LLD S design structure was creating an inability to deal with interdependencies between
divisions. The culture of LLD is like business with profits, but it should be like educational

research. It should be non profit organization. LLD from inception with clear cut objectives and

Mental Maps
My life can be divided into two segments. The first part I lived with my family and Mexico City,
the second part started when I moved to Austin in the start of college. The live that I lived in each
of the sections has been different from the activities that I took part in, all the way to what kind
of location those activities occurred. In this paper I will explain the two mental maps that I
created. For each map I will compare and contrast the Landmarks, nodes, edges, paths, and edges in
each of the sections of my life and why they are relevant to me. The first map that I drew is about,
the space I inhabited in the past, which is MexicoCity. In this part of my life I resided in a very
residential area one that in the United States could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the past I used to be more focused in religion and sports, since I used to think of the synagogue
and JCC as important nodes. Currently the activities I typically partake have become mostly
studying, socializing and drinking, which can be perceived by the nodes I consider important, such
as the SAC and my fraternity. In the case of the landmarks, in both of the mental maps I have
objects that catch my attention in my everyday routes as things I distinguish in the landscape.
Consequently, in both maps my paths are defined on the nodes of my life, which have led to these
objects becoming landmarks for me.
Meanwhile when it comes to considering how I got from point A to point B in each map it is
very different. In Mexico City every single place I traveled meant that I needed to drive or be
driven around since distances are relatively long compared to Austin. This meant that the places that
I considered to be important for me are more scattered around my mental map. For Austin, most of
my activities take part in a smaller region since the mode of transportation I primarily use is
walking, therefore the distances I cover are much shorter than in my past.
In general I can conclude that by comparing and contrasting both mental maps, I can more
accurately understand how I have changed as a person, not only because I live in a very different city,
Summary Of Amusing Ourselves To Death Postman
Humanity has far surpassed anything that was seen as impossible. However, as society progressed
did we get distracted on the way? Did we seem to lose track of the important things that mattered in
our lives? In the mid 1980s Neil Postman wrote a book called Amusing Ourselves to Death which
talks about how technologyand media has reshaped our culture and he makes predictions on how it
will shape our future. The purpose of this paper is to update Postman s perspective to the present.
Throughout the last chapter of the book Postman talks about how technology has distracted us, and
how it has changed our social lives. This paper will provide information on how Postman s
perspective examples connect to society today, and how many of us are influenced by it without
even noticing it.

Postman says Television as I have implied earlier, serves us most usefully when presenting junk
entertainment; ... news, politics, science, education, commerce, religion and turns them into
entertainment packages. (Postman 159) This election year people are making fun of the candidates
running for president. Many of these people don t even seem concerned because television has
turned politics into entertainment.
Asbeek Brusse author of Educational Storylines in Entertainment Television says Although
embedding a health product into an entertainment program to covertly influence the public may add
to the program s intended prosocial effects and may be socially desirable for some target groups,
other consumers might find this tactic offensive or morally unacceptable. (Educational Storylines
398) Many products aren t taken seriously because there are embedded into entertainment. Even
though entertainment is added to catch the viewer s attention it may leave many crucial things
NSA Surveillance Cons
The presence of national surveillance in the United States is a widely debated topic, and there are
many positives and negatives to both sides. Although it has been operating for such a lengthy time,
the true actions of the NSA were revealed recently in the Snowden Leaks of 2013. Many state that
the NSA is good and necessary because they have nothing to hide and because it will prevent future
terrorist attacks. However, others argue that the surveillanceviolates the Fourth Amendment and is
useless. Even though there appear to be many pros of having the NSA operate as they currently do,
they should be disregarded because such intrusive surveillance is unlawful, racist, and ineffective.
The Fourth Amendment has been morphed from a rigid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The arguments of those who support the NSA have been refuted in the above paragraphs as they
are illogical and unfounded. The NSA has twisted the Fourth Amendment so much that it is nearly
unrecognizable, and it has even created new laws in order for the government to deem its actions as
legal . Surveillance is also convincing agents to incriminate innocent American citizens just based on
their religious affiliation. Agents are even willing to break laws in order to spy on certain Muslim
Americans, despite having no evidence incriminating them. Also, data mining demands FBI agents
to focus on collecting data and chasing false leads instead of investigating actual cases. This causes
the government to lose credibility in their citizens eyes, causing a large portion of the public to
withdraw their information from cloud computing companies, which will cost them up to $35
million of revenue loss. Furthermore, the collection of data actually hinders the NSA s
counterrorism efforts because the NSA s analysts are unable to process the vast amount of
information that is being spewed at them. The mass amount of data that the NSA has acquired is
also a temptation to terrorists, thus making data collection even more useless. Ira Winkler, former
NSA analyst, concludes, So, besides knowing that it s illegal,
Research Paper On The Tempest
The Tempest: A Case Study for Machiavellian Political Theories
In Shakespeare s The Tempest, the main character Prospero is an ideal candidate for examining
power structures. Prospero resides as the political tyrant on the island, instating power over all of
the inhabitants. His reign, while all encompassing on the island, is perceived differently in respect to
each individual being subjugated. Prospero fails in retaining power over both Miranda and Caliban,
but both for different reasons. Miranda strays from Prospero s will because her love for him
outweighed her fear, while Caliban loathed Prospero to the point where his hatred served as a
vehicle for his revolt. While both of these examples could merely reveal Prospero s failure at
achieving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Miranda proves to be the imbalance between fear and love. She clearly falls subordinate to Prospero
throughout The Tempest, best displayed by when Prospero finds himself tired of conversing with
her and forces her into sleep saying though art inclined to sleep. Tis a good dullness (Shakespeare
1.2. 185). It is blatantly clear through their dialogue that Miranda adores Prospero. This adoration
originally contributes to Prospero s power over Miranda, but it eventually withers and ultimately
validates Machiavelli s argument that love is not as essential as fear. Miranda easily sways from
Prospero s will upon the introduction of Ferdinand. She proclaims, I ll be his surety (Shakespeare
1.2. 478), referring to Ferdinand thus aligning herself against Prospero and further distancing
herself from his rule. This shift in loyalty follows Machiavelli s argument that it is far easier to
betray a leader whom you love than one you fear. Miranda s betrothal to Ferdinand is a clear
indicator of Prospero s failure to instill

Sonny Corleone s Injustice In The Film, The Godfather
The Godfather In the chosen scene, we see Sonny Corleone heading home after an incident where
he threatens his brother in law with death if he continues to abuse the sister of Sonny. On his
drive back, he stops at a toll booth; however, cars pull up behind him, and to each side boxing him
in. The passengers of all 3 vehicles open fire on Sonny resulting in his tragic death. I believe that
this scene in particular helps to embody the movie as a whole due to its tragic and violent nature.
For instance, earlier in the movie Don Corleon attempts to help his Godson, Johnny Fontane, by
influencing an abrasive studio yet through the death of his prized stallion. However, a few scenes
afterwards it can be seen that outside forces conspire to box the... Show more content on

I believe that this scene in particular truly captures the devastation, destruction and sadness that the
true attack brought on both in reality and in the fictionalized account created within the movie.
The pain, the sorrow and the desire for revenge that is reflected in the eyes and faces of the
attendees helps to set the stage for the subsequent scenes in the movie where the bombing run on
Japan occurs. While I do have to admit that there are an assortment of better scenes in the movie
such as the scene where Danny dies and tells Rafe with his last breath that Rafe will be a father or
the ending scene where Rafe and his young son ride off in a small plane, the fact remains that these
scenes could be attributed to any other fictional movie while the memorial scene truly embodies the

Assess the reasons for the Greek victory over the Persians...
Assess the reasons for the Greek victory over the Persians in 490 to 480/479 BC. Make a judgement
based on outcome, results and values.
The reasons for the Greek victory against the Persians in 490 to 480/479 BC was a mixture of
exceptional leadership, skilful tactics and strategy, superior weapons and soldiers, and Greek unity.
Strong leadership was the most important aspect of the Greek defence, as without the intelligence
and bravery of the leaders, the Greeks would have been easily defeated. As a result of the excellent
leadership; Greek tactics, strategy, and unity were greatly strengthened. Combined with their better
weapons and soldiers, the Greeks held the advantage and seized opportunities at the perfect moment.

It is this arrogance and poor insight from the Persian leaders that added to a Greek victory.
After the death of Darius, his son Xerxes was persuaded by his overconfident advisor Mardonius to
attack the Greeks, and in doing so, Mardonius exaggerated Greek weaknesses and character. Even
when Damaratus repeatedly told Xerxes that the Spartans were the bravest and best fighters of Greece
, Xerxes still mocked them for their appearance and actions. For four whole days he suffered to go
by, expecting that the Greeks would run away. (Herodotus)
Contrasting with Persia s arrogant and assuming leaders, Greece produced the finest leadership
after Marathon. Themistokles was an example of excellent leadership, as he prepared for the
possibility of renewed attacks from Persia. He fortified the Piraeus bay, and used surplus to build
100 new triremes to fight against the Persians.
The pre eminent importance of his statesmanship was due in the first place to his insight in
discerning the potentialities of his city and in grasping her situation before any one else had
grasped it; and then to his energy in initiating, and his adroitness and perseverance in following, a
policy which raised his city, and could alone have raised her, to the position which she attained
before his death. (Bury Meiggs)
Themistokles clever tactics and strategy emerged from his high quality leadership, as he carefully
selected the positions
How Cricket Has Impacted My Life
There is nothing better than the sound a cricket ball makes when it hits the wickets, or the feeling
of a cricket ball in your hands. Cricket has changed and impacted my life for the better, and has
created memories that I would never trade for. Playing cricket at a young age caused it to be a
huge part of my life. Playing and watching cricket was my first love. I grew up watching cricket
legends such as Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar battle against each other. Cricket has taught
me many things about life; it taught me how to listen, how to be a leader, and how to be a good
teammate while working well with others. Cricket has also taught me that sometimes you have to
lose some before you can win some, and that success requires hard work.
Mastery Of Trust Research Paper
The mastery of losing a loved one s trust is a skill that will take a large amount of time. This ability
will make some endure plenty of steps, and make one feel alone, heartbroken, and pathetic at points
of the procedure.
This topic is not necessarily a happy one. This will bring loneliness and sorrow to the subject
attempting this. This topic is only present in my life because of my recluse family. The first occasion
in the Fowlks family was due to Uncle Jeremy. Jeremy was always shy and hated being around his
family, the day after he graduated from high school he moved out of his parent s house. Nowadays
when our family goes over to see him the doors are locked and lights are out, no one is ever home.
Jeremy s brother Chris was the complete opposite, Chris was the trouble maker of the family. After
thousands of military schools Chris got married. Chris married his high school sweetheart and ended
up with three kids. A lot like his brother, Chris now never answers his phone, door, and texts. ... Show

that, start asking what kind of illegal things they usually do, try to fit in. Next, one will need to
