The, The Former Capital Of China
Nanjing is the former capital of China. During this time, Japan was attempting to take over the
entire nation of China. Japan had developed a plan to take over all of China in a span of just three
months, starting with the invasion of Beijing. What the Japanese weren t expecting was for China to
put down a fight. With frustration arising and their plan falling apart, the Japanese decided to take
over Chinas capital, Nanjing. During the Battle of Shangai, Japanese army forces proved their
dominance over the Chinese and took over in November. Following the Japanses victory at Shangai,
50,000 Japanese soldiers began their march to China s capital: Nanking. Although the Japanese were
greatly outnumbered, they fought to the death, entering the city on December 13, 1937. They were
ordered to kill all captives, leading to 90,000 Chinese soldiers surrendering (The History Place,
2000).
Japan s history leading up to the massacre is an intriguing one. Unfriendly relations between Japan
and China had an uprising in the early 1900 s. Before this rivalry began, Japan, growing as a
military power, had intentions of taking over China and Korea. In 1876, Japan and Korea signed the
Treaty of Kanghwa, making Korea unilaterally independent, weakening China s hold on Korea.
March of 1894, a domestic rebellion by the anti foreigner Tonghak cult against the Korean monarchy
was jointly put down by both Japanese and Chinese troops. After the revolt was quelled, China
proposed the immediate
Hollywood Is Falling Essay
Hollywood is Falling
In 1946, Hollywood reached its highest attendance peak and was having one of its most successful
years. The silver screen was growing in numbers, sales, and was reaching a multitude of cinematic
achievements. They were at the top of the film industry and they believed they were indestructible.
Unbeknown to them, Hollywood was going to face some major issues that would result in their
untimely downfall.
Hollywood, after World War II, had high hopes that their business would blossom even further once
the doors opened in the foreign market trade. Hollywood was dominating the nation and they
believed their films would soon dominate the world. However, their calculations were off and they
did not take into account that foreign cinemas were in serious trouble. In other countries, the
cinemas had to shut down or many were destroyed in the war. The foreign film market was slowly
rebuilding itself and was focused on financially stabilizing its business. Then, when American
movies started pouring into their countries, the foreign cinemas had to place tariffs and restrictions
on box office revenues being sent to America. And they even had to place quotas on the amount of
American films shown in foreign theaters. This caused Hollywood to take a major hit financially.
There were little to no profits earned from the foreign market and Hollywood began to slowly
decline. Overseas markets may have punched the gut of Hollywood, but it was nothing compared to

The Legal Status Of The Islamic State
This paper will examine the legal status of the so called Islamic State with the aim of determining
whether it is recognised as having international legal personality. Focus will also be placed on the
principles of international legal personality more broadly by providing a critique on the
effectiveness of these concepts in international law. Firstly a brief overview of the Islamic Statewill
be given outlining their stated goals and information important to supporting a claim of
international legal personality. Secondly we will look at the classes of established legal persons
before going into each in more detail. A major consideration of this research is whether the Islamic
State could be recognised as a State in international law. In answering this question the traditional
criteria for statehood set out in Article I of the Montevideo Convention on Rights and Duties of
States 1933 (hereinafter Montevideo Convention) will be examined along with the relevant
authorities and recent developments in regards to the criteria for statehood. Secondly the
consequences of where the Islamic State fits within the international legal framework will be
discussed. Finally the essay will look at the effectiveness of the concept of legal personality in
international law particularly in the context of the conclusion reached in relation to the Islamic State.
The writings of a number of authoritative international law academics along with a range of
academic journal articles have been used to
Essay On Bullying At School
Domestic Violence and Bullying at School Impacts IdentityHas someone make you feel bad about
your image or inferior? This is very common and incorrect at elementary schools, and it is being
called bullying which means an inappropriate action or verbal phrase that hurts other students or
makes them feel inferior. Therefore, the school bullyingcould be a consequence of the domestic
violence because sometimes at schoolsome children feel powerful if they repeat the actions or
words that they see or hear at home every day. After a child sees or feels all this violence at home,
they children don t have anidentity because their self esteemgoes down; and they become the
victims of bullying, butfamilies good discipline and communication can decrease bullying at
school. Moreover, domestic violence and schools bullying have a big impact in children s identity,
and the discipline and communication are going to help us to decrease this violence in our
schools. In some occasion, parents are a cause of bullying in the schools because of the domestic
violence against their children at home. The children want to repeat this kind of aggressiveness at
school against their peers. So at school this aggressiveness between children is called bullying.
These bullies want to treat their peers as parents and siblings have been treated them. At school is
the only place where it is easier for children to find someone powerless that they can have control by
intimidation. In the webpage NoBullying
Firearms Legislation across the States and its...
The first question to be considered in this paper is the problem of similarity of firearms legislation
across the states and its correspondence with the federal legislation. The hypothesis is that, no
matter how many acts were enacted by the local governments in addition to the federal legislation,
the general idea of the basic federal legislation on this matter has been preserved, and there are no
dramatic changes in the main approaches. The second question arises whether the diversity of
firearms legislation across the states is a consequence of different rates of gunviolence, the variations
in demographics and cultural backgrounds, or the political influences and conventional approaches
to this problem. The hypothesis of the study is that no increase in gun violence within separate
states with stricter or laxer firearms legislation has been even observed, so there is no direct
correlation between gun violence rates and the adoption of new laws regulating the gun ownership
and sale.
The third research question relates to the most important reasons of such diversity in the firearms
legislation amid the states and localities. It relates to the historical, cultural, and political
backgrounds of different states. The most important effect on this diversity is produced by the
political views supported in separate states, and it is unlikely that cultural and social backgrounds,
demographic factors, or the racial content of the population have sufficient influences.
Comparing The Methods Using Products And Services
M2: Compare the methods used to distribute products and services.
For M2, I will compare the different distribution channel for two different product which is food and
clothing. I will examine how retailer distribute food and clothing and what s required to ensure the
product is at good condition before it reach to customers.
Food
The distribution of food is different from clothing as suppliers will need to bear in mind how to
appropriately handle food products, example, and health inspection in storage room to avoid
transmissible disease. The food distribution is short to ensure that the food is fresh and will not go
out of date. This is why many food retailer like Tesco mainly source their product in UK than
overseas. Food like fruits are perishable therefore retailers need to take in consideration to how
they will handle the product, transport they are going to use, preservation of product and how it s
going to be packaged before they sell it to customers. Perishable food like fresh strawberries or
frozen food are both time and temperature sensitive. This is why business like Tesco usually
temperature in their storage room is at optimum temperature range to maintain quality and freshness
of the food like fresh strawberries.
On the other hand, Tesco also packaged their food like fresh strawberries in a plastic container to
ensure that it s not going to smash. This also enables customers to purchase the product easier as the
fruit is already packaged for them.

Macbeth Negative Influences
Everyone is influenced by their surrounds, and the people they choose to be around, whether they
are being influenced in a positive or negative way, in Macbeth s case, he was highly negatively
impacted. Macbeth starts out as a good person, and good soldier, true to his king, that is, until he
meets the weird sisters who predict he himself will be king. With the influence of his wife, he
becomes treacherous, and no longer has a know between right and wrong. By the end of the story,
Macbethwas so caught up in his ambitious power hungry circle that he ended up getting killed by
it, after having just about everyone turn on him. The negative influences that affect Macbeth for
the worst throughout the story happen to be his wife, his conscience, and three weird sisters he
meets one day in a field; all of these influences change Macbeth for the worst, causing turmoil all
throughout the story. Lady Macbeth urged her husband to do some terrible things, but once it
got later in the story, Macbeth took control over his own actions on his downhill spiral of
treachery. When Macbeth told his wife that the King would be visiting their house, she responded
with ... 0, never Shall sun that morrow see! (Doc B). Not only was this a questionable response,
but she then proceeded to force Macbeth to do the physical murder by telling him he was not a
real man, and once Macbeth had done the deed of killing Duncan, she told him My hands are of
your colour; but I shame To wear a heart so white (Doc C). Lady Macbeth soon becomes
consumed with guilt, Whenever, then, we find that the memory of a criminal act, however
successful and enduring in its issues it may have been, awakens a repentance and moral detestation
so consuming that for no single instant is it absent from the mind of the criminal, and that self
abhorrence leads to insanity and suicide... (von Rumelin). Lady Macbeth was the person who
pushed Macbeth off the edge causing him to turn to even more tyranny, send him on a killing spree,
become full of ambition, and way too power hungry. Not only did lady Macbeth urge her husband
to start his terrible journey by killing the king, later she was too overwhelmed with all the guilt
knowing she was the cause of many murders,

Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet Movie
There were many different aspects of each Romeo and Juliet movie that made all three versions
equally different, exciting, and heartbreaking. First off, in the Zeffirelli version, the producers did
a wonderful job of setting the movie to really reflects how Shakespeare wrote his play. For
example, the movie was set in Verona during the Elizabethan Era, and the clothing and way of
speaking to one another fully represented the old times. Also the casting for this movie was
excellent, Olivia Hussey(Juliet) was very cute and fit the role perfectly, as well as Leonard
Whiting (Romeo) who played his part very well. Lastly, the balcony scene was very sweet and
showed how much Romeo and Juliet loved each other after knowing the other for less than a day.
This movie was made so well that there is really no negative aspects to it. It is simply made and
beautiful, but the Elizabethan language is quite hard to understand, as it should be. Next, in the
movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio, the producers did an excellent job of making Claire Danes
(Juliet) look very young. She wore little makeup and had a flat chest, which represents what a
thirteen year old would probably look like back then. Also, the way they filmed the scene on
Romeo s death was incredible. The producers really showed how someone would react to watching
their loved one die. The only aspect that was a little confusing, was how the characters used guns
called swords instead of actually swords. But in keeping their
