A Brief Note On Consumer Electronics Bus ( Cebus )
2.3 ii) CeBus technology
Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus), a standard proposed by the Electronic Industries Association, is
based on the concept of Local Area Networks (LAN s). CEBus based products consist mainly of a
transceiverwhich implements spread spectrum technology along with a controller to run the
protocol. The given protocol standards are for radio frequency, twisted pair, power line
communication and a number of other networking methods. The CEBus PLDT standard specifies
that a binary digit is represented by how long a frequency burst is applied to the channel i.e, a
binary 1 is represented by a 100 microsecond burst, whilst a binary 0 is represented by a 200
microsecond burst. CEBus transmission rate varies with how many 0 characters, and how many 1
characters are transmitted. The CEBus standard specifies a language of object oriented controls
including commands for volume up/down, temperature up one degree, etc. Due to the high noise
level of power line channels, data should be transmitted via short frames, which is assured by the
use of the spread spectrum technology. CEBus protocol uses a Carrier Sense Multiple Access
/Collision Detection and Resolution (CSMA/CDCR) protocol to avoid data collisions. CEBus is a
commercially owned protocol, and thus attracts registration fees.

2.3 iii) LonWorks technology

This technology was developed by Echelon Corporation. It is essentially structured as an automatic

control system that consists of sensors,
Siberian Lynx Research Paper
The Siberian Lynx (Lynx lynx wrangeli) is a subspecies of the Eurasian lynx. They inhabit
Siberia east of the Yenisei River and in other parts of Russia. The climate is frequently very cold.
Eurasian lynxes are the largest of all lynxes. Males weigh upwards of 65 lbs. (about 30 kg); have
a height of 30 in. (75 cm) at the shoulder, and a length of 50 in. (130 cm). The Siberian subspecies
gets particularly big with males reaching as much as 90 lbs. Their paws are wide, enabling them
to walk across snow. Long tuffs of fur sprout from the tips of their ears. Their bodies display an
interesting assortment of colors and patterns. These can be yellowish, grayish, or rusty in color with
patterns of spots, stripes, or without a notable pattern. Siberians are typically more gray and white
in appearance. The fur thickens considerably during winter. Mating happens usually during the
months of February and March. The cats will select dens that provide relative safety, such as rocky
crags or in heavy underbrush. Females give birth to one to four young. The kittens will be... Show

Their broad range has helped maintain overall populations of the species. In Russia alone their
number surpasses 30,000. The IUCN Red List, which tracks the status of species worldwide,
presently categorizes the Eurasian Lynx as least concern. Despite this fact, the species faces
dangers. It has largely disappeared or declined in many of their traditional habitats in Western
Europe. The exact status of the Siberian lynx subspecies is up to debate. As is often the case,
poaching, prey depletion, and habitat destruction are a problem. History has shown that any species
can be quickly devastated. The last century has seen a marked downturn in the numbers of various
subspecies. One of these, the Balkan lynx, is currently listed as critically endangered. The
population of the Balkans appears to be fewer than 50
Pacman Research Paper
Pacman is a game in which you are a yellow circle character called Pacman, you are trying to eat
all of the little white dots to add to your score as well as eating any other bonus to increase your
score. However, there are a number of ghosts which are trying to stop you, if you run into them
you die and lose a life, once you are out of lives you lose and will have to start from the beginning.
There are also big dots which will give you a temporary power up when you consume them, this
power up makes the ghosts scared of you and try to run away, during this time you are also able to
eat them to get even more score. Once you have eaten all of the dots you clear the level and have
won the game. This game is an arcade gameand so has bright colours and is not meant to look
realistic, this also applies to the sound, which has an 8 bit feel to it making the game come to life
and making the player feel more connected to it. I have kept this in mind when making changes to
my game as I do not want to disrupt Pacman s unique feel.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

First off, I have made all of the Pacman Ghosts the same colour, I have done this just because I
wanted to have 8 Ghosts and found it harder to concentrate when they were all different colours
buzzing around the screen, so making all the Ghosts one colour made it easier to concentrate and still
kept the ghosts fun. I also changed the base number of ghosts from 4 to 8 and increased the map
size, also removing the tunnels from the side. I have done this as I wanted to make a large map
however found that it would be too easy if the player could jump from one side of the map to the
other, and found that there weren t enough ghosts for the large map
Four Types Of Consequentialism
Consequentialism: is it right or wrong you decide. There are many different types of
Consequentialism but I am just going to list four ofthem. Each of the different types of
Consequentialism theories are each defined differently andhave many differences between
them.Utilitarianism: So Utilitarianism say that you should maximize the most good for thelargest
number. They used to call UtilitarianismUtility which is where the name came from.Google defines
Utility as being defined as economic well being, a lack of suffering, as well aspressure.(Hedonism:
The term hedonism, from the Greek word ἡδονή (hēdonē)http://www.iep.utm.edu/hedonism/ )
Google defines Hedonism as The pursuit of pleasure;sensual self indulgence. In other words
Hedonism means that how things affect us and cause usto behave or act a certain way is good for
us.It also says that the pain and pleasure of life are theonly things that matter.... Show more content

Navistar Competitive Advantage
Because Navistar is a major trucking company, they are constantly striving to keep their lead by
innovating new technologies within their industry. One of Navistar s main strengths is the ability to
gain strategic alliances with other firms in the industry, not only national, but also international. A
strategic alliance is an alliance where two or more firms create a legally independent company to
share their resources and capabilities to develop a competitive advantage. These advantages enhance
a firm s marketplace success.
In 2001, Navistar and Ford Motor Company announced their joint venture named Blue Diamond
Truck Company, LLC. This 50 50 joint venture was created so they could work together to build
medium duty commercial vehicles, advance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The new venture served Mexico and South America with both mid size and minibus models
distributed under the Integrated Coach brand. The venture quickly expanded into the US and
Canada with plans for future expansion into other world markets (BOOK CITATION). After
acquiring Camiones y Motores International de Mexico, Navistar thought why stop there ? Also in
2008, Camiones y Motores and San Marino, a Brazilian bus body builder, signed a memorandum of
understanding to form a joint venture to manufacture commercial bus bodies, which was distributed
as commercial integrated buses through the IC Bus Dealer channel that began in 2009. The
proposed venture is expected to begin by serving the Mexico and Latin American market with mid
size and midi bus models distributed under the IC brand. Future growth potential includes expanding
sales into additional products and other world markets, including the United States and Canada.
(COMTEX, 2008). Navistar further diversified its customer base in 2009 with the $47 million
acquisition of recreational vehicle manufacturer Monaco RV. This acquisition enhanced Navistar by
expanding its diesel and RV chassis business along with providing increased manufacturing capacity
in the US. Navistar also raised the innovation bar to a new level in 2009 when it purchased a stake
in Amminex. This company is a technology

Precast Concrete

Every construction material and system has its own characteristics which to a greater or lesser
extend influence the layout, span length, construction depth, stability system, etc. This is also the
case for precast concrete, not only in comparison to steel, wood and masonry structures, but also
with respect to cast in situ concrete. Theoretically, all joints between the precast units could be made

The system consists of L shaped and T shaped frame units placed on top of each other.Simply
supported floor slabs span between the frames.
The frame units are placed simply supported on the base and on top of each other hinged
connections are made between the frame units as pin joints at the mid span of the beams.

Structural system 8: The system shown is formed by H shaped frames with cantilever beam. Slabs
are simpley supported by spanning them from beam to beam.
The connections between the H shaped frames are formed as pin joints at the mid hieght of the
columns and between the cantilevers beams.
All rigid joints are made as an integrated part of the fram units. Slabs span from frame to fram.

Structural system 9:
The system consists of unspliced four storey high continuous columns with cantilever attachements
for supporting the beams. Floor slabs are simpley supported on the beams.
The columns are restrained at their bases. Beams are simply supported on column attachements.all
rigid joints are made as integrated parts of the columns.

Apollo 11 In The 60 s Essay
At the beginning of the 1960s, many Americans believed they were standing at the dawn of a
golden age. On January 20, 1961, the handsome and charismatic John F. Kennedy became
President of the United States, influencing events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Apollo
11 space mission. Following JFK in his achievements, MLK helped African Americans gain civil
rights by leading nonviolent protests, such as the 1963 March on Washington. New technology,
such as the ATM and ARPAnet, seemed new and improved to the public positively, changing their
lives. Many people also liked to design and wear new clothing and styles, such as art type clothing
and pop music inspired clothing. This decade was a time of prosperity. One historian at
history.com, remarking on JFK s confidence, stated, the government possessed big answers to big
problems ; that seemed to set a tone for the rest of the decade.

Many important events happened in the 1960 s, such as the Apollo 11 space mission and the Cuban
Missile Crisis. To begin, Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to the moon. Apollo 11 was
launched on July 16, 1969 from the United States in Cape Kennedy, Florida. Astronauts Neil

(MLK) and John F. Kennedy (JFK), who both played significant roles in American history. JFK
was not only the first Catholic president, he was also the youngest, becoming president at only 43
years old. His many accomplishments as president include establishing the Peace Corps, setting a
goal to put a man on the moon, and preventing nuclear armageddon during the Cuban Missile
Crisis. He won many awards during his life, like the Purple Heart, a WWII victory medal, and an
American Defense service medal. According to Liz Gogerly, author of the book The Kennedy
Assassination, President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963 during his first term by

Hiroshima Essay
Final exam
Lets take a trip to a place where we re created. Not a place you would think is right here, in our
yard, right in North America, but a place across the ocean and to an Island. If your thinking
OooooOoooo the Caribbean Islands your wrong but none other than Japan. Yes, this is a Place that
we had re created because of a bomb that was dropped on August 6, 1945. It had caused many of
deaths, devastation, and mutations, and this event was Ironically put in place by a poem written by
Mary Jo Salter called Welcome to Hiroshima.

Irony starts this poem off, because here you are entering Hiroshima, but in English it is written

But the way she puts it sounds normal because she splits here stanzas just right to where it sounds
like there is nothing wrong, especially how the third stanza is put. It Its Ironic in the fact that it
seems that there are breathing safe and just taking water from the Ohta River to put into their tea but
to realize the twist is, the Radiation that had flowed into that water is causing their mutations. She
puts these mutations in such a perfect picture with the ironic American food such as pizza topped
with a cherry and a Pancake sandwich. She also relates the word glass into her poem, and that could
be for we look through glass for window shopping and for the Television. But at that time news
broadcast of the war was prohibited but we would be highly into the tv from here on out. Also she
relates the glass as being in some women s arm and how she will always remember what
happened on that day because of the glass being shoved into her arm because of the blast. Another
very vivid picture is the one of the wrist watch of a child just stuck on Eight fifteen and how time
was just stopped. It didn t even take a second for that to stop it because the impact was that strong
not only on the people in Hiroshima but for a nation.

So as a Whole the new renovated Hiroshima done by none other than

references that trigger the mind to fuse together memories of sight. poets use these to express the

it is used to help the reader understand what exactly the poet is talking about or describing the
poems. An example of this is from the poem The Summer Day who made the world? Who made
the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, i mean the one who
has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her
jaws back and forth instead of up and down. In this the words who made are repeated to make the
reader think more in depth with the poem and what the author is asking. Another example is from
the poem I Like For You To Be Still I like for you to be still it is as though you are absent from far
away. I like for you to be still and you seem far away. It sounds as though you are lamenting a
butterfly cooing like a dove and you hear me from far away. I like for you to be still, it is as
though you are absent distant and full of sorrow. At the beginning of every stanza the author starts
off with I like for you probably to draw the reader s attention to what the author is gonna say
afterward. Also the author is on topic and talking about the same thing every stanza. The Last
example is from the poem Love Sonnet XVII I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries
in itself the light of hidden flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth,
