividend policy, equity issuance policy, stock prices and agency costs of free cash ow.
I begin by observing that both equity issuance and agency costs both depend on the aggregate
state of economy. However, the existing literature is silent on the stock price dynamics and
agency costs of free cash ow in the presence of macroeconomics risk, issuance and agency costs. I
then describe the expected results: (1) Characterizing the rm s optimal equity issuance and
dividend pay out policies in dierent regimes; (2) Study on the stock price and asymmetric
volatility under the optimal cash management policies in the presence of macroeconomic risk; (3)
The model would probably predict free cash ow problem is more severe in expansion regime than
that in contraction regime. A literature review is added to talk about the prior research in the related
areas. I also analyze the rst best benchmark case where
