Dark Knight Themes
The Dark Knight
Drama Films are a genre that show serious stories, they re more realistic than other genres out there
because quite often they deal with real life situations. The characters always have some kind of
conflict; they show humans at their worst, best, and in between. There s a wide range of themes for
drama films, to name just a few: current issues, societal ills, injustice, political unrest, corruption of
power, and corrupt societal institutions. The Dark Knight touches on quite a few of these themes.
Joker in his own twisted way spends a majority of the film trying to show Batman how corrupt
Gotham is. You see a good man broken down by a series of unfortunate events and turned into
something bad. You see a city believe in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christopher Nolan s The Dark Knight is a haunted film that leaps beyond its origins and becomes
an engrossing tragedy. It creates characters we come to care about. That s because of the
performances, because of the direction, because of the writing, and because of the superlative
technical quality of the entire production. This film, and to a lesser degree Iron Man, redefine the
possibilities of the comic book movie. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 94% with an average rating of 8.6
out of 10. Its critics consensus says: dark, complex and unforgettable, The Dark Knight succeeds not
just as an entertaining comic book film, but as a richly thrilling crime saga.
The two scenes that stuck most with me were both between the Joker and Batman, the interrogation
scene and the final scene of the film between them. What made those two scenes so strong was the
writing and the acting, both actors were fantastic, and even though the Joker is clearly insane, some
of things he said did ring true about

b. On the other hand, D.H. Lawrence uses the setting to vividly draw in the audience. Allowing the
audience to partake in the story. c. Reinstate the Thesis Statement. Through the compare and contrast
of these short stories, we witness the importance of the functioning use of a setting.

The setting in any story creates an atmosphere where the audience can be drawn in. An author
may choose to use the setting of a story to allow the audience a detailed visual or the setting may
be used to distract the reader. Setting is a very important aspect in any story and that is very true
in the two short stories that are about to be shared. The Lottery , by Shirley Jackson and The
Rocking Horse Winner , by D.H. Lawrence provide two contrasting uses of Setting in a short story
which accentuate the importance of the element in a story. One author has the ability to distract
the reader, while the other author creates the structure of the story. The Lottery is a short story
about an event that takes place annually in a small town in New England; it is not a lottery for
money but that of death. In short, it is a lottery for stoning a member of the town. The people of
the town gather at a designated area and perform a customary gesture that has seemed to be going
on for years. The people of the town are almost joyful, and have a blissful attitude while they sort
through the process, and once a member is identified,
Those Are The Orders, By Albert Camus
People choose every day in different circumstances and degrees either small imperceptible one,
such as the color of the shirt that they will wear, or huge emotional and moral dilemmas like an
abort or a high risk surgery. Nonetheless, there is always a decision made that has its consequences
(want or not). Albert Camus uses characterization to address the importance of choices. The author
uses the character of Balducci to show what happens when people follow the rules without doubt.
For example, when Balducci arrives into the school to leave the Arab with Daru, and Daru shows
himself discontent with that unforeseen problem, he says, Those are the orders (Camus). Balducci
as a man of law must follow whatever thing is said to him, and he... Show more content on

First, Daru is a schoolmaster who lives in a school upon a rocky and solitary plateau. His job as a
teacher is not a casualty because a professor is the person who teaches and plants the knowledge
and moral over the new generations, and it is his mission to inculcates those ideas upon his
students. Additionally, by he living in a plateau is a representation of his moral superiority over
the other people, and he has the reason and understands the environment and all the cultures that
coexist together in that region. However, his moral superiority is threat by the arrive of Balducci
and the Arab because Balducci impose a problem over him, and he now must take a decision
which he does not wish for. For example, Daru says, [E]very bit of this disgusts me... (Camus).
He is deeply frustrated for this sudden complication, and he will rather not to do anything.
Besides, the narrator states, He was amazed at the unmixed joy he derived from the mere thought
that the Arab might have fled and that he would be alone with no decision to make (Camus). If
the Arab escape, he will have no choice to make; thus, he will go back to his moral equilibrium;
nevertheless, the Arab never tries to run away, and now his is facing a dilemma: That man s stupid
crime revolted him, but to hand him over was contrary to honor (Camus). He as the Arab does not
know what to do or choose; this situation is killing him, and he need
Multi Team Healthcare
Introduction Cancer clinical trials require multi team systems to provide cohesive care that promotes
enrollment and provides effective treatment for patients. Research and clinic teams often have
different goals; the research team prioritizes protocol implementation and the clinic team prioritizes
clinic care. An inability to coordinate cancer care through distribution of responsibilities,
communication and understanding of goals can ultimately lead to rivalries, differing perceptions and
affect the efficiency of the multi team system. Although there are studies exploring these dynamics
within multi teams, there is limited information on this in the setting of cancer care. Methods The
study analyzed multi team care in five categories: group identity, perceived objectives/goals,
perceived information sharing/interaction frequency, perceived group homogeneity and perceived
contributions to outcomes. The survey was modeled from the validated research studies on social
identity theory and adapted for cancer care. Two versions were developed for the groups studied
(research and clinic team) and each was assigned as its respective in group. All group perceptions
were identified addressing each of the five... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was found that the clinic team identified with their in group and the Cancer center similarly while
the research team identified more strongly with their own team than with the Cancer Center. Teams
found their own goals clearer than the out group s goals as well as the Cancer Center s. The clinic
team also indicated that the Cancer Center goals were not as well understood by the out group
(research team). Both teams identified information sharing was greater among their respective in
groups versus their out group and Cancer Center. The research teams found research outcomes more
important than did clinic teams. Both groups found their group more homogenous than the
Io Research Paper
The Io Volcano Observer (IVO) is one mission under the New Frontiers program planned to
launch on May 29th, 2021 and reach Jupiter by 2026. Led by Alfred McEwen of the University of
Arizona, it is focused on observing one of Jupiter s satellites, Io, which has been deemed one of the
best satellites for studying tidal heating and the histories of terrestrial planets due to its active
volcanic surface. The aforementioned tidal heating is directly correlated to the habitable zones of
planetary systems and, thus, could help us better understand how a planetary system becomes
habitable and which planetary systems, aside from our own, currently are. IVO also plans to
understand the interior structure of Io, particularly the melting fraction of the magnetosphere.
Furthermore, the vitality of IVO is its allowance for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Technische Universität Braunschweig and will be used to to characterize magnetospheric
interactions with Io, and perhaps place tighter constraints on whether or not Io has an internally
generated magnetosphere (McEwen). However, if the payload is increased, there is the
possibility for the inclusion of a wide angle camera, a second INMS, a contributed NIR
spectrometer similar to that of JIRAM in the Juno mission, a deployable boom for FGM, an
energetic particle detector, and a student built dust detector. One may argue that a previous
mission, Galileo, has already achieved all that IVO is intending to achieve and makes another
mission unnecessary. However, IVO is expected to collect 20 GB of scientific data per encounter,
which is nearly 100 times the Galileo mission received. Similarly, IVO is expected to only receive
less than 10% of the ionizing radiation dose as Galileo. Lastly, as mentioned before, the technology
on IVO is much more advanced than that found in Galileo and, therefore, will give not only more
information but more detailed
Symbolism In Catcher In The Rye
Growing Pains Where has my heart gone An uneven trade for the real world Oh I... I want to go
back to Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all ( Evanescence) This rings true to
everyone who hears it because there is beauty in the simplicity of a child s life. Even when
transitioning from stages in life, the wanting to go back to the days of purity is an inevitable feeling.
In The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger uses motifs, symbols, and extended metaphors to convey the
theme that innocence can not be prevented. Saliger uses motifs which allows the reader to
understand vulnerability from being shown into the adult world through the use of the hunting hat
and estrangement from his surroundings by the migration of the ducks.... Show more content on

J.D. Salinger uses antithetical symbols to highlight the message that childhood purity cannot be
prolonged. In the museum Holden admires, in that museum was that everything always stayed
right where it was. Nobody d move (Salinger 134). He stares longingly at the class cases and
wishes he could have put himself in that case along with the child he feels he needs to protect.
This enclosure represents closure and stability for him. As Holden wrestles with with wanting
Phoebe to stay innocent forever, the carousel started, and I watched her go round and round. All
the kids tried to grap for the gold ring, and so was old Phoebe, and I was sort of afraid she d fall
off the goddam horse, but I didn t say or do anything. The thing with kids is, if they want to grab
for the gold ring, you have to let them do it, and not say anything. If they fall off, they fall off, but
it is bad to say anything to them (Salinger 208). Holden shows improvement in maturity and in
impulse control when he makes the deliberate decision to let her go by herself. He usually does
what he want to do. He rarely thinks before doing anything, but he realizes that she is growing up
and he can not stop her from seeing and feeling the corruption of the world. Throughout The Catcher
in the Rye extended metaphors are used to express the importance of the overall message. Holden
feels as though he must preotct the kids from the corruptions he sees everyday: I
Oklahoma Law Argumentative Essay
Freeman no longer has to be worried about being put behind bars for taking Foster s life when he
saved Sorrells and her three month old twins. The District Attorney for Pontotoc County ruled the
shooting that caused the death of the woman s ex boyfriend was justifiable use of deadly force
under Oklahoma Law, clearing Freeman from facing murder charges, according to KTLA. The
justifiable homicide law is defined as: The lawful defense of such person or of another, when the
person using force reasonably believes such force is necessary to prevent death or great bodily
harm to himself or herself or another. The statement from the district attorney s office read: Mr.

kindergarten to 3rd grade; 4 girls and 10 boys. My class in a self contained classroom teaching
students functional academic as well as social/emotional skills. I have 2 teacher assistants that under
my guidance assist me with the daily activities and lessons throughout the school day. This class
consists of a diverse population of students; I have 4 Native American students, 1 African American
student, 4 Hispanic students, and 5 causation students all of my student have some form of
disability and all are on individual education plans. There are a wide variety of abilities, especially in
phonics and reading. The majority of the students struggle to comprehend what has been read but
because I enjoy a verbally active class with lots of verbal interactions they ve been getting more
engaged with one another throughout the semester. All of my student speak English, although some
of my students are non verbal; all receive speech/language services. Because of the variety of needs
of my students, collaboration with their support team of general education teachers, speech/language
therapists, physical and occupational therapists is essential in planning appropriately for this and
other lessons. Their range of abilities influence my instruction. I chose Kenneth because of his

Effects Of Eating Animals On Animals
Imagine a world with no plants. A world where animals starve because their food has been used
up. A world where everything is dying. An apocalyptic, barren world. This is the track the world is
on right now due to how many people are eating vegetables these days and vegetarians and vegans
are the worst offenders! The implications of eating vegetables and other plantlife are vast. As a
result, plant eaters are depleting the amount of oxygen made in our world by these plants which
means there is less oxygen for us humans to breathe. Eating these plants robs the animals of their
food. Animals need food too, and it is just selfish to pilfer their food to be healthy, or to protect the
animals. Eating meatafter the animals eat the plants is just as healthy as it is for us to eat the plants
directly. Eating plants is extremely inhumane. These plants are alive when people eat them. They
can feel everything that is happening. The quivering foliage live their lives in fear of the humans
that will pluck them from the earthand viciously chow down on their limbs. At least when humans
eat animals, the animals are already dead. But not plants. They feel every. Single. Bite. Pulling
parents away from children, individuals away from their community, and for what? Our own selfish
gain? Not only does eating plants hurt animals and the plants themselves, but it destroys our planet.
Most importantly, landscaping will appear horrible. There will be no more beautiful flowers because
