The American education system
The American education system requires that students complete 12 years of primary and secondary
education prior to attending university or college.
Although admission policies vary from one university to the next, most determine admission based
on several criteria, including a student s high school course of study, high school Grade Point
Average (GPA), participation in extracurricular activities, SAT or ACT exam scores, a written essay,
and possibly a personal interview.
University students pursuing a Bachelor s degree are called undergraduates, whereas students
pursuing a Master s or Doctoral degree are called graduate students. American undergraduate
students will say they are going to school or going to college, which ... Show more content on

Liberal Arts College or University: offers a university education combining natural and social
sciences as well as humanistic studies. The term college is often used where undergraduate study
is concerned. The college may be part of a university which also has graduate and professional
schools, or it may be an independent institution offering a Bachelor s degree program, with little
if any instruction at the graduate level. (Thus Harvard College is the undergraduate division of
Harvard University; Vassar College, Amherst College and Sarah Lawrence College are examples
of independent colleges, also called liberal arts colleges). The academic status of an independent
liberal arts college may be just as high as a college which is part of a university. Fine Arts and
Music are often taught in the colleges and universities described above, but may also be available
in specialized academies, schools and conservatories. See Directories at the Advising Center for
information. The Bachelor s Degree: Four years of undergraduate study lead to a Bachelor s
degree in Liberal Arts or in Science, a B.A. or B.S. degree, and qualify the graduate to apply for
admission to a graduate school. The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
is awarded on successful completion of a specified number of courses or units and the full degree

Reflection On Reflection Of Jesus
Jesus tells a parable about a man who was going away on a journey. This man was rich and before
he left on this trip, he very generously gave and entrusted some of his property to 3 of his
servants. What he had given to them was no small amount! Yet, the master was also very wise in
his giving. He knew each of these people well and he gave to each of them according to their ability.
He didn t give any servant more than that which he could handle.
For us, who have the entirety of Scripture to look at, it s not difficult to understand what Jesus is
teaching His disciples. He was their master and He was about to leave them on a journey a journey
to the cross where He would rise from the dead and be seated at the right hand of the Father
Almighty! Quite a journey indeed!!!
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away,
the Helper will not come to you. (John 16:7) Even though Christ was leaving the disciples that did
not mean that his work would come to an end. He promises to give his servants everything they
need to carry on in His work. The Helper the Spirit of Truth was to come, and come it did, as a gift
given on the day of Pentecost.
Like the master in the parable, Christ Jesus shows this generosity to all His servants. Just take a
moment and think about all the spiritual blessings that He has poured into your life. You are a
member of his own household His Chruch. By His blood, He has rescued you from the slavery of
sin, death and the devil. In the waters of Holy Baptism, He has made you a royal servant in His
kingdom that has no end. He gives you the Gospel in Word and Sacrament, to strengthen, grow and
mature the gift of faith that He created in you. He has given you many brothers and sisters a
congregation of like minded Christians to admonish, support and encourage you. What we have been
given and entrusted by our Master, Christ Jesus, is likewise no small amount!
What about our Master s generosity in other areas? To each one of us he has given a unique set of
talents and abilities. Some have skills in carpentry, woodworking or construction. Some in cooking
or providing. Some are gifted in music. Some have abilities in teaching,
Opium Poppy Drug Heroin
Heroin Heroin is a widely used opioid, a study done in 2007 by the National Survey on Drug Use
and Health found that there are 153,000 heroin users in the United States, however other studies
have found this number to be much higher (Foundation for a Drug Free World.). Heroin can be in a
powder or liquid form ranging in color from white to black (HeroinFacts. (2017, August)). Heroin
comes from the Opium Poppy plant, once it grows it is cut open and a white liquid comes out of it
which is later turned into Morphineby adding hot water. After the morphine is mixed with other
substances to make the drugHeroin (C. (2016, October 12)). The plant Opium Poppy has been

the person uses they may experience a rush, some may feel tired, can feel foggy (this is from the

breathing can also become dangerously slow (Foundation for a Drug Free World. (2005). When
the drug starts to wear off the person will want to take more of it some withdrawal symptoms are
described as painful flu like symptoms (C. (2016, October 12)). Using the drug for a long time
can also cause the user to have health issues as well such as collapsed veins, infection, and
abscesses ((C. (2016, October 12)). With some of the additives that are put in the drug it can
cause clotting in the blood but some may also cause an overdose (C. (2016, October 12)). While
heroin is an extremely addictive drug there is also different strains of heroin black tar this type of
heroin is cheaper than regular heroin but is stronger and more addictive (C. (2016, October 12)),
cheese heroin is a mix of black tar heroin and Tylenol PM, this too is very addictive and can cause
the users breathing to stop (Foundation for a Drug Free World. (2005), China White is another

I was so exited that I wanted to celebrate but I didn t because we weren t winning yet. As a result I
took the ball out of the goal and took it to the middle of the field to continue with the game. There
was 5 minutes left before the referee blew his whistle to indicate the end of the game. My team
knew that we had a Great chance of winning because in soccer it is often said that when a team
scores a goal, the team that received it will give a 5 minute window to score another goal. This
motivated us more. However, we knew that we had to defend well enough because we could also
lose the game. Time began to move fast. It wasn t until the minute 89th that the game changed. At
that moment I had the possession of the ball. I moved through the field still with the possession
of the ball. I saw that my teammate began to sprint towards goal so I gave him a threw ball. He then
shot the ball but the defender blocked his shot. The ball was going towards me so I had it. I was 10
yards away from the goal but I didn t know what to do with the ball. I heard a lot of people telling
me all sorts of things but at the end I chose to have a shot
Statistical Hypothesis Testing and Key Performance Indicators
Executive summary
The following report aims to analyse and interpret the data set of 200 records regarding the
CCResort. The given information includes booking identification number, income, number of people
per booking, length of stay, age and overall expenditure.
From the booking ID it can be assumed that the selection of data is random, however as it is only
partial information and not the population, the period of time in which the data is selected from
would affect the end results of analysis.
The report is divided into two sections outlining the statistical analysis of data and hypothesis testing
to observe if CCResort have met their 2 major key performance indicators (KPIs)
1More than 40% of their customers stay for a full ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the data it can be established that younger groups are not the target market of the business.
Further analysis of the histogram and the skewness of the data shows that the customers age
distribution is positively skewed, from which we can conclude that CCResort is visited by families
and in general those in the older age groups.

4. Number of people per booking

The number of people per booking of the sample data is analysed with the following statistical
indicators:
Mean3.51
Median4
Mode4
Range4
Standard Deviation1.314741
Variance1.728543
Skewness0.333199

The analysis gives the business a general understanding of which type of customers, in groups or as
families, it is attracting. From the table above, the average number of people per booking is 3.51
while the mode and median is 4 which suggest that the resort mainly attracts families usually with 1
to 2 children.

Further examination of the data through the histogram as shown below showing that 69 out of the
200 bookings studied, that is 34.5% of the data is made out of 4 people groups. Moreover, a total
of 33.5% (67 bookings) of the bookings are made for 2 people which gave an indication that the
resort is also popular with couples. In comparing the data set with the age distribution of the
customer base, it can be argued that the CCResort mainly attracts families with children as well as
couples with no children

Essay On Loss Of Social Security
During the early 1900s, people had to walk and travel extended distances just to communicate and
interact with other people. Now in the present, we can easily contact someone and see what they
are doing with a few movements of our thumbs. This is all thanks to the revolutionary invention of
the phone and the evolution of our phones throughout time. Yes, the phone provides us with
countless benefits but there are also some slight disadvantages to the phone such as the lack of
privacy that comes from using the phone. Fortunate for us, there are ways that we can prevent this
loss of privacy and keep our privacy tight and secured. Ways such as keeping your passwords at a
high level of difficulty, keep track of everything on your phone, and protecting your social security
number. Increasing the level of difficulty on all of your passwords is an essential function to
keeping all your privacy safe and secure. We protect our private accounts with passwords so that we
can be the only ones to access the account. We don t want anyone intruding our privacy and logging

Your social security number is 9 digit identification that represents you. Everyone in the United
States has a social security number which also means that everyone in the United States can be
threatened by people trying to steal this very important set of numbers. In the article, it states that
If SSNs are publicly displayed, as is the case in some educational establishments when posting
grades, for instance, privacy of personal data suffers. The SSN is also at risk of being copied and
used illegally elsewhere. This proves that your social security number can be stolen and be used in
ways that really hurt you and your family. Just like the governments protects their nuclear launch

Essay Cyber Security Departments
As the use of technology has increased drastically over the last two decades, so has our need for
technology. Technology has become a part about our everyday life and we can find technology being
used nearly everywhere. Most systems in today s countries and societies rely on technological
infrastructure; these systems include transport systems, factory systems, power plant systems and
water sanitation systems. This brings on the question of to what extent have governments developed
their cyber securitydepartments, what evidence is there of governmental involvement in malware
attacks and why should governments be concerned about cyber security. Since these systems rely
heavily on technology, governments have to consider them as high risk... Show more content on

Cyber treats of the 21st century
Computer Viruses are increasingly becoming more common, currently 148,000 computers are
infected every day and the World Economic Forum predicts that there is a 10% chance for critical
infrastructure being damaged in the next 5 years . As mentioned earlier most of the critical
infrastructure like power plants and water treatment facilities rely on computer systems, but
more specifically PLC s (Programmable Logic Controllers) 2 and SCADA (Supervisory Control
and Data Acquisitions System) . These control systems have a major drawback, which is that they
are susceptible to attacks by hackers if they are not configured in the correct way. There have been
several examples of systems being compromised. The ICS CERT (Industrial Control Systems
Cyber Emergency Response Team) responded to 198 cyber incidents reported by power plants,
water treatment plants and other critical infrastructure during 2012 . An experiment was conducted
at the Department of Energy s Lab in Ohio in 2007. The aim of the experiment was to prove that it
is possible to hack into the US power grid and shut down diesel generators. The experiment was
called Aurora, the group of computer experts managed to hack into the diesel generator and
Descriptive Essay About State Park
Brook! You will never guess what I saw at the state park in Arkansas with my family. I want to hear
all about it, walk me through it step by step and don t leave any detail out.
OK, I will start with the drive to the park.
The road is secluded, trees encompass you as you drive. The GPS directs that it is only a few more
miles, but in your mind, you know you need to turn around. Then the trees open up to a little
wooden cabin just off the road. After 6 hours in the vehicle, you bust open the door, and as your
legs swing out the door, you can feel a stretch throughout your entire body. Your body was stiff but
now is surrounded by the fresh air. The little cabin is actually a camp store, and in it you find the
assistance and the map needed to tackle the upcoming adventure. The road winds a few more
miles till you near the lodge. Buckled down with water, a camera, and wearing the proper shoes
you walk toward the trail. Something catches your eye, and with a turn of your head, there it is. The
lodge overlooks the most incredible view, one that could only have been created by God. The lookout
reveals mountains of trees with an unforeseeable future. After admiring the beauty, the trail calls
your name. It starts out wide and covered with gravel, without a moment to think the terrain changes.
You start to walk down the mountain, the gravel turned to dirt and with the help from the dew and
rain it was mud, and the mountain grew a little steeper with every breath. Later, you
Modest Proposal And Li Ruzhen s Flowers In The Mirror
There are many uses of satire in Jonathan Swift s A Modest Proposal and in Li Ruzhen s Flowers in
the Mirror. Both of these readings address social issues during the 17th and 18th century and address
them with various uses of satire to help emphasize their thoughts of dislike and carry that to their
readers. Jonathan Swifts A Modest Proposal proposes using poor bastard children as food to help
the poverty level along with other social issues that come with poor women carrying children and
having to take care of them. Li Ruzhen s Flowers in the Mirror gives a very detailed and eye
opening view of a country where men and women s roles in society are reversed to give readers
and insight and different perspective of the social issues of how women are treated. To truly
understand what Jonathan Swift s A Modest Proposal and Li Ruzhen s Flowers in the Mirror were
trying to portray with the use of satire, a deeper look into the time era and social issues of when it
was written needs to be revealed and addressed. Jonathan Swift s A Modest Proposal addresses
issues with the poor Irish peasants that were too poor to feed their families. The British
Government is partially to blame for the poverty as they exploited the Irish and never gave them a
chance to come out of the poverty stricken routine that they were in. Swift has used satire in
writings before, including Gulliver s Travels, to get his points across of social unevenness. In A
Modest Proposal Swift gives the idea of eating

1. I want to be a school counselor because it seems like fun. As a school counselor you have many
responsibilities but they mainly involve children and although I don t personally like children
they do seem to like me for some unknown reason making it easy for me to deal with them, and I
like doing easy work. Counseling doesn t really get paid to well but you can get summers off if
you re good at negotiating though you don t work you don t get paid so you would have to find

As a counselor you are expected to help kids become good hard working citizens, and not thugs or
common criminals like most kids try to be any ways. You have to help them mature and grow into
the people that their parents will one day be proud of and then when their grown up you help their
kids with all of their problems so that this cycle can continue over and over again. 5. As far as I
could find there are three groups that would hire an school counselor and the first is public schools
where they feel it s best if you have a little teaching experience so that if needed they can teach a
lesson to all of the students in a class, administrative offices they would hire school counselors
because they don t trust schools to do it right, private schools you are expected to be perfect if
you re not they don t want you you can t have bad habits you have to be obedient all of the time
and you must tutor some of the students when you have the time. In all three of the groups you
are likely going to here depressing things which for some reason don t bother me, but even if you
are unaffected then you are expected to take action unless you are in a private school then that can

Personality and Development
Personality and development At the age of six I had a lot of problems with both my parents and
teachers. Earlier on I had intimated to my father my desire to one day pursue a career in
professional football. Despite the fact that he never expressed open opposition to this, it appears
to me that he intimated this issue to my mom who had reservations against this. My mom
impressed on me the need for pursuing a career in medical profession in future. I was, however,
adamant, to buy this. My mother reported this to my teachers who talked me against pursuing a
career in professional football in future. Because of the pressure that was exerted on me, I relented.
The memory of the event that happened when I was six years may be completely true because at
that stage in life a child is expected to have begun to understand information entering its sense.
Besides, they have the ability to interact with the world. He can manipulate objects and understand
the permanency of these objects even if they are not within his/her current sensory perception. When
these objects are removed from his or her view s/he can understand that the object still exists. A
child at this stage has the ability to understand that an object continues to exist hence, with regard to
his/her mom, an increased sense of safety and security (Erikson, 1968). At this age a child is also
expected to have developed a capacity to interact with the environment in a more complex manner
through the words and images.
