Countee Cullen Analysis
Walking towards the entrance of the museum, a Jazz singer sings the tunes of the Harlem
Renaissance, signifying political figures strengths and empowerment for communities to
commemorate. Undeniably, Countee Cullen contributes a fourth note to the paradigm for future
generations to employ as an prominent source. Continuing forward into the facility, an exhibits
secures pictures of a male, ranging from a newborn to a man in a suit. Sharon Olds mourns a
mature son in the last picture. Stepping into the final exhibit, feathers crowd the floor and walls,
wailing chaos from all perspectives. What do these timeframes all have in common? In brief, they
contain pain. The burning and longing sensation arises from poetically speaking about society s
unjust ways based on the color delicately placed on a person s body. Another sensation of pain
stems from memories tied to one s own son peaking at the age of maturity. Equally important, the
last painful sensation announces indignation with the everlasting touch of abusive power. The
allusions in Yet Do I Marvel by Countee Cullen, My Son the Man by Sharon Olds, and Leda and
the Swan by William Butler Yeatsrevive the sensation of pain into a deeper and more contorting
level. The poets backgrounds present logic for the endearing effects they create as each stanza
communicates a message associated with the torturous feeling.
Projecting from Countee Cullen s mind, his mention of Greek Mythology establishes the pain found

Back in those days a woman who loses her virginity was seen as a disgrace to her family and
community. Her so called husband had disappeared and there was no real witness to support her
story. Here Cervante uses the misfortune of Dorotea to point fingers at those who took advantage
of women and got away with it. The irony here is that the victim finds herself running while the
oppressor continues his conquest of destroying women lives. Cervante shows here how Don
Fernando who represented a threat for women in the society was untouchable and not seen as an
abuser. Since Don Fernando was a man a Hidalgo (Member of the Upper class), no one questioned
him. Cervante brings up the subject of rape that everyone in the Spanish society pretends to not
see. Cervante though Dorotea shows how women s lives are destroyed due to the assail behavior
of men. Don Fernando s banditry led Dorotea to exclude herself from the society, she finds herself
living in the mountains far away from home in order to avoid insults. Cervante openly describes his
disagreement towards this bullish behavior towards women. Cervante tries to explain that it s not
normal that woman who had lost their virginity were regarded as sinners, considering that there may
be different reasons which led to
The Manifesto Of The Communist Party Essay
Introduction: The Manifesto of the Communist party is a book written in 1847, by a group of
radical workers part the Communist League. Including the radical workers, the group comprised of
Karl Marx, and Friedrich Engels. They met in London to write a manifesto on their behalf, which
would be famously known as the Communist Manifesto. Marx was the principle author, while
Engels was mainly focused on editing and assisting. The Communist Manifesto was originally
published in London in 1848. The book is one of the most widely read and most influential
documents of modern socialism. It is also known to be the systematic statement of the philosophy
that has come to be known as Marxism. Marxism itself is known as the main philosophy around
Communismand has been adopted by some systems of government and society throughout history.
Karl Marxwas a German philosopher, economist, sociologist, and political revolutionary. When
Karl Marx moved to Paris in 1843, he met Engels and together they both worked on several
essays. However, Marx and Engels are best known for their revolutionary writings around the
concept of Communism. Marx attained his primary intellectual influences from the work of G.W.F
Hegel. Hegel s main theory describes history as a process in which the world becomes conscious of
itself as spirit. Marx furthered this theory and argues that man becomes conscious of himself as a
spirit; the material world causes him to feel increasingly alienated from himself. The
Keeping Cool On The Hot Seat Analysis
Chapters eighteen through thirty six in Keeping Cool on the Hot Seat by author Judith Hoffman
discusses preparing for and recovering from the press. Getting the correct informational statements
out to the media in a timely and accurate fashion is important to any Crisis Management Team; and
being prepared for any forum of public speaking is vital as one only gets one chance to make a first
impression. In order to begin preparation, it is recommended by Hoffman to begin with
brainstorming to come up with the any and all possible questions that the presscorps could possibly
ask. Having the answers to questions goes a lot further with one s credibility than the answer I don t
know. Some of the methods of brainstorming can include: historical... Show more content on

answer, with a quotable sound bite . (Hoffman 2011, 145). And Make your point bridging to a

include, if it is a false assertion, correct it; confusing questions should be clarified, but be careful
not to keep asking for a question to be restated, this will make the spokesperson look incompetent.
Don t let the reporter put your words into another meaning so what you are saying... is a common

because it is something that I use in activites I am in so everyone feels like its a second family.
When I went to Science Olympiad for testing, a strong bond of friendship was formed between
me and a couple other of the students there, it really help create a form of unity that can only

second word I picked is alertness. Alertness is something I love because it has
Theoretical Approaches To Miscarriage
Gerber Epstein et al. (2009) mention that there are three theoretical approaches to the emotional
distress miscarriage creates. The first approach is the response of losing the embryo, Gerber
Epstein et al. (2009) explains that it is almost the same as losing a living family member. The
second approach is when the first approach is treating the loss of the embryo. Since the embryo is
felt by the women and knows that it is part of her body now, her body may reject it and to the
woman, it is more like a betrayal of her own body (Gerber Epstein et al., 2009). The last approach is
the miscarriageoccasion as a traumatic experience. Gerber Epstein et al. (2009) discusses that from
the traumatic signs come anxiety, hard time falling asleep, fear,... Show more content on

According to Randolph, Hruby Sharif (2015), when a couple is experiencing pregnancy loss, it is
better for them to mention it to the public, most likely family members. Having support from family,

al. (2015) briefly refers to another study in which they observed that mothers and sisters of the female
griever was the best positive support for them. Once the miscarriage happens, the couple does not
want to talk about it with anyone which is why all the emotions and feelings stay inside and talking
about it makes the process go by faster. Randolph et al. (2015) also mentions that talking about the
miscarriage opens the couple to support groups. If they do not feel support talking about the situation
with familiar people, talking to unknown couples that are experiencing the same thing makes them
feel better. On a recent study by Sejourne, Callahan, and Chabrol (2010), they performed an internet
forum questionnaire study during 5 weeks. It included 305 European females who had experienced a
miscarriage in the past year. The questionnaire was designed to retrieve information on demographic
data and the experiences these women were going through. The questions included if they found
miscarriage information helpful and what difficulties they experienced, their opinion on miscarriage

What The Stars Meant By John Koethe Analysis
There are multiple people who view the stars meaning differently. In What the Stars Meant by John
Koethe had a very beautiful, unique way of expressing what the stars meant to him. He wrote what
the stars meant to him and had described how there is no right or wrong meaning to the stars. It is to
everyone s own perspective. The theme of this poem is to explain what the stars meant to John
Koethe. He wanted to get people to view the stars that they may not have viewed them before.
Each stanza of his poem has a different meaning of what the stars mean to him. They each had a
new, beautiful way of describing the stars. He described the stars in ways that I have never heard
the stars be described before. He uses imagery to paint a picture of the glimmering stars in your
mind. He changes the imagery as he changes the different meanings of what the stars mean to him.
All throughout the poem, there are rhymes that help give it some flow and make it more
interesting. He also uses some personification by giving the stars some human like qualities. By the
way John Koethe wrote this poem, it seemed as though that he loves the stars that sparkle in the
night sky. He seems like the type of person who loves both the stars and anything else that has to do
with nature. His way of writing and his topic is what draws readers in and keeps them interested in
his poem.
If someone were to read John Koethe s poem without seeing the title or knowing the theme, many
people may think that John Koeth is talking about and describing the moon if they would not have
seen the title of the poem. They may think this until they get to line number 3 of stanza number 4
where John Koethe says, The polestar, bid his adieus, and move on (Koethe 15). This line would be
the line that gives you the idea that John Koethe is talking about the stars and not the moon.
This story is talking about the stars and what they mean to John Koethe. Stars may be mean
something different to everyone. Some people may think that there is nothing magnificent about
them, and some people may think that they are the most beautiful thing in the world. To John
Koethe, the stars were a beautiful object that appeared in the darkness of the night. He used some
Summary Of All Summer In A Day
All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury is a short story about a girl named Margot and her
experiences on the planet Venus. Margot moved to Venus from Earth when she was 4 years old, old
enough to remember the sun. On Venus, the sun only comes out every 7 years for a couple hours,
other than this, it s always raining. The other children on this planetbullied Margot, they were mean
to her because she could remember the sun, and they didn t. One lesson the story suggests is that
when you don t think about your actions, it can lead to regret and guilt.
Throughout the story, the children were jealous of Margot and bullied her. Bradbury says, They
surged about her, caught her up and bore her, protesting, and then pleading, and then crying, back
into a tunnel, a room, a closet, where they slammed and locked the door. They stood looking at the
door and saw it tremble from her beating and throwing herself against it. They heard her muffled
cries. Then, smiling, they turned and went out and back down the tunnel, just as the teacher arrived.
This paragraph illustrates how mean the children were to Margot and how they acted so quickly
without really thinking about what they were doing. When the children did this they acted out of
jealousy and hurt Margot, without even knowing it. This is a reason why you should always think
before you say or do something; sometimes we can get wrapped up in our own jealousy and hurt
someone.
After the the children hurt Margot they felt terrible and guilty. In the story it states They stood as
if someone had driven them like so many stakes, into the floor. They looked at each other and then
looked away...They could not meet each other s glances. Their faces were solemn and pale. These
couple short sentences tell us how the children looked after they remembered Margot, by knowing
this, we know how they felt. Before, all of the children teamed up and shoved her in a closet, then
the sun came out and they had a great time playing outside together. After 2 hours the sun was gone
again and the children finally remember about Margot, when this happened each of them felt
tremendously guilty. This a a reason why you should always be kind to others, because no matter
what you will hurt them and
Online Vehicle Rental System
PROPOSAL FOR AN ONLINE VEHICLE RENTAL SYSTEM
JUNE 2012
ABSTRACT
This project is being considered in order to reduce and totally eliminate loss of customers to
competitors, and save the company from folding up. The current system is manual and it is time
consuming. It is also cost ineffective, and average return is low and diminishing. Currently,
customers can call or walk in in order to rent or reserve a vehicle. The staff of the company will
check their file to see which vehicle is available for rental. The current system is error prone and
customers are dissatisfied. The goal of this project is to automate vehicle rental ... Show more content

It will be easy for the company staff to keep track of available, reserved or rented vehicle so as to
avoid the confusion of reserving one vehicle for two clients which is a common problem when using
manual systems To the Client/customer
The customer will not have to travel to the company offices for Him to reserve of rent a vehicle. He
will do so at the comfort of his home or office.
1.4Problem Statement
Currently the system being used is a manual one where clients have to come physically into the
office in order for them to rent or reserve a vehicle. The system poses a number of challenges that
include:
1.Time consuming
In the current system, clients have to come to the company offices physically in order to rent or
reserve a vehicle which is a waste of time.
When there are many clients to be attended to it may take long for the company staff to serve all of
them.
2.Error Prone
The company staff are very likely to make errors when using the current manual system, for
example it is very easy to reserve one car for two clients, under charge or overcharge a client.
3.Cost
The operating cost of the current System is high but with the implementation of the Automated
System only a few no of staff will be able to run the System.
In the past, tattoos were commonly thought of as trashy or bad. One would often relate them to
bikers, rock and heavy metal stars, pirates, or gangsters. That has considerably changed over the
years. According to Swan, In 2003 approximately 40 million Americans reported to have at least one

Essay On Mesothelioma
In general, mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer. Different types of mesothelioma are distinguished
between by where the cancer is growing. Pleural mesothelioma, the most common, accounting for
75% of all mesothelioma cases, is where cancerous cells develop on the lining of the lungs. The next
most common form of mesothelioma is peritoneal mesothelioma and this is where cancerous cells
grow on the peritoneum which is the lining of the abdomen. Pericardial mesothelioma, the least
common major form of mesothelioma, makes up roughly 5% of all mesothelioma cases. This is
where malignant cancercells grow on the lining of the heart.
All three of these forms of mesothelioma are caused by asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring
fibrous mineral that was discovered around the 1860s. Due to its highly useful property of being
fireproof, asbestos was used greatly in construction in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. It was not until
the early 1960s when the severe health hazards that asbestos causes were discovered, that asbestos
stopped being used. When exposed to asbestos with insufficient protection a person will breathe in
tiny asbestos fibres which are suspended in the air. These fibres pass into the respiratory system until
they become lodged in the lining of the lungs. Over time, an accumulation of these asbestos fibres in
the lungs can cause pleural mesothelioma. Asbestos fibres may also pass into the lymphatic system
and be transported to either the lining of the abdomen or the tissue surrounding the heart. This may
cause either peritoneal mesothelioma or pericardial mesothelioma. ... Show more content on

Evers, despite of danger of being the leader of the NAACP, pursued to civil rights movement

With being the leader of the NAACP, many white Americans did not like him, and when he helped
