South Carolina Football Research Paper
South Carolina football was founded in 1892. They have had many good seasons and some bad
seasons. For example, they have won their division which is the SEC once. Their all time record
against Clemson is 8 12. Clemson is their rival and so is Georgia. They call the game between
South Carolina and Clemson the battle of the Palmetto state. The rivalry started when both teams
were established and they realized they had to play each other for the title of the state. They have
also won the SEC title one time and have won the national title zero times. During the of Steve
Spurrior his record was 228 89 2. He coached at South Carolina university for 11 of his coaching
years. Then he quit after his 11th season. They have also had one player that
Comparison Of The Salem Witch Trials And The Salem Witch...
The Comparison of the Salem Witch Trials and the Witch Trials in Great Britain Witch hysterias
have occurred around the world, however, there are many variations of how and why suspected
witches were tried. Although they occurred a few decades apart, the Salem Witch Trials and the
witch trials in Great Britain have a variety of parallels. Witchcrafttraces back to early Christianity and
can be found throughout European history (Witch hunt 34). However, each country dealt with witch
hysteria in their own ways. For example, the countries that are encompassed in Great Britain:
England, Scotland, and Wales. All three of these countries viewed witchcraft in a slightly different
way. England s witch hunts began during the late seventh century when Archbishop of Canterbury
Theodore declared that the punishment of witchcraft would be a period of fasting. Throughout the
centuries punishment for witchcraft changed depending on the current ruler; sentences included
fasting, time in the pillory, banishment, and death. During the reign of Elizabeth I a new witchcraft
act was signed that led to the death of nearly 100 people (Witch hunt 21). However, when James I
ascended the throne he pushed a new act through English Parliament that overruled the Elizabethan
Witchcraft Act. His act forced harsher punishments on convicted witches. Throughout the next
eighty years, many more accused witches were executed. During trials, witches could be found
guilty based solely on
Fairness And Equality Within The Criminal Justice System
Introduction The question of fairness and equality in the criminal justice system has its original
roots dating back to the Magna Carta in 1215 AD. The latest document to define the criminal justice
is the United States Constitution which specifically in the 14th amendment which states no state
can make or enforce laws on its citizens, nor shall they deprive a person of life, liberty, or property
without due process of law, nor will they deny equal protection of the laws . Section one of the
fourteenth amendment means that the states cannot make any laws or enforce them on any person
without due process and makes it illegal to deny equal protection. The founding fathers envisioned a
justice system that is blind as evidenced by the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our past is full of cases that represent the inequality of the criminal justice system. In the landmark
U.S. Supreme Court case of Plessy V Ferguson, in 1896 the court upheld racial segregation and
made the separate but equal the standard doctrine of the United States until 1954, when the Supreme
Court handed down the decision in Brown v Board of Education which made the racial segregation
illegal and highlighted the protections offered in the fourteenth amendment as it relates to equal
protection. Despite the 14th Amendment s promise of life and liberty under the law, this group of
Americans found themselves subject to another law, known as the Jim Crow Laws. These were a
group of laws passed primarily in the southern states during reconstruction and lasting until around
1965, were established to make sure that the whites were treated differently than the blacks, in
everyday life, including the criminal justice system. Even though the Jim Crow era has passed by,
we unfortunately have come to the conclusion that we have just entered a new era of Jim Crow. We
are arguably no longer under Jim Crow or de jure discrimination; however, unfortunately and
regrettably, we are presently realizing manifest de facto discrimination, or the new Jim Crow
(Durrant, 2015). Statistics show that over 40 percent of students who are expelled from school today
are African American and over 70 percent of students who are referred to law enforcement for
criminal activity are

Essay on Renewable Energy
When the new Southeast Polk High School opened they added many new energy saving products.
This included installing geothermal heating under the high school cutting back on the cost of
heating such a large building. Many new windows help save on energy used to light the building
along with automatic lights that turn off after several minutes without movement. The new high
school shows how easy it is to save money and help the environment. Renewable energyis good for
all aspects of the U.S, providing jobs, economical growth, environmental cleanliness, and new
research for improving energy efficiency. Therefore the United States should use renewable energy
to benefit the economy and environment. The main way the environment is... Show more content on

Some may believe that renewable energy is not beneficial.
In contrast, some believe that renewable energy is a key factor involved in helping the economy
to grow. Many jobs are created in the manufacturing and running of renewable energy plants. The
renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies created 8.5 million new jobs and $970
billion in revenue in the year 2006 (Langwith, Renewable Energy is Economically ). The
American Solar Energy Society says by 2030 it could generate up to $4.5 trillion in revenue for
the U.S and create 40 million new jobs. This would represent one in every four jobs (Langwith,
Renewable Energy is Economically ). This shows how vital it is to get renewable energy
companies in the U.S. It is important to build a stable economy again and do it all while helping the
environment. The environment is negatively affected be the burning of fossil fuels. The affects of
the gases contribute to global warming, along with acid rain and polluted air. This pollution cuts
short an estimated 30,000 American lives according to the Clean Air Task Force (Rich). The United
States must stop using fossil fuels because the gases produce harm the environment we live causing
harm to come all the citizens. The future of energy production will
The Use and Abuse of Visual Culture in Adult Cartoons
The Use and Abuse of Visual Culture in Adult Cartoons
The Oxford dictionary defines visual as A9 picture, piece of film, or display used to illustrate or
accompany something and culture as The arts and other manifestations of human intellectual
achievement regarded collectively . However there isn t a definition for visual culture in the oxford
dictionary. This is because Visual culture is limitless and ever changing which makes it difficult to
define. An attempt to define visual culture is a reflection of everyday attitudes, behaviours, ideas and
mannerisms on works of art rather than its aesthetic value.
A cartoon is described in the oxford dictionary as a simplified or exaggerated version or

Characters such as Micky mouse, Donald duck, Bugs bunny and Daffy Duck were shown on
television screens in many homes. These characters and their crazy personas caught the eyes of
many children and as they had very little dialogue and simple plots and storylines they were easy
enough for children to watch. These Cartoonists created cartoons that shaped what was known as
Saturday morning cartoons . There were also a lot of governing bodies such as the Hayes code
(1930 to 1968) which kept cartoons innocent and ensured that adult themes were kept out of
cartoons, epically those appearing on television, this brought about a decline in adults watching
cartoons as most cartoons at the time were too simple minded and not complex enough for adults.
However the comic book industry still thrived and was aimed at a slightly older audience.
Later on in the 1960 s Hanna Barbera created cartoons such as Scooby doo, the Flintstones and the
Jetsons. These cartoons had more dialogue than the average cartoons, contained more clever and
witty jokes and were well suited for an adult as well as a younger audience. They focused on the
average family and showed some of the issues faced in family life. Some argue that the Flintstones
was the first mainstream adult cartoon to go on air. The Flintstones was originally aimed at an adult
audience and the first two seasons were

On most Linux distributions the package management system can download and install MySQL
with minimal effort, though further configuration is often required to adjust security and
optimization settings.
Though MySQL began as a low end alternative to more powerful proprietary databases, it has
gradually evolved to support higher scale needs as well. It is still most commonly used in small to
medium scale single server deployments, either as a component in a LAMP based web application
or as a standalone database server. Much of MySQL s appeal originates in its relative simplicity and
ease of use, which is enabled by an ecosystem of open source tools such as php MyAdmin. In the
medium range, MySQL can be scaled by deploying it on more powerful hardware, such as a multi
processor server with gigabytes of memory.
The master server synchronizes continually with its slaves so in the event of failure a slave can be
promoted to become the new master, minimizing downtime. Further improvements in performance
can be achieved by caching the results from
Religious Influence In William Bradford s Plymouth Plantation
William Bradford, the author of the Plymouth Plantation, was a huge leader in the Puritan period. A
Puritan of descent and learning, Bradford played a leading role in in the Separatist movement and
was elected Governor of Plymouth Colony thirty one times. Praised as a commanding work of
literary art, Plymouth Plantation remains one of the founding works of American Literature. As for
William Bradford s writing style, he wrote in a straightforward and plain style, which is a reflection
of the way Puritans were encouraged to live their lives. Simple and humble, avoiding pride by
avoiding literary words and phrases. Puritans, such as William Bradford, was the name given in the
16th century to the more serious Protestants within the Church of England who thought the English
Reformation had not gone far enough in reforming the doctrines and structure of the church. They
wanted to purify their national church by taking out every piece of Catholic influence. William
Bradford wanted to convert every religion expect for Puritans. His main target were the Native

An Evidence Based Practice Report
Evidence Based Practice Report
Throughout time education and specifically special education has evolved. Laws have changed, acts
have been passed, but most importantly research has been conducted on how students with
exceptionalities learn best. Through the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and Elementary
and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) require that schools use programs, curricula, and practices
based on scientifically based research to the extent practicable ( Evidence Based... , 2011).
Educational interventions should be strongly supported by evidence of well conducted research
studies ( Evidence Based... , 2011). Some of the criteria includes: using a sound research design,
research is based on high quality data analysis, and other researchers are involved to review the
results ( Evidence Based... , 2011). Research based practices can be matched to a student s
individual needs and skills in the classroom starting during the IEP process ( Evidence Based... ,
2011).
The US Department of Education defines general education curriculum as curriculum that is based
on the State s academic content standards for the grade in which a child is enrolled or the same
curriculum as for nondisabled children (Yudin Musgrove, 2015, p. 4). Therefore, special education,
related services, supplementary aides and other supports of the child s IEP must be designed to

Free Cash Flow and Butler
Introduction Butler Capital Partners (Butler) is an investment fund founded in 1990. Butler closed
its first private equity fund, European Strategic Fund, in 1991. This first fund was mainly focusing
on small family owned enterprises and on divisions of larger companies. Mainly of his first success
he closed in 1998 his second fund, Private Equity II, and Butler became one of the largest
independent funds in France. With his second fund he would focus on investments in France on a
larger scale. On April 29, 1999, a new investment opportunity arose for Butler: Autodistribution (AD).
AD is an entrepreneurial firm and has become the largest independent automotive parts wholesaler in
France by the end of the 1990s. This report starts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Butler found some important development opportunities for AD: (1) an increase in penetration rate
of AD s CBU among the affiliates by setting up an efficient IT system for purchasing, (2) external
growth opportunities in France by integration of affiliates or acquisitions of independent
wholesalers, (3) expansion opportunities in Europe provided by the fragmentation of the industry,
(4) low competition on acquisitions because of the lack of players able to afford a dynamic build up
strategy, (5) strong growth potential of industrial supplies segment and (6) potential of development
of fleet maintenance and agreements with insurance companies. These opportunities will result in an
increase in gross margins through acquisition of independent wholesalers and integration of
affiliated wholesalers. Furthermore, a reduction of operation costs can be the result, because of the
IT system. With the existence of an efficient IT system, the margins can be improved or the prices
can be cut and these effects are even stronger with consolidation / expanding in the European market.
Besides these opportunities there is an opportunity for an e business market. Butler stated this as
one edge over the competitors . Thus by expanding the business (through e business, acquisitions,
integration) and making use of the new technology systems, AD could realize significant margin
improvement. These high margin improvements are expected to increase from 32.3% in 1999 to
Brian Pellot s Oppression In Brave New World
Contrarily, forcing society to follow a religion leads individuals to oppression. Religion reflects
one s ideals and beliefs. Society cannot be peer pressured into religion; it holds a more spiritual
value. When forced into a religion, some may begrudgingly accept the religious values; others may
fight to defend their beliefs opposed to society s. Powerful passion towards religionleads to protests,
wars, and other acts of violence. With similar passion, governments strive to enforce religion.
Officials retaliate by deeming rebellious citizens as threats, ostracizing them from communities
through imprisonment. Global strategist and religious newswriter, Brian Pellot, addresses his
concern with religious freedom, Countries of Particular Concern ... Show more content on

Individuals are not always given the opportunity to choose their religion. Communities strive for
freedom of religion, their right to support their own faith and build relationships with a religious
figure they trust. Other nations grant the right to practice religion; however, religion is not
supported. Through education standards and political debates, the advertisement of religion spreads
throughout the nation. Individuals not only desire to practice their own religion, but the right to
proclaim and share religion with others. Religion transforms to a support, escape, and motivation for
society to persevere through trying times. Historians, such as Christopher Columbus, found
inspiration in religion to work and pursue in their lives. Loewen accents his concern for censoring
education in his novel Lies My Teacher Told Me. Columbus aspires, Most important, his purpose
from the beginning was not mere exploration or even trade, but conquest and exploitation, for which
he used religion as a rationale (Loewen 45). Columbus completed his most successful task by trusting
in his religion. Most textbooks fail to mention the religious influence that protected Columbus. The
youth never learns of the impact that religion placed on history. They learn of the holy wars and the
corrupt governments, but the healing power of religion is never stressed.
The Gameplay Of The Xbox One
The Xbox One The Xbox One being the main competitor of the PS4 was launched in 2013, the
consoles introductory price was £429 which was much more that the PS4, the console once again
include Xbox Live and has sold around 3 million units as of 2013, with 10 million units being
shipped over, the console increased the emphasis on cloud computing and the integration of
entertainment applications and services, they did this by offering players the ability to overlay
live television programs for an existing box set and essentially use the console as a TV system as
well as a gaming system. Personal Computers PC s currently have the most optimized gaming
platforms to date, the hardware of which is made commonly by third party companies and can be
integrated to then develop a computer to its best performance. In turn this allows the PC to reach
higher frame rates than an ordinary console can achieve, and also produces better graphics and
other visuals. PC s include a very unique hardware development for example the CPU s, Memory
size and the GPU s are a lot more advanced than standard consoles. One of the main limitations that
Personal Computers have is the sheer price of the parts, PC s are expensive, and with the ability
to constantly upgrade your system you can spend up to £2000 on a gaming pc with high spec
hardware, another issue is that PC s are not very portable due to the size of the overall system such
as, the tower, the monitors, the keyboard and mouse and all of the

Analysis Of Andrew Jackson s The White House Essay
Andrew Jackson once said, Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop
thinking and go in. Andrew Jackson was an individual who was filled with integrity, grit,
determination, and other values that encompass a good leader. The chosen book about this man is
titled American Lion: Andrew Jacksonin the White House. The creator of this Pulitzer Prize winning
novel would be Jon Meacham. The Chattanooga born author graduated at The University of the
South in Sewanee, Tennessee as the salutatorian, and acquiring a degree summa cum laude in
English Literature. He might as well become a history teacher with his knowledge on various
historical concepts and people. With notorious books ranging from Making of a Nation to
Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power. Andrew Jackson is regarded as one of the greatest of the
founding fathers; with a scarred uprising as a child, and the actions he took for this country, it s
easy to see why some historians might think this. This president always seemed like an interesting
figure to learn more about. Therefore, with a 353 page long book solely about him, it was deemed
as the best choice. The book is composed of 34 chapters. Each following a timeline of his
beginnings, accomplishments, and final days. In order to provide a brief synopsis/summary, it is
important to provide information pertaining to every chapter, some elaborated on more than others.
