What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of The Internet...
The Internet
We are living in a changing world. New generations are now living a modern life. 21st century
people are becoming smarter and have invented so many technologies which help life improve.
However, life is changing both possitive and negative. While the new are helping us comfortable,
user friendly, society vices are increasing too quickly because of the development of technologies.
Nowadays, the term Internet has become a familiar word to people all over the world. In the current
society, the benefits that the Internet brings about is universally believed. However the Internet has
both advantages and disadvantages. The Internet is very advantagous to all people who use it. First

This results to many accidents of security. Lastly, I personally want to mention online games. With
ovrwhelming fascination, online games have become one of the most popular forms of
entertainment worldwide, especially among teenagers. However, online games have a lot of
disadvantages. In my opinion, they should be banned because of some main reasons. Firstly, playing
computer games is so addictive. With goods designs, exciting contents and lively images, online
games are making millions of players spend many hours gluing to the screen. Work is left undone
and meals are left untouched. Next, online games give their players a big illusion. They are out
of the real world and submerged in an imaginary world where they may be another person and do
things that they never do in real life. Finally online games may be dangerous. There are many bad
games which cause players to get involved in socials evils such as violence, robbery, murder and
theft. Teenager are the easiest to get addicted to online games. All of them are in ages which have to
go to school. Most of these players do not have money. Then they have no other alternatives but

The Causes Of Conflicts In The Outsiders
Just like every person even the people in the books have conflict in their life it or not. Ponyboy went
through some tough times in the novel The Outsiders . But when he was going through those tough
times he kind of learned something from the situation. There are many things that Ponyboy went
through in the novel. There were many causes of the situations that happened along the way. Such as
Pony lost many of his very close friends and didn t know how to face it and get through at times in
the novel. When ponyboy went through the tough times or conflict in the novel he in a way made
the reader and even the characters in the story understand what he was trying to get at and
understand him better.
The first thing that ponyboy or even the characters in the story went through was the night when
PonyBoy and Johnny went out and Ponyboy stayed out past curfew. One of the Socs named Bob
was drunk that night and was mad at the same time because a couple nights before Bob s girlfriend
Cherry was hanging out with Ponyboy and Johnny. Bob acted out in anger and tried to drown
Ponyboy in the fountain that was in the park. Johnny acted out in self defence and stabbed Bob to
where he bled to death right there in the park. He was sitting next to me, one elbow on his knee,
and staring straight ahead. He was a greenish white, and his eyes were brighter than I have ever
seen them I killed him, He said slowly I killed him. (Hinton 56) What s happening when Johnny

Coal-fired Power Plant
With the fast economic development, the global warming issue is threatening our planet
nowadays. Global warming can cause ice melting, which leads to sea level rise globally. Many
lovely cities and countries, such as London, Venice, and Bangladesh will be flooded with seawater
and will disappear on the map. Moreover, ecosystems are badly affected by global warming, which
forces many species to leave their homelands and move to the north or even extinct. Not only
animals are under the extinction dangers, but also human beings are enduring the extreme weather,
such as floods, acid rains, storms, droughts, etc. Along with the hostile environment, the human
beings are in danger of the spreading disease, such as malaria. Coalfired power plant generates 44
percent of the electricity; however, it is considered the biggest air polluter in the United States and
one of the biggest factors in causing global warming. The greenhouse gas emissions from the coal
fired power plants are threatening the human health and the ecosystems. Fortunately, the U.S.
Supreme Court upheld the authority of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to implement its
responsibilities and regulate the pollutants. Nevertheless, the U.S. EPA is facing with many
challenges from the coal plants owners, Republicans, and workers in coal reliant states, such as
Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. They opposed to the U.S. EPA s new carbon dioxideregulations and
tried to overturn the EPA s authority. This paper will

Preliminary study on strength and durability properties of pH adjusted fluorogypsum cement fly ash
blends
A preliminary investigation of strength and durability properties of a low cost concrete like system
made of pH adjusted fluorogypsum (FG), class C fly ash (FA), and type II Portland cement (PC). A
series of compressive strength tests and volumetric expansion measurements were conducted on
specimens after 28 days of curing. The experimental results were used to develop response surface
models (RSMs). These RSMs can be used to predict accurately compressive strength and volumetric
expansion as functions of the relative content, in dry weight, of different components. The RSMs ...

The long term compressive strength of the FG based blend was investigated under prolonged
immersion in seawater, demonstrating that the material strength does not degrade below its 28 day
value after one year of immersion and exposure to field environmental actions. The compressive
strength under field conditions was compared to the material kept under laboratory conditions. This
comparison indicated a moderate reduction (27%) in compressive strength after one year. A visual
examination of the immersed specimens showed that aquatic organisms covered most of the FG
based samples surface, which indicated that these organisms are attracted to the proposed material.
A small artificial reef structure made of a FG based blend was built and placed underwater at a site
in Grand Isle, LA and investigated for stability and settlement for nine months. Monitoring of the
structure over the immersion period indicated that settlement due to the structure was stable. A
preliminary cost analysis was performed to compare the cost of artificial reefs constructed with the
FG based blend, crushed limestone, or crushed recycled concrete. The results of this study suggest
that the proposed FG based blend is a promising environment friendly material for artificial reef
construction, which can provide significant economic advantages when compared to other materials
commonly used in coastal development projects.
Use of slurry fluorogypsum (FG) with controlled pH adjustment in FG based
Investigating And Writing About The Ashanti People
For my research paper, I am going to be investigating and writing about the Ashanti people. The
Ashanti people inhabit what is today Ghana, West Africa, with their capital city being Kumasi. I am
interested in this subject because I spent four weeks of this summer in Ghana. While I spent most of
my time with the Fante people on the coast, we toured Manhyia Palace in Kumasi and I was
instantly intrigued by the Ashanticulture. I also personally know an Ashanti that has moved to the
United States, which makes me all the more interested to explore how globalization, as defined by
Manfred Steger, has shaped her life and culture. The issues that I am going to be investigating in this
paper are ones that I have had first hand experience with:... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ghana was called The Gold Coast until its independence was gained from the British in the 1900s,
due to the abundance of gold. This, along with the eventual slave trade was a catalyst for the arrival
of Europeans in the area in 1471. The Ashanti Empire was founded in 1697 by King Osei Tutu I. At
its height, the Ashanti Empire was incredibly rich and powerful, larger than modern day Ghana, and
even had European advisors. Dress was extravagant, rituals were important, and courts, tax systems,
and military organizations were all being employed. Yet, as is the case with many African nations
around this time, conflict with Europeans eventually arose. The first conflict between the Ashanti
and Europeans was with the British, and it occurred in 1824. The Ashanti emerged victorious with
the death of the British governor. During the second conflict with the British, the Ashanti were
defeated and Kumasi was captured. The near fall of the Ashanti Empire came in 1896, when the
Ashanti were defeated by the British and King Prempeh was exiled to the Seychelles. After this, the
Ashanti attempted one last attack on the British fort, spurred on by the disrespect they were being
shown by the British governor, but they were ultimately defeated. However, many of the traditions
and cultural aspects of the ancient Ashanti s still exist today.
Art and language are two ways in which Ashanti culture has been preserved
Patriot Movie Vs History
Movies are a brilliant way to immerse yourself into a wonderful story, full of well developed,
interesting (well, there have been some exceptions) characters. People in the film industry work
hard to come up with a plot line that can draw in many viewers. There are not only movies that are
created as a work of fantasy, but also ones that are inspired by real events that has transpired. Many
have been based on historical events that we learned in history class. Yes, a movie might be able to
teach you a thing or two about the past. What better way to learn history, right? Unfortunately, the
ones making the film don t always portray the most accurate of content relating to history. It is a
movie; not a documentary. The Patriotis one of those... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Battle of Camden was shown briefly; it was being observed from an abandoned house by
Benjamin and Gabriel when they left to join the war. Benjamin criticised on how Gates led his
troops. It was on August 16 when this battle took place. General Horatio Gates lost to Cornwallis s
army in the movie and in history. The final battle of the film was based on the Battle of Cowpens
and the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. The Battle of Guilford Courthouse has less similarities to
the end battle of the movie than the Battle of Cowpens. On January 16, 1781, Daniel Morgan
took charge of the militia at the Battle of Cowpens. Instead of Morgan in this battle, we have
Benjamin Martin taking the spotlight. Morgan knew that militia might try to retreat, so he made
it to where they cannot run. Behind him and the men was the Broad River, which cut off an
escape route. This made it so the militia would have to choose to fight or die. The battle in the
movie did not show any kind of river around the area. Morgan put his rawest militiamen in the
front line, backing them up with seasoned men from Virginia and his veteran Continental troops
(Phillips). Even the British pointed out in The Patriot how the militia was front and center of the
troops. What the British didn t know was that Morgan also had many more troops behind them.
Each line of troops was spread about 150 yards away from each other and had a larger number of
troops who were more trained the further it went back. Martin had a similar setup going on in the
film. Martin and Morgan had the ones on the frontlines to open fire at the last minute aiming for the
officers. They would have to fire two shots, then run back to the next line of troops. The British, in
turn, would chase after them. Then the next line would do the same thing and go to the back of the
main line to form up together. Tarleton s
Current Health Status Of Cambodia
This paper discusses the current health status of Cambodia, and the factors that influence it. These
factors include the healthcare systems and national expenditures for healthcare, ethnic diversity and
cultural factors, gender equality, communicable and noncommunicable diseases, technology in
global health, and health policies. Cambodia, overall, has seen a major improvement in recent
years following the Khmer Rouge, with major strides especially in economic growth, education,
and some communicable diseases. However, Cambodia still struggles in some areas due to it s lack
of infrastructure, making areas like improving access to healthcare and decreasing poverty difficult.
If Cambodia wishes to improve in all areas, it will need to focus on using its fast economic growth to
help improve its infrastructure. Healthcare in Cambodia and Its Impact on Cambodians I will be
doing an in depth analysis on the urbanization, education, work conditions, income status, and access
to health services on the health of Cambodia. I think these determinants are very important in
understanding the health challenges Cambodia faces. At 8.4% Cambodia has one of the highest
urbanization rates in the world (The World Bank, 2015), yet it s urban infrastructure is limited and
outdated, making urbanization a major obstacle for the health of Cambodians . Less than half of
Cambodian adolescents are enrolled in secondary school (NGO Education Partnership, 2015), and
this is important
The Knight Of Light By The Greenest Grass
Chapter 1: The Knight of Light
The Knight of Light
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a small kingdom that had a sky of the bluest
blue, and was surrounded by the greenest grass which was decorated by every flower you could
imagine.
Within this kingdom there was a village that was filled with happiness, and everyone who lived
there was always smiling, for they loved their little village. They loved the blue skies, they loved
the green grass that was decorated by every flower you could imagine, and they loved their kingdom.
But what the villagers loved most was their beautiful queen. She was a wonderful and benevolent
woman who lived in an enormous pure white castle just outside of the village. From there she would

Alas, this was not the end of the Darkness s scheme. Once it was done with the village it swept into
the queens pure white castle and into the bedchamber of the queen herself. The Darkness then
snatched her up in its giant claw and dragged her out of the bedchamber. It dragged her out of the
pure white castle, out of the village, and took her into the very depths of Hell themselves.
After the queen was taken, the blue skies turned cloudy and grey, the pure white castle became ugly,
and discoloured, and an eternal gloom settled upon the kingdom. From that moment on, none of the
villagers could smile, for with their glowing queen stolen from them, what reason was there to smile?
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into years and years turned into
centuries, and the kingdom remained the gloomy, grey ghost of the joy it had once celebrated. In
that time the queen did not return, and any fool who was brave enough to try and look for her never
came back.
But then one day, after exactly one hundred years had passed since the Darkness came, a stranger
came to the gloomy kingdom, and he was not like the sad, smile less villagers who lived there.
No, this man was a knight! For he rode a white stallion and he wore a shining suit of armor, made
out of the purest silver which shone like a finely cut jewel, with a
Greasers Monologue
I live on 2356 on Hudson Street, replied Cherry. My house is the third on Hudson Street. Hudson
Street is the where you would go to enter the Westside of Town. I was remembering her words at my
desk. I was thinking on how I could talk in a way that appeals to the people I was talking to. I guess
I would know what appeals to the Greasers, but I did not know what appealed to the Socs. They
were always behind a wall of aloofness, so it would be hard to know what appeals to them. I was
thinking of the ways that I could discover what the Socs liked. There is only one way to find out,
I said to myself. It was a crazy idea, but if I could do it successfully, it would help me get the Socs to
stop fighting. I was going to do something that no Greaser had done before,... Show more content on

I kept cocking my eyebrows, which might have sent a message to Cherry. Alright, she responded
with a smirk, let s go. With that, we started my tour around the West side of town. The West side
of town was looked nicer than the East side, which makes sense because the West side is more
rich. Cherry showed me where the Socs like to go, like the Way Out and Rusty s. To get to know
Socs better, said Cherry, you got to meet them. What if they think I am a Greaser, I asked. We will
just say you are a cousin, responded Cherry nonchalantly. We went inside the Way Out, which
looked very nice in comparison with the Dingo. The chairs seemed more expensive and luxurious.
That might be an odd thing to point out, but it s true. We decided to go talk to some Soc
quarterbacks who played for the school I went to. Cherry knew them because she was the
cheerleader. Who is that guy? asked one of the quarterbacks. I am just a cousin, I replied. Just
showing him around town, said Cherry. Alright, said the quarterback. Can I ask you guys some
questions? I asked. Be honest,
