The Human Relationship Between God And God
God and humans have had a relationship since God created them. This relationship started with
humans thinking of God as their father and creator, and a God who forgives. We think of God this
way because as humans we can be hospitable and kind, but we can also not follow God s plan and
make mistakes. These mistakes reveal the forgiveness in God, and our hospitality and kindness show
that God is our Father and loves us. Humans direct relationship with God allows him to work
through us and show humans how he wants us to act and behave to achieve salvation. As a child
I perceived God as a father figure, God the Father. When I was in Catholic schools for elementary
school we learned all about how God created us. Not only in that way does God act as a father, but
also in that he loves us no matter what. For example, when Adam and Eveate the fruit from the tree
of knowledge God punishes them, but he takes care of them after. This act of care after Adam
and Eve have done something wrong shows how God is a father and will still care for his
children even of they do something wrong. God acts as my father would protecting and caring for
me through everything. Even after I learned more about God I still thought about him as a father,
but then I thought of him more deeply as he forgives us which is a big task. We learn that God
forgives all our sins so we can live a life for God, and meet him in salvation. For example in Cain
and Abel, Cain sinned because he killed his brother Abel. Although Cain sins God does not
abandon him, God punishes him for his wrong deed but still protects him. The protection that
God gives Cain is God s way of forgiving him. God forgave Cain and still cares for him as his child.
God did not kill Cain for killing Abel, or abandon him he forgives him and moves on. Now after
studying Genesis in high school I learn that God is much for than a father and he forgives us, I
learn that he is always listening to us and that he is all knowing. I know that God is always
listening to our prayers because when Hagar and Ishmael were dying in the desert with no food or
water God came to them. God heard them and gave them a well to drink out of for water. God is all
knowing because in Adam and Eve, God knew
Electro Swing And Its Place Of Music History
ELECTRO SWING AND ITS PLACE IN MUSIC HISTORY
Pedro Osuna Ardoy

Although many people would argue that electro swing is to be heard as EDM and not as jazz,
electro swing can actually help us rethink the lines we draw between jazz and dance music because
it shares the function of early jazz more than jazz as art music. What is electro swing anyway? A
lot of people ask themselves this question, and nobody seems to have a closed answer. The
website electro swing.com tries, but ultimately concludes that it s rather difficult to give a precise
definition. According to Tom Hyland, of The Electric Swing Circus, electro swing is not even
necessarily an independent genre in its own right, but more of a flavor , a way of adding swing to
existing electro genres. This would situate the genre in EDM history, not in jazz, but opinions are
diverse in this matter.
This is an image from the song Suzy, by the french band Caravan Palace. If you observe carefully,
you first notice the fact that the instrumentation is that of swing bands: violin, double bass,
clarinet and jazz guitar (usually in gypsy jazz style). Their outfits emulate those of the 30 s and
40 s, aesthetic supported also by that vintage gramophone in the back, from which the DJ is
programming and mixing. Next to the lead singer is another member of the band, dressed as a
robot. This is why electro swing is best understood as a hybrid, being jazz and EDM equally
important for its birth. This is not the first time jazz and
Effects Of British Occupation
The British empire compromised everything ruled or administered by the United Kingdom and its
predecessor states. The overseas possessions/territories and trading posts was established by
England in the late 16th centuries and the early 18th centuries. When it was at its greatest, it was
the largest empire in history and also the foremost global power. The empire was controlling over a
fifth of the world s total land area. After the British empirelost its colonies in North America, they
turned towards Asia, Africa, and the pacific. One of the territories they occupied later on was Hong
Kong, who was going to be under control by British occupation from 1841 until the end of the 1990
s. The occupation of Hong Kong improved the economy,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The people could feel it by getting better infrastructure, expansion of houses/more inhabitants, more
types of trading goods/luxury items, and safety from outside forces because of the British empire s
promise. A downside with this would be the two opium wars, where the Lin dynasty was trying to
end the opium trade into China. This caused several deaths (most on the Qing China side). It also
caused trouble for the international trading, since the Chinese was trying to boycott the trading.
The British occupation improved the politics in Hong Kong. During the first opium war, Elliot
negotiated with Lin s successor. Qishan. This treaty was to be named the treaty of Nanking, which
included the cession of the Hong Kong island and its harbor to the British imperial crown. The treaty
failed to please the British empire because of their expectations of making a major expansion of
trade and profit. After a variety of smaller conflicts, Palmerston (foreign secretary) appointed Lord
Elgin as plenipotentiary with the aim of securing a new and satisfactory treaty with the Chinese. The
occupation of Beijing and the capture of the Taku Forts led to the convention of Peking (an
agreement compromising three distinct treaties concluded between the Qing empire (China),
Identity in Sir Thomas Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur Essay
Identity in Sir Thomas Malory s Le Morte d Arthur

It can be difficult to define the unifying themes of Sir Thomas Malory s Le Morte d Arthur ; it can
seem a tangle of random adventures mired with magic and religion, love and fate. What is the
purpose behind all the seemingly similar adventures of so many similar knights? And what is the
place that the books of Sir Trystram hold? These books make up the longest section of the work,
yet Trystram plays no role in the search for the Holy Grail or the downfall of Arthur. There are many
parallels drawn between Trystram and Launcelot: they are both the greatest knights of their time,
both the greatest lovers, both become mad for a short time, etc. What distinguishes Trystram from

The Sir Froll episode begins when Sir Lamerok sees four knights fighting against one and he
determines to rescue the sole knight (Malory, 337 341). The end is when Sir Bellyaunce, Sir Froll s
brother, reconciles with Lamerok after they fight to exhaustion. Mann, looking at this episode solely
in terms of distance and wholeness (leaving a fellowship to follow a quest creates distance and the
formality of identifying oneself creates wholeness by uniting the two jousting knights), finds that the
meaning of the episode becomes confused:

Yet if Bellyaunce s revelation discloses their linkage as a chronological sequence, it also disrupts
their coherence at the level of meaning: the knight whom Lamorak had so recently been at pains
to rescue from death is the very same one that he himself turns out to have killed for no very
compelling reason as it seems to us a few days later. Lamorak s second tangential entry into a
sequence of events negates the effect of his first; the pattern created by his adventures, when
revealed, proves to be one with which he cannot identify himself in terms of motive or consistency
with his own past actions (5).

However, if one looks at the Sir Froll episode as conflicts and resolutions of complicated identities,
then there is consistency of meaning and the episodes
The Tale Of The Crazed Hook Man Or Death By Tanning Bed
Urban legends exist in every society and change with the times adapting to the new innovations
that occur. An urban legend is a story that has been passed down through generations with the
intention of being informative whether it causes fear or joy. The only problem with urban
legends is the fact that they are so hard to be proven true. Sometimes they have actual events
attached with them but are obviously false; people try to attach relevant topics to legends to make
them more believable. Some examples of these are the tale of the crazed Hook man or death by
tanning bed. Each was related to some kind of event that was popular but it made it more
believable. The legend that has caught my eye is the tale of the Hookman because it causes fearand
creates an atmosphere that is similar to a foggy night: thick and visibility is limited. The legend
adds a sense of fear and anxiety, which will discussed in the latter part of the paper. The main
focus is to show what causes these two emotions and how they relate to the myth. The Hook man
legend is about when a couple at the local Lover s Lane hears on the radio about an escaped mental
patient. This patient has been said to be headed in the direction of their location and one hand has
been replaced with a meat hook. After hearing this, the girl becomes frightened and wants to be
taken home, but at first her boyfriend doesn t want to leave. She persisted that she be taken home
right away, so the boyfriend, being understanding
Gender Bias And Its Effect On Education
Leedy, LaLonde, and Runk (2003) found that their data supported and built on the findings of other
researchers concerning gender stereotypes. They found that girls who were motivated and had
mathematical talent were still subject to the effects of gender bias and that they had decreased
confidence in their mathematical abilities. The research also indicated a continuing belief that math
is a maledomain. Females did not acknowledge the stereotype and felt the survey was biased and
insulting and left comments saying so. No such comments were left by males. The belief by men
that math is a male domain, coupled with the failure of women to acknowledge the biases existence
sets up an unrealistic relationship. The researchers postulated that rather than denying biases exist,
we must acknowledge them so that we can move on and reform education. They felt that the reforms
need to occur outside, as well as inside, the classroom, and must include parents, especially mothers.
The attitudes of all parties involved must be changed for reform to be effective.
Riegle Crumb and Moore (2013) found that females were underrepresented in the engineering course
they studied. Although female students made up 50% of the enrollment at the high schools, they
only comprised an average of 14% of course enrollees. Women in the classes shared similar
academic backgrounds with their male classmates, but the women were more likely to have a parent
who worked in engineering or a scientific field.
Summary Of Nehemiah In The Oxford Bible
In relation to the historical background of Nehemiah, in Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee. By J.
Vernon McGee, it states that Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the
king. The socio, on the other hand from The Oxford Bible Commentary, with editors John Barton
and John Muddiman, the exiles were under military power.
The literary structure of Nehemiah is a chiastic structure, as it has according to Mark A. Thorntveit s
Ezra Nehemiah Interpretation a Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching book, shows the
story following an ABXBA structure with the climax of opposition meaning the people who live
around the ruined Jerusalem did not like that the exiles came back and were building the wall again.
The big idea of this story according to Thorntveit is the narrative is carefully structured in five
sections whose main theme is to record four reports of the destruction of Jerusalem as a reproach
against God and the various responses made to those reports. As the quote says the focus of the
story of Nehemiah is the destruction of Jerusalem (Thorntveit, 62). The need to rebuild the wall of
Jerusalem was more of a symbolic building, according to Editor Marco Conti in Ancient Christian
Commentary on Scripture Old Testament V, 1 2 Kings, 1 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, the
wall was rebuilt because the devil has free entry into the church, as through the walls of a ruined
city. In the Oxford Commentary, the wall was a sign of social and political symbolism. The
rebuilding of the wall was significant because the Jews felt like they had to rebuild Jerusalem and to
do that they would also need to rebuild the wall that was destroyed when Jerusalem was invaded,
and the Jewish people were taken into their exile, for safety. According to David Brisben, author of
the book Introduction to Old Testament, the Jews rebuilt the wall for safety. Everyone wants to
feel safe in the city they live in, today we have police officers and laws. Back then all they had was
an army (the strength of the army depended on the strength of the leader of the kingdom), and walls,
so walls were very important to the people of the Biblical times. In relation to the challenges that
attempted
