The Rights Of Women In The Iranian Women s Rights
Iranian women are considered second class citizens and are legally bound to obey their husbands.
They are forced to wear the Hijab and follow the Islamic dress code. The Islamic dress code is
enforced by the Morality Police, men who are volunteer members of the Baiji militia. If they are
found to be violating the dress code they are chastised, stoned, and beaten. Women in Iranalso have
no choice in who they marry and the legal age of marriage for women is thirteen while a man s is
fifteen. Iranian men may have more than one wife and may divorce her at any time, giving them
full custody of their children. Iranian women also may not have a passport and they may not travel
without written permission from their husbands. Only seventeen percent of Iranian women are in
the workforce, and they hold jobs in what is considered traditional women s jobs such a nursing,
teaching, and beauticians. The government of Iran has created laws and regulations that allow
businesses to discriminate against Iranian women. These laws make it impossible for women to
hold any senior management jobs in the workforce. In 1936, Iranian Women were given the right to
vote. The Iranian revolution in 1979 turned the clock back for women s rights. In 1979 before the
overthrow, twenty two women were on the parliament and over three hundred women were members
of elected councils. After the revolution, all the women were forced out of working in the
government. In 2013 President Hassan Rouhani

Motion in Space: Velocity and Acceleration

In this section, we will learn about:
The motion of an object using tangent and normal vectors.

MOTION IN SPACE: VELOCITY AND ACCELERATION

Here, we show how the ideas of tangent and normal vectors and curvature can be

used in physics to study:

The motion of an object, including its velocity and acceleration, along a space curve.

VELOCITY AND ACCELERATION

In particular, we follow in the footsteps of

Newton by using these methods to derive

Kepler s First Law of planetary motion.

VELOCITY

Suppose a particle moves through space so that its position vector at

time t is r(t).

VELOCITY

Vector 1

Notice from the figure ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, C=i j+ k

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

Example 3

It follows: v(t) = 2t2 i + 3t2 j + t k + i j + k

= (2t2 + 1) i + (3t2 1) j + (t + 1) k

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

Example 3

Since v(t) = r (t), we have: r(t) = ∫ v(t) dt

= ∫ [(2t2 + 1) i + (3t2 1) j + (t + 1) k] dt = (⅔t3 + t) i + (t3 t) j + (½t2 + t) k + D

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

Example 3

Putting t = 0, we find that D = r(0) = i.

So, the position at time t is given by: r(t) = (⅔t3 + t + 1) i + (t3 t) j + (½t2 + t) k

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

The expression for r(t) that we obtained

in Example 3 was used to plot the path of the particle here for 0 ≤ t ≤ 3.

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

In general, vector integrals allow us to recover:

Velocity, when acceleration is known

v(t )

v(t0 )

t t0

a(u ) du

Position, when velocity is known

r (t ) r (t0 )

t t0

v(u ) du

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

If the force that acts on a particle is known, then the acceleration can be found from

Newton s Second Law of Motion.

VELOCITY ACCELERATION

The vector version of this law states that if,

at any time t, a force F(t) acts on an object of mass m producing an acceleration a(t),
then
F(t) = ma(t)

The Possibility Of A Winter Storm In Klamath County
Winter storms are destructive and dangerous weather events which may include snow, freezing rain,
ice, high winds, and/or temperatures that drop below normal. They have potential to cause damage,
serious social disruption, or loss of human life. The major problems that winter storms cause are
power outages and traffic accidents. There is a very high probability that Klamath County will be
negatively affected by at least one winter stormcondition on an annual basis.
Dust storms occur most frequently in arid regions of Central and Eastern Oregon. With wind speeds
of at least 25 miles per hour, dust storms can spread over hundreds of miles and rise over 10,000 feet.
Airborne dust particles, or dust aerosols, alter the climate by intercepting
Nurture Nature Vs Nature
The debate between nature and nurture addresses genetic and environmental determinants and which
principles apply to our lives. Humans are affected by choices made by others and ourselves and
things that are meant to happen. Free will is being able to make a choice to do something on our
own or to act in certain situations independently of natural, social, or divine restraints (Encyclopedia
Britannica). Social cues are verbal or nonverbal hints that are meant to guide peers about their
actions, the conversation they re having, etc.. Determinismis the belief that everything is naturally
connected to the universe and every event happens because of the events that came before it.
Fatalism follows the belief that events occur naturally, but without influence of humans. Nurture is a
greater influences on our lives than nature; humans operate upon the principles of free will, social
cues, and determinism. Determinism supports the idea that our outcomes are based on our
choices and that they are meant to happen that way. An example of one s deterministic view is
Brent Staples describing the ways he unintentionally frightened those around him in public and he
would go out of his way to make them feel safer. It s unfair that an accomplished college graduate
should be judged for their appearance, as well as anyone else for that matter. Staples had no
obligation to act the way he did, but in order to keep himself safe, he could not pose a threat and get

Olympics Of 1932 Research Paper
On February 4th, 1932, the third winters Olympics were held, but it was the first time it happened
in United States. 1932 was a time of great depression, not the best of times, but despite economic
crisis, Lake Placid, New York, embraced the games. They did not gain monetarily, but the games
were so publicized, that popularity for the Olympic Gamesincreased immensely from it. The
Olympics come as far as 776 BC, from the ancient Greece, but the first official winter games were
held in 1924 in Chamonix France. The sole purpose was to bring the world together in a peaceful
matter, but it was also to celebrate the strongest athletes. The Olympics have carried the torch every
four years ever since, and today over 90 countries participate. On February 4th 1932, Paul Jones, a
17 year old boy scout participated in the festivities of the
Olympics; he did not think anything of it, and never thought to mention it to his own children, until
his fifty years old son discovered a picture in a museum with his father at the 1932 games. No one
would have anticipated the enormous phenomenon that would become of the Olympics. Even at
times of turmoil, it brought solidarity, and also friendly competition between alias and even
adversaries. 17 countries including United States participated in Lake Placid Games; 84 years later,
Nations involve in the games have literally quadrupled. Athletes have become fiercer, more
Strasberg Method Acting
Are you wondering what method acting is all about? Below are the basics of this acting method
developed by Lee Strasberg and practiced at the Actors Studio by actors like Marlon Brando and
Geraldine Page.

1) Relaxation

An important goal of this acting method is to get rid of the muscular tensions that keeps the actor s
instrument from being free. Lee Strasberg believed that actors who can relax their muscles reach a
higher state of concentration and responsiveness.

2) Sense Memory and Concentration

The actor develops concentration through sense memory exercises. As the name suggests, sense
memory is the use of the actor s senses to recall objects and experiences. A beginning method actor
will first explore a real object, like a cup of coffee, through all five senses, then put the object down
and try to recall the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Exploring a place with all five senses.
Exploring a personal object with sentimental value.
Re creating the experience of being in private ( the private moment exercise , a great one to deal
with stagefright).
Eventually, an advanced actor will combine several sense memory exercises at once. Not only do
sense memory exercises help method actors believe in the given circumstances of the scene they re
working on, but they give them great focus and concentration.

3) Emotional Memory

Method actors learn to use sense memory to recall emotional experiences from their past. Instead of
trying to remember or force an emotion, the actor tries to re create with his senses the circumstances
surrounding the experience. For example, he would use sense memory to re create where he was at
the time, what he smelled, the sounds he heard, etc. With practice, an accomplished method actor
can trigger the right emotion for his character within seconds by simply recalling a single smell or
sound.

North Korea Human Rights Issues
North Korea Human Rights Issues
North Korea as we know is a communist country ruled by Kim Jong Un. North Korea has been
under the State s radar from the nuclear threats to their human rights. They spark United State s
interest once more when the previous leader passed away and the duty was passed to the youngest
son and now we are trying to dig deeper into the secrets that North Korea has been hiding away with
the their barred wire to keep others from coming in. With the help of South Korea, we can explore
the different levels of torture, inhumane activates, and the new leadership of Kim Jong Un.

In South Korea, Park Geun Hye administration brought a policy with four principles the first using
North Korean human rights as political tool, the second one is to concentrate on promoting
multilateral, the third one is mainstream about North Korea rights issues with all South Korean
agencies and the last part is that to not lose focus on other domestic issues while focusing on
North Korea (Wolman, pg. 1). In North Korea, the terms of human rights and freedom of speech
is restricted and the numbers of those that are in the prison have been growing. Also the freedom
of religion is non exist as well and the straggling number of prisoner currently there s about 50,000
to 70,000 (Wolman, pg. 2). The type of punishment include forced disappearances, torture, and
public executions and signature evil of the North Korean regime is its system of six Kwan li so
prison camp. Those camps have 150,00 to 200,00 individuals that confined in brutal conditions
and many of the prisoners are family members because of one person s action (Wolman, pg. 2) In
the Protection of North Korean Escapees under International Law article goes in detail of specific
reasons why the number of escapees are increasing. One of the reason why there are so many
escapees is the shortage of food and going back to the 1990s where they had a low food crisis from
the heavy rain in 1995 and when the Soviet

Fat soluble vitamins are nonpolar and can only be absorbed in the presence of fat. They are found
in the fatty tissue after being stored there. Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin. Examples of where
Vitamin A is found in include: dairy products, dark fruits and vegetables, and egg yolk. Water
soluble vitamins are polar, so they dissolve in water. Water soluble vitamins are used right away,
so any excess vitamins are disposed of in urine, unlike fat soluble vitamins witch are stored for a
long time as fat. Our bodies needs vitamin C, which is a water soluble vitamin. It is important that
water soluble vitamins get replaced because they are used up very quickly. Not having enough of
Vitamin A can lead to blindness and the lack of Vitamin C will stop wounds from healing.
Minerals are inorganic and are found in soil and water. Humans need minerals to keep their body
functioning properly so they can grow and develop. Calcium was one of the minerals in my diet.
Calcium is needed to build strong bones and teeth. Not having enough calcium can lead to
osteoporosis, which causes bones to break easily. Iron was also in my diet in my 3 day food log.
Iron is important because it helps red blood cells by carrying oxygen to all parts of the
One Blind Man To Another In Raymond Carver s Cathedral
Cathedral: One Blind Man to Another
In Raymond Carver s Cathedral, the reader is given a glimpse into the precarious relationship
between the narrator and his wife. The narrator shares his heavily critical point of view on the
forthcoming visit from his wife s old friend whom he calls the blind man later known as Robert .
Specifically, Carver uses first person narrative to put the reader in the mindset of the speaker who
although keeps information hidden about himself, eventually exposes a substantial amount of
character through his commentary. Slowly but surely he divulges his tremendously insecure,
stubborn, and immature nature when it comes to matters of exhibiting empathy for others and most
importantly obtaining the emotional depth for it. The narrator seems to have formed a bias against
Robert based off of his knowledge of him through his wife s stories of her time with him. Beginning
the passage, he expresses his disdain for the blind man visiting him and his wife saying he isn t
enthusiastic about his visit and his being blind bothered [him] to the point of outright stating that it
was not something [he] looked forward to (p.209). Maintaining the feeling of an obvious dislike
towards Robert, he goes to explain how Robert touched his wife s face, even her ... Show more

However, as the story closes, the narrator lets Robert guide him, finally allowing himself to be
vulnerable so much, that shortly after he experiences an epiphanic moment insinuating a possible
change of heart. As a whole, the narrator s transition from a cold, rigid, tone into that of alluded

An Admirable Spanish Novel, The Ingenious Gentleman Don...
Don Quixote fully titled The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha is an admirable
Spanish novel by an eminent novelist Miguel De Cervantes. Cervantes wrote many novels while in
prison but unfortunately this was the only reputed work produced by him which became world s
first best seller and literature s great masterpiece. It encompasses the history, culture and the general
environment in Spain. According to me, this magnum opus became so high flying because of its
universally recognized matchless idea of Quixotism (pursuits of lofty romantic ideas) combined with
the innovative characters.
The concept of the novel is simple: Alonso Quijano (Don Quixote), landowner from La Mancha, is
obsessed with his library of chivalrous books. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of the book also pertains with the thought of Quixotism and the invention of
characters. Clearly, it was to undermine the influence of the vain and empty book of chivalry in
order to provide some merry and prudent material for reader s entertainment. Although it is
immaterial he did make a complete end to the further publications of chivalric romances.
Cervantes himself wrote in the latter section of part 1, for chivalry, offers wide and spacious
window through which the pen may run without any hindrance. Perhaps Don Quixote owes his
genesis to these notions of his author. But as Cervantes launches his idealistic and possessed hero
on a career open to public contempt, the possibilities of a many leveled, kaleidoscopic theme may
have become apparent very early if the characters were not incorporated in a beguiling way. The
way he integrated his character not only helped him produce an idealistic effect on his work but also
kept track of his idea of Quixotism in the quixotic environment created by Don Quixote all
throughout the novel
So, while Cervantes is presenting a vivid ideology of Quixotism it was really requisite for him to
have particular relationship with his characters as well as the reader and he did succeed in doing so.
Don Quixote presents this interesting aspect of a novelist who learns and grows in coincidence with
his own characters. As he lives with them and loves them, Cervantes investigates
