Sex Offenders Against Children are an Epidemic Overrunning...
With the creation of computers and Internet, high tech crimes are occurring more frequently than
few decades ago. According to a report made by the U.S. Department of Justice; one in five
children (10 to 17 years old) receives unwanted sexual solicitations online (Knetzger Muraski,
2008). One of this online sex crime against children is known as child enticement. The Florida
statute 847.0135 states that an individual is involved in online child enticement when [...] utilizes
a computer on line service, Internet service, or [...] to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice, or attempt to
[...] a child or another person believed by a person to be a child to commit any illegal act [...]
relating to sexual battery [...] (Knetzger Muraski, 2008). Therefore, online sex crime investigators
must use the appropriate protocols during an investigation to avoid a lawful criminal defense based
on law enforcement entrapment. One of the best approaches to identify, prosecute, and arrest on line
sex offenders (i.e. pedophiles) is to be actively engage in the online chat rooms (i.e. online
enticement sting). In here, high tech crime investigators must follow up a protocol. First, he/she
must create an identity to look like an underage individual. In the chat transcript provided for the
case study, the undercover officer chooses bubblebeth2005 (ITT Technical Institute , 2014). With
this user name, the officer personifies a 12 years old girl. In order to accomplish rapport with the
offender, the
The third Case Study “Home Depot’s Blueprint for Culture...
The third Case Study Home Depot s Blueprint for Culture Change studied Mr. Robert Nardelli s
role as the CEO of Home Depot. He approached management in an autocratic style, which was
criticized by many. This paper will take a look at how Mr. Nardelli s style follows Kotter and Cohen
s model of change.
It seems that Mr. Nardelli and his team followed some of the steps of the Kotter and Cohen s model,
but not all. There are additional steps that his team could have taken to improve morale and develop
the team further.
Mr. Nardelli views management as top down, command and control style, appreciated by efficiency
managers, but criticized by many. He especially focused on process controls and metrics (including
cost and quality). He also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He drew some criticism for this as there was a feeling that he should have promoted members from
inside the team. In addition to bringing in new team members, Nardelli s team chose to cut some
people, which was frowned upon and also criticized (Nussbaum, 2007).
As mentioned, Mr. Nardelli wanted to focus on the military style as the management model (Grow
2006). Out of 1,142 trainees in the leadership program, almost half (528) are junior military officers.
More than 100 of these became store managers (Grow 2006). 13% of Home Depot s 345,000
employees have military experience (Grow 2006).
The key members of the guiding coalition included (but were not limited to):
Nardelli Four star general; criticized; detail focused, demanding, determined (Grow 2006).
Carl C. Liebert III His chief of staff; Graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.; 6 ft., 7
in.; very intense (Grow 2006).
Dennis M. Donovan Home Depot s Executive Vice President For Human Resources; GE alumnus
(Grow 2006).
Frank Blake named chairman and CEO when Robert Nardelli resigned (Jacobs 2007); hired by
Nardelli as Home Depot s Executive Vice President Of Business Development And Corporate
Operations (Saporta 2011).
New Human Resources Managers
As an addition to guiding coalition, the executive management decided to bring in new human
Prothetics Making Humans Robotic
Robots have long fascinated the minds of humans. From bionic men to exoskeletons, robots have
long filled the big screens and small screens. But, these technologies have only recently been
created through prosthetics. The future of prosthetics will combine body, mind and machine to fix
the broken. The goal of the science of prosthetics is to restore the independence of amputees and
allow them to do everyday tasks necessary for life that we all take for granted. In the movie Star
Wars Episode V, Luke Skywalker replaced his amputated arm with a perfect bionic replacement.
During that time, replicating limbs seemed very unlikely.
However, now thirty years later the ideas are now a reality and the advances of this field are now
show cased in what America calls the Bionic Man . The Bionic Man has become the ultimate
showcase of the advances of prosthetics with a working heart, set of lungs and even a human face.
Rex, as they call him, is a million dollar bionic man that was built using all the latest technology
from around the world, which shows how technology is now used to replace missing or damaged
parts of the human body. The incredible bionic man is the world s first attempt at a fully functioning
human robot with organic body parts. Rex can see, walk, talk, grasp objects and hear. Not only this,
but has a fully functioning circulatory system with a heart, lungs, spleen, pancreas and artificial blood
.
To begin, the Bionic Man has one of the most innovative
The Impact Of The Affordable Care Act On Employees
under fifty employees working for them do not have to follow the employer mandate. In the
Obama.net article it is stated that the US Department of treasury reveals that 96 percent of
companies in American are considered small business, this means they do not fall under the
employer mandate. These businesses are not obligated to offer health insurancecoverage to their
employees based on the laws that are in place (Obama.net 2016). Based on the research report
Monitoring the Impact of the Affordable Care Act on Employers by Blavin, Bowen, Blumberg,

If a company offers coverage for their employees and at least one of their full time employee get a
subsidy through the Marketplace the employer will also be subject to penalty that is equivalent
to or less than $3,000 for each full time subsidized employee or $2,000 based on each full time
employee less the first thirty workers (Blavin, Bowen, Blumberg, Buettgens, Gadsden, Rifkin
p.20). The penalties are put in place to make sure companies are adhering to the laws that have
been put in place by Congress. As long as companies are meeting all minimum standards and
guidelines for their full time staff they will not be assessed penalty fees. Blavin, Bowen,
Blumberg, Buettgens, Gadsden, Rifkin, (2014) also reveals that some companies due to the
mandates penalties would be assessed often times they would change their employees from full
time workers to part time workers to avoid being penalized. They also gave examples of
companies such as Home Depot, Trader Joe s and Target, and their reasoning was it made it
possible for their employees to become eligible for subsidized coverage through the Marketplace
without them being penalized (Blavin, Bowen, Blumberg, Buettgens, Gadsden, Rifkin p. 29).
Obamacare.net (2016) talks about the purpose of the mandate was considered a means to make
sure that the larger companies are following all laws and mandates as well as give aide to the
smaller companies by providing tax
The Ethics Of The Accounting Profession
Ethics are a decision one makes in knowing the right thing to do and essentially doing the right
thing. They are the rules of behavior based on one s belief of what is morally good and bad. A
person may hear the word ethics and immediately think of government or the law. Not only does
ethics have a role in government, it also plays a major role in business, including accounting.
Schroeder, Clark Cathey (624) states that the reason for a high level of ethical conduct is the need
for public confidence in the quality of services provided by the profession. Ethical conduct not only
encourages a high standard of performance; it also encourages a high quality of professional service.
Enrons financial scandal put a huge damper on that confidence. The Enron scandalmade the public
aware and conscientious of what could happen when dealing with unethical individuals. Since then,
the public has educated themselves and are continually becoming more informed. Ethicsin the
accounting profession is not going away, it will only continue to change as business transaction
change and become more complex.
Although some behaviors are legal they may not be held as ethical. For example, Henry Blodgett, an
analyst for Merrill Lynch, publicly recommend certain technology stocks, although he knew they
were a sham (Smith, 2012). His recommendation of these stocks was unethical, but completely legal.
One difference between the court system and judging ethical standards is the court system

optimize the product value chain, reduce costs and maximize the benefits of the two sides.
The emergence of large components manufacturers. With the advances of manufacturing, more and
more components manufacturers have come into our eyes, which make Apple, have more choices to
look for the qualified suppliers. Meanwhile, in order to sign a contract with Apple, there must have
competition between suppliers, which enable Apple to reduce product costs and improve gross
margins.

long time there are thousands of homogenized digital products. Consumers have already had serious
visual fatigues. But at the same time, Apple did a good job on innovation and grasping consumers

It s six o clock in the morning and I m standing in a wetsuit, holding a fiberglass board, on the soft
sand at Jaws in Maui. I m at one of the most famous beaches in Hawaii and I am here about to surf
twelve foot waves. These waves are so powerful that they can crush the body if one falls off a surf
board or one can be taken far out into the ocean by the extremely strong rip currents that follow
these waves. The loud roar of the waves crashing on the shore with the power of a great white
shark filled my ears and all that I could think of was, How am I going to face this mysterious
creature?
The conditions are perfect today the wind direction, tide and size of the waves are a surfer s
paradise. I know, at this moment, that I will never experience ... Show more content on

I grew up loving everything about the ocean because I spent so much time playing and swimming
in the sea and during all that time, I have never come across waves of this size with this amount of
wild seahorses. The first time I surfed, I couldn t even position myself to catch the wave, let alone
stand on the board without falling back into the ocean. It looked so easy but was much harder to
control the surfboard than what I expected. I was, however, determined to surf properly and after
trying many times, I eventually succeeded and I loved it so much that I could not stop.
Over the past few years I have surfed thousands of waves and become addicted to the high that
one gets when surfing. However, I have not yet surfed waves the size of these ones that I see
today. This causes me to become anxious but suddenly the rush that I am addicted to fills my
entire body and I start to paddle in front of this rising wall of water. I know that I have timed my
line correctly and that all the years of training and practice have prepared me for this particular
moment as I keep paddling for this enormous
The Effect Of Pyramids On Ancient Egyptian Life
Introduction
Pyramids, which were built over 4000 years ago, are impressive structures built by ancient Egyptians.
Building pyramids had to do with religion. Also, building them had an effect on ancient Egyptians
lives. We can learn many things about ancient Egyptians from their pyramids. Pyramids, the result of
Ancient Egyptians hard work, were built as tombs for their rulers, and can help us learn about this
ancient civilization.
What Was the Purpose of a Pyramid? Pyramids served as tombs for the ancient Egyptian pharaohs
and queens. According to Ducksters.com, The pyramids were built as burial places and monuments
to the pharaohs. Within the pyramid were the tombs, holding the pharaoh. Technology Student.com

First of all, Egyptians were hard workers and they were devoted to their pharaohs. According to
Naomi Millburn, The construction of pyramids in ancient Egypt affected many people s lives in their
exhaustive construction. Ancient Egyptians worked hard for their pharaohs. We can learn that they
were devoted to their pharaohs, and hard workers by looking at the pyramids. Pyramids also tell us
that the ancient Egyptians were skilled in architecture. According to History.com, Built during a time
when Egypt was one of the richest and most powerful civilizations in the world, the pyramids,
especially the Great pyramids of Giza are some of the most magnificent man made structures in
history. Their massive scale reflects the unique role that the pharaoh, or king, played in ancient
Egyptian society. Pyramids are admired by people around the world. Also, it is still a mystery how
they constructed pyramids. (Naomi Millburn) Egyptians were dedicated to their religion, and as
stated before, pyramids were built as tombs for pharaohs/queens. According to Ducksters.com,
Deep inside the pyramid the pharaoh would be buried with all sorts of items and treasure that he
may need to survive in the afterlife. Afterlife was a part of ancient Egyptian religion. Therefore
Egyptians would work hard to build pyramids and tombs for their pharaohs.
Conclusion
There was a big effect on ancient Egyptians from pyramids because it was exhausting building them.
However, pyramids help us learn that ancient Egyptians were hard workers, devoted to their
pharaohs, they were skilled in architecture, and ancient Egyptians were dedicated to their religion.
Ancient Egypt s pyramids have left a legacy of impression, wonder, mystery, bewilderment, and
Separating Boys And Girls Essay
Does separating boys and girls help students perform better in school? No I do not think that boys
and girls learn better separated. Over one hundred twenty schools offered at least one single sex
class. They offered at least one single sex class because they think that kids are going to learn better
with the same gender. To me separating boys and girls is just like separating blacks and whites. No,
I do not think they should separate boys and girls.
I also think if boys and girls are separated then they will not know much about the other sex. Boys
may not know how bossy or sensitive girls are. Girls may not know how much boys joke around
or stink. In my experience boys and girls in the same classroom positively influences all students.
Both genders positively influences all students because some girls feel better having guys as
friends and some boys like have girls as friends. In my vision boys and girls learn in the same way.
Both genders are always trying to impress each other by doing better in school. Separating genders
leads to a lack of maturity since they re not encouraged to interact.
Girls and boys may distract each other but it s their personalities that distract them not their gender.
They may distract each other by playing around, talking a lot, or their looks. Females and males
have the same brain functions. I believe they would learn the same. If you were to separate them by
their gender I would consider it to be discriminate where one gender believed to be
