What I Learned in the Course of Spiritual Life and Growth
I have learned to live my life through trial and error; I believe mistakes should be accepted
without regret. I didn t always think in this manner, I originally was a perfectionist. I strived to be
the best at everything I did and it stunted my growth in life for quite some time. After I understood
the value of my life, I realized the key was to live genuinely; to live for a purpose that was not
only important to myself, but to others as well. I was not taught morality, I had to learn it the
hard way. The course, Spiritual Life and Growth, has taught me morality to some extent. On the
first week of attending Spiritual Life and Growth, I decided to take a break from my commission
based job for a few years; I understood the consequences if I did not sell I did not earn. I began to
cleanse myself, by answering the questions, Who am I? What do I love? I was able to truly tap
into myself: spiritually, and I understood I was forced to find a new career path, because of the
love I had for myself, and let go of my prior job. My career, of the past ten years, has been
extremely stressful, and is likely responsible for my high blood pressure condition presently. I
realized, I would lose business, and my current competitors would likely collect commission checks
on business I was supposed to earn. However, I made my schooling a priority, and I accepted

Death In Sports Essay
2016 has been a year of change, transformation, and endings. Unfortunately, it has also been a year
where death has been front and center in the entertainment, as well as the sports world. Young and
old, the tragic deaths have been overwhelming.
The sports world is a place of family, camaraderie, and loyalty. Whether you are an athlete, an
executive, a fan, or a friend, when someone is lost in the sports world their legacy transcends. The
game appears smaller, the rivalries disappear, and business comes to a halt. We witnessed that
recently with the tragic loss of Jose Fernandez. The 24 year old fireballer had a warm smile, a
contagious zest for life, and an untamable spirit. His love and passion for baseball were beyond
measure, only taking a back seat to his love for family. The baseball world will ... Show more content

When his ashes were spread on the grass at Latrobe Country Club, a fitting goodbye for the legend,
a rainbow appeared. Not just any rainbow, the rainbow seemed to stretch for miles and miles.
Whatever your beliefs are, couldn t have been a more beautiful sendoff for a great man, a great
athlete.
For those of us that love the game, the game is bigger than all of us. Take the larger than life athlete
out of your thoughts for a moment and remember the person. Celebrate their life. Remember the
moments they touched you. There is a power in sports, the human element, the triumphs, the
tragedies, that is bigger than all of us.

Knowledge Vs Evils
Not all information is useful to all people. Some information can hinder a person s life. Depending
on the person and depending on the information, some knowledge is better left unknown. However,
for others, the same information that would have hindered one persons would be helpful to theirs.
One example of this information is the knowledge that evilis in the world. For some, knowing about
the evil in the world could scare them into not living a normal and happy life. For others knowing
about evil could make them aware they need to be alert to keep themselves safe from danger. So, is
it always better to know that there is evil or is it better to be oblivious to the evils of the world? In

about who she trusted with information about herself. The reader knows that this knowledge

The History of Video Games So, I m going to change things a bit. Instead of just talking about
dates and numbers, which can be boring; I m going to give this a little casual twist. So, in order
to start the history let s get a few facts out of the way. Let s talk about gamers, mainly because I ll
be using the term a lot; gamers are people who spent a lot of time playing videogames. The
Average gamer playing video games has spent twelve years playing them. Adult gamers have an
average of fourteen years of playing videogames, guys have an average of sixteen years, and girls
have an average twelve years. Speaking of girls did you know that 47% of gamers are girls? I
would have never guessed that, but it s a fact. So, as of 2013 49% of all people who live in The
United States owns a console. All of them that own a console have at least two of them. Me, I
own eleven... I think I may have a problem. Anyway, now that some of the facts are out of the way
let s start, THE HISTORY OF VIDEOGAMES! Now before I start I want to talk about all the most
important events in the history of videogames, as I call them eras. Each era is very important
because they shaped the videogames we know and love today. The Beginning Era
So, what was the very first videogame ever created? Do you think you know? Most people guess
Pong, The Atari, Nintendo s Super Mario Bros., Pac Man, but all of them are wrong. Can you guess

Selecting Stallions for Breeding
Efficient and effective breeding is dependent on the performance of the Stallion and the mare.
Adequate knowledge of the Stallion anatomy keeps one at good point to make good decision on
selecting Stallion that will perform above average (Graffin, 2000, Morris Allen, 2002)
The records of the history of Stallion is a basic tool to understanding the past of the stallion and that
makes it easier to evaluate its present. It should be an eye opener to the accurate age, breed type,
sexual experience, rearing practices, production rate, mating ability, health records, treatments, past
body condition, tests and environmental condition. (Hickman, 1984).
Body conformation is a heritable trait of a stallion by its offspring (Saastamoinen and Barrey,
2000).The physical condition should be at good rating, the stallion should have a good limb
conformation and should be free from all bone and locomotion defects. Dolwik and Klemetsdal
(1999) reported that body scoring condition of a stallion averagely 3, but a stallion that is
consistently used for covering can be raised above 4 so that it does not become emaciated after the
breeding season. Stallion with low score are found with have low libido and are not capable to
withstand breeding pressure. Obese stallion are usually lazy and are at higher risk of having insulin
resistance and laminitis (Hoffman et al., 2003) and respiratory problems (Webb et al. 1989. Increase
fat level could be detrimental to sperm production because of elevated
Age Specific Reproduction
The effects of age specific breeding and matriarch presence on elephant reproduction
Introduction
Although Robinson et al. was not able to determine the overall the long term effects of early life
reproduction, they provided results that show the immediate effects of age specific reproduction. The
impact of reproduction on younger females is an important part of elephant survival, however, it is
the impact of reproduction over time that provides understanding of the future of elephant
populations. In order to show the later life effects of reproduction, Hayward et al. studied the
survival of calves and annual breeding success of elephants throughout their lives and into their older
age.

produced a study that examined the later life consequences of breeding on a population,
particularly breeding early in life. Hayward et al. also used the Myanmar timber camp Elephas
maximus to perform the research, looking at the records of 416 reproductive captive born
mothers and their offspring. The elephants used were from 8 regions of the Myanmar timber
camps with the youngest breeding being 5 years of age and the oldest being 53. The mean age at
the first birth of offspring was 19.48 years with the maximum number of lifetime calves being 10
calves. Hayward et al. discovered that individuals who didn t produce calves before the age of 19
had lower calf survival than those who produced one or more calves before the age of 19.
Although beginning reproduction earlier in life is correlated with a shorter lifespan, the cost is
outweighed with higher annual breeding success as well as increased calf survival (Hayward et
al). The investment of energy and resources into breeding at an early age increases the chance of
calf survival but also results in shorter lifespans compared to those who begin reproduction later in
life (Hayward et al.). Based on the findings, the costs of early life reproduction are offset by higher
lifetime breeding success in younger elephants. The breeding success of younger elephants can be
attributed not only to early reproduction, but also to older females in a herd. While Hayward et al.

The International Court Of Justice
INTRODUCTION: International court of justice is a principal judicial organ of United Nations
organization and is also known as world court which was established in 1945 by UN charter and
began work in 1946. ICJ is successor of permanent court of international justice which was
dissolved after the 2nd world war. ICJ is located in The Hague, Netherlands. In judicial settlement,
ICJ occupies a prominent position and decides legal issues of general importance. ICJ comprises
of fifteen judges who are elected for nine years by the general assembly and the security council,
regardless of their nationality. JURISDICTION OF ICJ : According to Article 93 of the UN
charter, all members of UN can automatically be the parties to the court. For non members states,
article 93 also provides the right to the parties of the court if they wish to and willing to be bound by
the jurisdiction of court. For example, Switzerland used this method to become the party of the court
in 1948. The court has jurisdiction over the states when the states accept the jurisdiction of the court.
So the court doesn t have compulsory jurisdiction over the states, since there cannot be a central
political authority over the sovereign states. Therefore, no international tribunal can exercise
jurisdiction over the sovereign states without their consent. The jurisdiction of ICJ is based upon the
consent of the parties. The principle of consensual basis of the jurisdiction of ICJ

TRACKING TECHNOLOGY; THE DEVELOPMENT AND PERSPECTIVES OF E COMMERCE
Tracking technology Name: Class: Date Institution: INTRODUCTION E commerce is the
conduction of business and commercial affairs through electronic means. Electronic means ensure
that companies are competitive and efficient in terms of production. The high level of e commercein
the current businessenvironment has not come instantaneously, but, there has been continual
evolution. The centre of this evolution is technological advancement and globalization, two factors
that have reduced the world to be in the form of a business village due to the ease in which
operations are done. A sense of enhanced competition exists between various companies as they
struggle to cope up with the high demands of the technology era[ ]. This essay outlines the
development and the perspectives of e commerce.
Being a large topic, the evolution of e commerce is discussed as a component of the disadvantages
of e commerce. The use of the e commerce and e commerce selling invention hit the internet
marketing with a thud on its invention in the late 1990s with its revolution of transforming the
computer and internet industries. The use of the e commerce came with several advantages that saw
connections both in the internet and intranet easier and transfer of files become much easier
between and among foreign businesses too but also came with disadvantage as it placed most
businesses under
Essay on Comparison of Hills like White Elephants and FAT
Comparison of Hills like White Elephants and FAT
Both Hill like White Elephants and FAT are short stories about current issues that have to be
resolved. The issue in FAT regards obesity in
America and is shown as a conversation between the narrator and
Rudy . Hills like White Elephants, however, the issue is abortion and the author uses direct speech
creating the effect that we are near the couple, eavesdropping on the conversation. In FAT, the author
uses indirect speech because the person is retelling the past events to a friend. He does this to make
it seem as if he is describing it to us
(us being the friend). This creates trust for the narrator.
Nevertheless, even though the anonymity of the characters is important to both stories, the authors
do give us a place and time. In
Hills like White Elephants, the couple are in Spain and there is fifteen minutes until a train arrives.
This use of time indicates to the reader that it is a snapshot a moment in time albeit a crucial one
where a decision regarding a human life is made. This uses of
Spain, also makes the man distinguished, as he is American . In addition, the author is writing to an
American audience, about
American society s problems, which would bring the story to the reader. In FAT, the story is placed
in Denver, which, like Hills like
White Elephants, brings the story to the American people. This is continued by the American
spelling of words and the use of words like
napkin in FAT.
Even though, all the characters in the stories are American, they are very unalike. In Hills like White
Elephants, the girl is shown as immature though the use of
