(1) If 24 men can finish a work in 10 days, then find the number of
days required to complete the same work by 30 men?

(2) A can do a work in 3 days. B can do the same work in 6 days and C can do the same
work in; 7 days. If they work together, how many days will they take to complete the
work?

(3) A can work 5 times faster than B and takes 60 days less than B
to complete the work. In how many days do A and B
individually complete the work?

(4) P and Q can do a work in 12 days. Q and R can do the same work in 16 days, and R
and P can do it in 24 days. Find the time in which P, Q and R can finish the work
together.

(5) P can do a work in 30 days. Q is 25% more efficient than P in completing the same
work. In how many days will Q complete the work?

(6) If 3 men can do work in 2 days and 4 boys can do the same work in 6 days, then in
how many days will the same work be completed by 8 men and 8 boys?

(7) Sita and Gita can do A work in 20 days and 25 days,


respectively. Both begin together but after a few days, Sita leaves. Then Gita finishes the
remaining work in 10 days. After how many days did Sita leave?

(8) When P alone does a work, he takes 25 days more than the time taken by P and Q
working together to complete the work. But Q alone takes 9 days more than the time
taken by P and Q working together to complete the work. At what time, do P and Q
together finish this work?

(9) Raj can build a house alone in 16 days but Suraj alone can build it in 12 days. Raj and
Suraj work on alternate days. If Raj works on the first day, the house will be built in how
many days?

(10) Pipe P can fill a tank in 38 hours. Pipe Q alone can fill it in 19 hours. Pipe R can
empty the full tank in 133 hours. If all the pipes are opened together, how much time
will be needed to make the tank full?
(11) A tap can fill a tub in 24 hours. Due to a leak at the bottom of
the tub, the tap fills the tub in 36 hours. If the tub is full, how much time will the leak
take to empty it?

(12) Two pipes M and N can fill a tank in 22.5 and 15 minutes, respectively. If both the
pipes are opened simultaneously, how much time should N be closed so that the tank is
full in 18 minutes?

(13) Pipe A can fill a tank 5 times faster than Pipe B and takes 32 minutes less than Pipe
B to fill the tank. If both the pipes are opened together, then in how much time the tank
would be full?

(14) A boy increases his speed to 9/5 times of his original speed. By this, he reaches his
school 30 minutes before the usual time. How much time does he take usually?

(15) Ramesh sees a thief at a distance of 80 m. Ramesh starts chasing the thief who is
running at a speed of 5 m/s. Ramesh is chasing him with a speed of 7 m/s. How much
distance does the thief cover before Ramesh catches him?

(16) P, Q and R are in a cycle race of 4500 meters. P cycles twice as fast as Q. R cycles
1/3rd as fast as Q. R completes the race in 45 minutes. Then where was Q from the
finishing line when P finished the race?

(17) Ajay and Vijay travel from A to B at 17 km/hr and 19 km/hr, respectively. A is
72km away from B. Vijay reaches B first and returns immediately and meets Ajay at C.
Find B to C distance.

(18) Surendra travels from home to office by car. With an average speed of 50 km/hr, he
is late by 30 minutes. But when he comes at a speed of 60 km/h, he reaches his office 10
minutes earlier. How far is his office from his home?

(19) Pratik travels 96 kms at a speed of 16 km/hr using a bike, 124 kms at 31 km/h by
car and another 105 kms at 7 km/h in a horse cart. Then, find his average speed for the
entire distance travelled.

(20) Rohit covers one-fourth of the total distance at 20 km/hr, one-fourth at 10 km/h
and the rest of his journey at 80 km/h. Find Rohit's average speed for the whole
distance.

(21) A walks from Jammu to Delhi and at the same time B starts walking from Delhi to
Jammu. After passing each other, they complete their journeys in 361 hours and 289
hours, respectively. Find the ratio of the speed of A to that of B.
(22) The Income ratio of Ramesh and Suresh is 5:6. Their spending ratio is 7:9. Ramesh
saves Rs. 4000 and Suresh saves Rs. 3000. What is the spending of Ramesh ?

(23) 285 is the summation of 3 numbers. The ratio between the 2nd and 3rd numbers is
6:5. Ratio between the 1st and 2nd numbers is 3:7. The 3rd number is?

(24) Ratio of two numbers is 3:8. On adding 5 to both numbers, the ratio becomes 2:5.
Which is the smaller number out of the two?

(25) The price of each article of type P, Q, and R is Rs. 300, Rs. 180 and Rs. 120
respectively. Suresh buys articles of each type in the ratio 3:2:3 in Rs. 6480. How many
