Edward Snowden Leaks
Most people would feel betrayed. Recently, a situation similar to this happened except that it was
on a much larger scale. Edward Snowden was a technical contractor for the NSA and the CIA. He
recently released personal information about millions of people in order to prove that the US
Government is recording the communications of its citizens. This traitor violated the trust the
CIA, NSA, and his bosses had in him to keep this information a secret. In addition, he also put the
safety of the U.S. citizens in danger. Snowden was supposed to keep secrets as a technical
contractor at the CIA and the NSA. As an employee he was obligated to listen to his bosses even if
he disagreed. This time, he did not! By deciding to unilaterally leak secret... Show more content on

The exposure of the PRISM program under which the NSA monitors foreign terrorists on the
Internet, as well as the leak of a top secret court order requiring Verizon to share calling data with
the government, are incredibly damaging to national security. These leaks give terrorists
information they did not have about our collection activities, columnist Marc Theissen of the
Washington Post said. What this means is that Edward Snowden spread vital information about
the U.S. government. Foreign terrorists now know they can be monitored in the U.S. So the
terrorists will now most likely strategize a way to avoid being heard and watched.. Since
Snowden leaked this information, the job of the U.S. Government to protect its citizens has gotten
harder. To wrap it all up Edward Snowden is a traitor. He has violated the trust the CIA, NSA, and
his bosses had in him to keep this information a secret. This means he has put us citizens in danger.
Some might think that his spreading of this information is heroic. However, now that this
information has been released there is a greater possibility that it could fall into the wrong hands
and families would be put in danger of terrorist attacks. Now he is on the run and the U.S.
government must catch him before he and the information he leaked are captured by terrorists and

Analysis Of As You Like It
As You Like It , is a Shakespearean comedy that is believed to have been written around the 1600
s. This play holds onto many strong motifs throughout the entire play. One of the most obvious
motifs would have to be the concept of exile. Many of the characters in the play have been
intimidated away from their homes, while others left voluntarily to live in the forest of Arden. This
separation from their homes in the court aids in helping Shakespeare s major themes come alive.
The major themes evident in Act 4 Scene 3 is the malleability of humans through experience, the
effects of love, and a comparison of city life to country life. It is important to note the malleability of
humannature through an individual s life experience. According to some psychologists, what is
built in [to humans] is this capacity to learn and change according to the world [they] find
[themselves] in (Dweck, par. 3). This is supported in Shakespeare s play through the character of
Oliver. At his home in the court, Oliver finds himself blessed with the riches and power that his
father handed down to him. This inheritance is known as the right of primogeniture. The system in
which a father s riches and title is handed down to the eldest son, leaving the rest of the siblings
with nothing. Oliver is a petty and jealous individual who treats his younger brother Orlando as if
he were just another servant. The root of this hatred is made clear in Oliver s monologue at the end
of act one scene one, in
Essay On Animism And The Contributions Of Thales,...
In the early times, before the beginning of human civilization and development of philosophy,
people believed in the idea that Gods, who basically controlled every individual aspect of human
existence, controlled the world. Some primitive people believed in the idea of Animism, or
Hylozoism. (The belief that everything in the universe, especially material objects, have some kind
of soleor is a living being.) These people believed that rocks, trees, and water had some kind of sole.
Animism can still be seen today in Native American tribes as well as the Aboriginal peopleof
Australia.

Although the Greek culture didn t believe in Animism, an Ionian named Thales

Anaximander believed in the theory of apieron. Apieron is the unlimited, indeficit, indestructible
substance out of which individual things are created with and destroyed.
Although he believed apieron was real, he also believed that it was unexplainable. It would be like
saying that the letter W explained the alphabet. He also believed that the formation of the world was
due to the separation of opposites, and that the opposites were constantly at war. With these factors,
he believed that moderation is the key to success.
Although some of his theories were proved wrong, Anaximander was the first person to brush the
theory of evolution and was the father of Astronomy and cosmology. Many of
Anaximander s accomplishments are still regarded today.

Anaximenes was another Greek philosopher who lived around the time of
Anaximander. He was Anaximander s most notable student, but disagreed with
Anaximander on many levels. Anaximenes disagreed with the notion of apieron, but went back a
generation of thought to Thales ideas on the substance of which life is made.
Anaximenes ideas were much different from the ideas of Thales because Anaximenes believed that
air was the ultimate substance, rather than water or apieron. Anaximenes introduced the ideas of
condensation and rarifacation. To prove this theory he said that when air is rarified, it becomes

Death Penalty
The death penalty is one of the most controversed punishments in the United States. According to
The Death Penalty Information Center, 88% of criminologist do not believe the death penalty is an
effective deterrent. According to deterrence theory, criminals are no different from law abiding
people. Individuals settle on their choices taking into account the net expenses and advantages of
every option. There is a basis provided for analyzing how capital punishment should influence
murder rates, according to the deterrence theory. Throughout the years, a few studies have shown a
connection in the middle of executions and reductions in homicide rates.
According to the website article The Heritage Foundation, In early research by Isaac Ehrlich, he
found that the death penalty had a strong deterrent effect. Since his research was debated by other
scholars, he researched additional information that reconfirmed his findings, which also was
reconfirmed by professor Stephen K. Layson. Recent research shows that various studies over the
years demonstrated that the death penalty saves lives. They came about this research by using
social science tech and panel data sets. What the panel sets do is observe multiple units over several
periods. The addition of multiple data collection point gives the results of capital ... Show more

Persuasive Essay On The 15th Amendment
Following the American Civil War, the bloodiest armed conflict on US soil, slavery had been
outlawed from the US. It had taken the US until January 31, 1865, less than two hundred years ago,
for slavery to be abolished. Yet, it was still abolished, albeit, later than many other nations throughout
the world. It had taken yet over another year for the fourteenth amendment to be passed in June 13,
1866, making all former slaves into citizens. But, perhaps the greatest and most important right of
all, the right essential to any democracyor republic, the right to vote, was given to former slaves
through the fifteenth amendment. The fifteenth amendment was ratified on February 3, 1870, and it
s contents stated, The right of citizens of the United Statesto vote shall not be denied or abridged by
the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. The
amendment was one of the first major steps in ensuring racial equality throughout the United
States. If a male former slave was someone who was just a slave ten years prior, was now able to
vote to represent himself and his best interests. The 15th amendment was actually passed by
different portions of the government on different dates. For instance, on February 25, 1869, the
House of Representatives voted one hundred forty four in favor against forty four who opposed it.
Meanwhile, in February 26, 1869, the Senate voted thirty nine in favor against thirteen who opposed.

Adult Mentoring Program Analysis
Mentoring young people has mainly been analysed as a one to one relationship between an adult or
older young person with more experience and a younger person. Commonly with the intention of
improving the adolescent to adult transition by giving ongoing support. (Phillip and Henry.1996)
Although some of the content and aims have a possibility of over lapping, mentoring can be
distinguished from other ways intended to help young people. An example of this is while coachinga
young person has the i8ntention of improving a young person s performance in a specific area,
counselling on the other hand provides emotional support and promotes a therapeutic relationship
within a formal setting. Both counselling and coaching can be described as mentoring.... Show more

They studied eighty mentoring schemes supported by the youth justice board and their findings
pretty much back up the findings of the studies in America twenty years ago as well as young
people who were in a mentoring relationship for longer benefited the most, female young people
benefited more than male young people even more so when mentored by another female and when
young people are mentored they are more likely to partake in education and then enter employment.
However this study also highlighted that these mentoring programmes did not decrease the
consumption of drugs or alcohol, there was no improvement on challenging behaviour and over half
of the young people referred to the scheme refused to partake. In this study they state that mentoring
is cost effective but purely because the majority of mentors used are volunteers and do not receive a
wage and if the mentors were to be on a pay roll the programmes would not meet cost efficiency.
They summarise their findings by stating that the outcomes of their study were more negative than
positive therefore they would not support a growth in mentoring schemes around the United
Kingdom. As this study is relatively recent and looked quite a large sample of young people, it can
be suggested that it is quite significant in the study of mentoring young
Essay On Human Resource Management
Human resource management is the process of utilizing human resource efficiently and effectively
to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. Human resource is the most important
resource of an organization compared to other resources since the success of the organization mainly
depends on its people. Human resource managementis a part of the process that helps the organization
to achieve its objectives once the general direction strategies have been established, the next stage is
to formulate company s objectives and develop them into action plans. The objectives cannot be
attended without the resources which of course include people. Human resourcesmanagement should
be part of the process which determines what people are required, how to use them, how to get them
and how to manage them. This should be fully integrated with all other management processes.

Not to worry, since this is not too complicated but involves a bit more creativity and imagination.
Prepare some water, some fabric paint and a few sponges. For more simple shapes, use regular
sponges (square, circle) but if you want to take your roller blind decoration a step further, purchase
some sponges in different shapes like flowers, animals, fruits or simply make some on your own.

You could probably do this while the blind is still hanging, but we would suggest you take it down
to make your work smoother. Dip the sponge into some previously determined color and swiftly
press it onto the blind surface. Make sure you apply enough color, since you do not want your bunny
shape to turn into nothing more than a smudge. Repeat the process as many time you like, changing
the colors and shapes and leave to dry.

Optimal Temperature Of The Fungal Amylase
Ramos 2

Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to come up with the optimal temperature of the Fungal Amylase,
Aspergillus oryzae, and the Bacterial Amylase, Bacillus liceniformis, as well as to identify if
different temperatures would indeed affect the enzyme amylase by either slowing down the process
or denaturing the enzyme. Enzymes are complex proteins, they can be thought of as a substance
fabricated by a living organism that behaves as a stimulus, otherwise known as a catalyst, to cause a
specific biochemical reaction. This experiment was performed by keeping the amylase mixed with
starch at different temperatures, either in the heated water or in the ice bath. The temperatures varied
at either 0, 25, 55, or 85 degrees Celsius. After a certain amount of time we would then move the test
tubes containing the amylases and position them on a plate where iodine was then added to the
starch amylase solution. We would do the same thing at different time intervals to see exactly how
the enzyme catalyzed the starch. The hypothesis of this experiment was thought to be that the higher
the temperature the slower the enzyme would then hydrolyze the starch. Both the Fungal and the
Bacterial Amylase had an optimal temperature of 55 degrees Celsius as shown by our concluded
results in this
Characteristic Of Max Weber
Max Weber is a german sociologist that created a set of characteristics of rational social
organizations and bureaucracy as a way to analyze and measure organizations. The organization that
will be applied to these sets of characteristics will be the Target company. First, will be the five
characteristics of bureaucracyand how it appears through the Target company. The first characteristic
of bureaucracies is a hierarchy. Target s chain of command in each store has the store team leader
as the highest position that is followed by executive team leaders, team leaders, and then team
members. Assets Protection, human resources, and property management technicians could
typically be considered above team members and below the team leaders. The second
characteristic is a division of labor. Each Target location is separated into different departments
with specific responsibilities and specialties. There is beauty, sales floor, assets protection, price
and presentation, food service, food and beverage, logistics, front of the store, and human
resources. A few of these departments break down to even more specific jobs. Sales floor is divided
into softlines (clothes), hardlines, and electronics. Food service is broken into Starbucks and the
Target Cafe. Now team members must train in other departments of the store before they actually
can work in different areas because each department uses different skill sets. The next characteristic
is written rules and regulations that are
Margaret Sanger s Revolution For Women s Rights
Margaret Sanger s Revolution for Women s Rights Today the world s population consists of more
than seven billion people living on Earth, half of which are of men and the other half women. Now
imagine living in a world where those seven billion people didn t have rights connected to their own
bodies. In the field of reproductive rights, imagine if there was no form of contraceptives, birth
control, or any type of sexual education information to the public. The world would be in shambles
being over populated beyond capacity for life on Earth. This have might have been the case if it
weren t for the advocate in her field called Margaret Sanger. Sanger was a wife, mother, nurse,

Upon becoming a nurse she took care of many poor families in the urban overcrowded streets of
families that lived in New York. One particular case she always told was the story of Sadie Sachs
which influenced her to really do something about women s rights and control over their own
bodies. That influenced me to pick her to write and research about her. As the story went Sanger
said, Sadie had developed an infection from an illegal abortion and begged Sanger and the doctor
to tell her how to prevent another child, thinking it would kill her. The doctor scoffed at her
remark and promptly left, leaving Sachs with Sanger. She begged for her to tell her a way to
prevent conception, but Sanger could not tell her anything, as it was illegal, (Katzive, 2015, p.
128). She felt enraged by how she couldn t simply help a women in need of wanting to learn how
to prevent herself from having any more children. After the incident she met her future husband,
William Sanger and together they had three children. Not only did William give Margaret the gift
of children and a family, but also gave her the opportunity to finally share her knowledge of the
topic pertaining to women and the use of contraception. Since William belonged the Socialist Party,
Sanger became affiliated with The New York Call. This was a socialist newspaper where not only
did she write a column on birth control, but later she got an opportunity to create her own newspaper
which was called The Woman Rebel.
