Medical malpractice in Pakistan

Medical malpractice is defined as professional negligence by act or omission by a health care

provider in which care provided deviates from accepted standards of practice in the medical
community and causes injury or death to the patient, with most cases involving medical error
(Medical Malpractice).

Although, doctors are solely held responsible for any medical malpractice in Pakistan s hospitals, but
other factors such as the role of the hospital administration towards that medical error, the
pharmaceutical companies and ignorance of the patient himself ... Show more content on

Although private hospitals have come to the rescue but most of the Pakistani population cannot
afford it as they live below the poverty line. The charges of private hospitals are very high so
people prefer to go to public or civil hospitals where they are forced to stand in long lines and
facilities are also not up to international standards. In public hospitals there is a shortage of doctors,
so the ratio of patient to doctor is very high and more often than not the doctors are unable to attend
to these patients. There are not enough nurses to see such a large number of patients. Even if there
are nurses they are not fully trained and often cause mixing error. Mixing error takes place when the
medical staff such as nurses mixes the medication of one patient with the other. This may lead to
serious problems and can even lead to death.

Other than this there is no proper documentation in Pakistan s hospitals. Documentation is essential
regarding each and every detail e.g. the number of visits made to the doctor and the dates, the
various reports of patients. The absence of any such documentation leads to many errors as a
proper follow up is mandatory and if the hospital would not keep record of all this then effective
treatment cannot take place. If the patient has been prescribed a certain course of medicine and there
is no previous record of that. This can lead the patient to repeat the course which might have serious
side effects. So doctors

Nathanael Greene: Ingenuity and leadership

The American Revolution was a 7 year war that we won because of many different people who
were able to lead us to freedom, one of those people, is General Nathanael Greene. Greene is one of
the reasons the American Revolution succeeded, He was vital to the creation of the United States of
America. Greene was a genius at warfare tactics and strategy and with the knowledge necessary he
drove the British out of the southern Colonies of the United States. He was raised as a Quaker, but
left the group in order to aid the Patriots cause however he could, including joining the patriot army.
Greene eventually became General and was essential to the Independance of the United States.

It took hard work and people willing to do that hard work for the future of this country. Nathanael
Greene was one of those people. Nathanael Greene defied his religion as a Quaker, he worked his
way through the ranks to eventually become General, he fought alongside General George
Washington becoming one his Washington s most trusted men. He was Quartermaster for the
American army, He developed and executed a new military strategy expertly, and he ultimately got
the British out of the south. For 44 years, Nathanael Greene served his country until the day he
died. He was a General, a Quartermaster, and one of Washington s most trusted men. His ingenuity
lead to the hit and run tactic that lead us to win the Revolutionary war. And his leadership was truly
shown by being ables to guide his men with his new tactic to carry it out and do so expertly. These
qualities make an intelligent, initiative taking person. But it takes a special kind of person to do
something with those qualities. Nathanael Greene was that special person, his leadership and
ingenuity led us to victory against the British army, the most powerful army in the world. Someone
with those qualities, Nathanael Greene played a major part in making America. Without Nathanael

Film Analysis Of The Movie Life Is Beautiful
Ever since the Holocaust happened there has been a variety of movies and books portraying this
massive genocide that changed individuals lives. One of these movies that portrays the Holocaust
is Life is Beautiful that was directed and acted by Roberto Benigni in 1997. This particular film
won Oscar awards and it s unlike any other Holocaust movies because of its drama, romance, and
comedic genre. It tells the story of a man named Guido that comes to Arezzo, Italy and works as a
waiter for his uncle Eliseo. Guido falls in love with Dora, a school teacher who he calls Princess
each time he sees her. Eventually, Guido is able to charm Dora despite her being engaged. Five
years later they have a son named Giosuè, but at this point in time... Show more content on

Likewise, both stories have their similarities, but they also have their differences in the way they
survived the Holocaust.
Life is beautiful and Maus have a common motif of a Father and Son relationship because the
stories humanizes these individuals. In a scene, Guido has came back from doing hard labor and
asks his son if he had played with other kids, but Giosue tells him that they didn t know about the
game or the points. Guido answers by saying, Did you fall for that? They re as sly as foxes. They
want to beat you! Are you joking? There s no tank? Don t you believe them! How many points
did we get today?Fifty. Forty eight. They took two points away from me because... I tripped
while I was... playing hopscotch (Benigni 43). This particular scene demonstrates how Guido tries
to keep his son s innocence by constantly blinding him from the harsh reality they are in. As a
father, it is hard for him to lie about the camp, so he wants Giosue to think that those kids are
trying to trick him so he can lose. He shows desperation to keep his son alive and says to him that
he lost some points because of playing hopscotch, making the game seem realistic. He not only
creates the game to keep his son innocence but to also keep him alive. The purpose of the game is
to win a huge tank while those who lose are sent home. But in reality the losers end up dead, as for
the winner, wins a chance at life. The
Ulrich Beck World Risk Society
Ulrich beck :world risk society

What is risk society and how did it emerge?

Risk society means that we live in a world out of control. There is nothing certain but uncertainty.
But let s go into details. The term risk has two radically different meanings. It applies in the first
place to a world governed entirely by the laws of probability, in which everything is measurable and
calculable. But the word is also commonly used to refer to non quantitative uncertainties, to risks that
cannot be known. When I speak about risk society, it is in this latter sense of manufactured
uncertainties. These true uncertainties, enforced by rapid technological innovations and accelerated
societal responses, are creating a fundamentally new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other side of the admitted presence of danger is the failure of the institutions that derive their
authority from their purported mastery of such danger. In this way, the social birth of a global
danger is as much unlikely as it is a dramatic, indeed traumatic, world shattering one. In the
experience of shock radiated by the mass media, it becomes recognizable; to quote Goya: the
slumber of reason creates monsters.
Fear of various dangers, hazards, and the unknown have constituted the most basic of human
experiences, drives, emotions, etc. In your book Risk Society, you argue that the driving force in
the class society can be summarized in the phrase: I am hungry! The movement set in motion by
the risk society, on the other hand, is expressed in the statement: I am afraid! The commonality of
anxiety takes the place of the commonality of need. Could you say more about fear as a driving
force in risk society? How does fear in a risk society differ from its formulations in other kinds of
societies for example, feudal agrarian societies? Do you agree with Anthony Giddens statement that
Our age is not more dangerous not more risky than those of earlier generations, but the balance of
risks and dangers has shifted. (1)
We don t know if we live in a world any more risky than those of earlier generations. It is not the
quantity of risk, but the quality of control or to be more precise the known
Clint Malarchuk And The Buffalo Sabres
Clint Malarchuk was born May 1, 1961 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. He loved hockey and
continued to excel greatly in his sport. He joined the NHL in 1981 as a goalie and played for the
Quebec Nordiques, Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres throughout his career. He continued to play
whether it be for a minor league, professional league, or international league team until his retirement
in 1992. Clint Malarchuk was the goalie for the Buffalo Sabreswhen his life changed forever. On
March 22, 1989 during the first period of a game between the Buffalo Sabres and the St, Louis
Blues, the puck was sent across the face of the goal by a St. Louis Blues player awaiting the arrival
of Blues teammate Steve Tuttles stick. However, Uwe Krupp... Show more content on

The trainer then started cutting off all equipment. Once the ambulance arrived, an IV was put into
his arm but the pressure applied to Mr. Malarchuk s neck was never left without pressure until he
was in doctors hands at the local hospital.
Mr. Pizzutelli did an excellent job of applying pressure to the wound and doing his best to stop
the blood from exiting. His prior experience as an army medic in the Vietnam War prepared him
very well to save Mr. Malarchuk s life. He is credited with acting without any hesitation and
pinching off the artery to prevent further blood loss. His calmness was contagious. Mr.
Malarchuk was even said to be trying to make a joke as he was being rushed to the hospital with
blood still pouring from his neck. Trainers need to have this ability to prevent their patients from
going into shock and maintaining a positive outlook regardless of how bad the situation is. Clint
Malarchuck was one of the luckiest men on earth that night. He lost a third of the blood in his
body and doctors said if the skate had cut even a fourth deeper into his neck he would have died
immediately. His neck was sewn up with 300 stitches and doctors wanted Mr. Malarchuk to stay
for at least a week to monitor his conditions. Malarchuck instead left the next day and returned to
action eleven days later despite the doctor s orders to take the rest of the season off. Back then, the
standards and policies were not taken as seriously as they are today. Injuries are treated

Macbeth and His Downfall
Discuss Macbeth s Ruin...
People and decisions can greatly affect the outcome of a person s life determining whether the
outcome will be successful or disastrous. In Shakespeare s Macbeth, there are two factors that
contributed to Macbeth s ruin. One of them being more to blame: The influential character of Lady
Macbeth displaying temptation towards Macbeth, or Macbeth s own ambitious and insecure nature.
There are questions whether Macbeth s downfall might have displayed more for his own blame. In
closer examination, it will be come apparent that Macbeth is more to blame for his downfall. By first
examining the influential acts of Lady Macbeth that made Macbeth commit the murder to kill
Duncan, and contrasting these with the ambitious ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her influence is completely self motivated and originated in her own mind. She takes advantage of
Macbeth s original motivation, his ambition, and uses that to decide what he must do.
Although Lady Macbeth s influential character contributed to Macbeth s ruin, it was Macbeths
ambitious and insecure nature that was more to blame for his downfall. After he was named
King, Macbeth s misery and eventual downfall is caused by his own insecurities and misguided
determination to take control of his future. The first of the two acts which lead to his downfall
was the murder of Banquo. The prophecy of the witches reveal that Banquo s children will
become kings. This leads to Macbeth s arrangement of Banquo s death, He hath a wisdom that
doth guide his valour/ To act in safety. There is none but he/ Whose being I do fear; and under
him/ My genius is rebuked, as it is said/ Mark Anthony s was by Caesar. 4 The witches prophecy
concerns Banquo s descendants and Macbeth s feeling of inferiority, arranges the murder of
Banquo and his son. In one of Macbeth s soliloquy he contemplates on Banquo, stating that he is
the only person who he fears. Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown/And put a barren sceptre
in my gripe/ Thence to be wrenched with and unlineal hand/ No son of mine succeeding. 5 Macbeth
reveals his paranoia and fear that Banquo may be a threat. Having Banquo around him lays a
constant reminder of the evil deed he has

information regarding kingship, an analysis of Hamlet and political views. I found these articles

De Beauvoir Analytical Essay
Existence Precedes Essence our demonstrations make our existence. Humankind alone exists;
things are only things (for instance, they don t exist fundamentally). Creatures and vegetables
possess a middle position. Plants sprout, create organic products, live, and after that kick the

and bite the dust. Neither plants nor creatures settle on ponder decisions or carry through with
responsibility. This implies we have the decision in all that we do. We are in charge of our fate

U.S. s Influence on British Cinema Culture Between 1930 and 1980

Britain and America have always had a very close relationship that could have stemmed from a
number of different things. The English discovered America, they both speak the same language
and the fact that America helped Britain in the first World War may have played an important part
in why the two countries are so close. Due to this close bond or the special relationship between the
countries, over time we have influenced each other endlessly but perhaps none more so than the
influence that America has had over British cinema between the 1930 s and 1980 s.

More British film companies emerged after this act was passed to ensure that they could meet the
requirements. Two companies in particular, British International Picture and Gaumont Picture
Company emerged shortly afterwards to help provide the required number of British films. As
these British films had to be produced by a British film company, some of them were of low quality
because they did not have funding from America. British films therefore gained a reputation for
being of low quality and generally poor.

However this changed leading up to and during the second World War when people increasingly
went to the cinema to keep spirits high whilst everywhere else there was devastation. The war
became the golden age in British cinema despite cinemas being closed at first but reopening as a
means of escape from life at the time. The types of film that were shown ranged from comedies to
thrillers such as Alfred Hitchcock s The Thirty Nine Steps. It was during this time that the
government realised how much money could be made in the film industry and began to put more
money towards making and producing films. There were also a great deal of American films at this
time but this was to change after the war. Britain put a tax on all American films to

Delta Airlines has a long history within the aviation industry. Delta Airlines started as a crop dusting
operation, Huff Daland Dusters, out of Macon, Georgia in 1924. In 1925 Huff Daland Duster s
headquarters moved to Monroe, Louisiana to lengthen their reach from Florida, Arkansas, California,
and Mexico. At this time, Huff Daland Dusters operated eighteen aircraft, making them the largest
privately owned fleet in the world. In 1928 C.E. Woolman, founded Delta Air Linesand bought Huff
Daland Dusters. Woolman renamed them to Delta Air Services for the Mississippi Delta region. In

negotiations were started and went on for ten months. This strike disrupted flights because most of
