The Importance Of Saying All Lives Matter
I strongly dislike when people lack understanding. When it comes to the Black Lives Matter
movement, why are people quick to raise All Lives Matter ? Instead of trying to understand the
hardship and racism that African Americans face, people are quick to be defensive and assume
that if Black lives matter then all of a sudden now no one elses lives matter. Saying All Lives
Matter is a selfish sentiment showing that people lack a level of compassion when it comes to an
issue that does not address them. I think that this an inhuman and wrong way of thinking. I believe
that having abortions are wrong because that is destroying a life created by God. I think that there
are natural ways to prevent pregnancysuch as natural family planning where
Future Of On Line Journalism Essay
The Future of On line Journalism
Interactivity is what most separates on line news from traditional news. Indexicality (using
hypertext links) is an important aspect of on line journalism because it frees up space and time for
the reader. People can explore international news and easily access the latest stories before the
papers get to print, all at the click of a mouse.
Many studies have been done on how people use web services. One of the major characteristics of
such use is searching through different hyperlinks. Hypertext enables people to see things through
new dimensions. Online journalists have to be innovative in the way they create news. Transparent
journalism, allowing readers to participate in the writing, is one ... Show more content on

A major component related to this subject not fully discussed in Gasher s piece on Interactivity is the
expansion of expressive impacts (Ferris). With the facilitation of individual interaction, writers as
well as readers can more freely express their individual view points on specific issues such as in
transparent journalism (Gasher) that allows readers to participate in the writing of stories. However,
societal pressures do remain and authors must keep a certain amount of autonomy, which is kept in
check by political, economic, organizational, and technological constraints (Scholl and
Weischenberg). Gasher points out that, with current evolution, our views have been able to gain a
new dimension due to hypertext interactivity yet the constraints mentioned by Scholl and
Weischengerg prove that certain aspects of those dimensions are filtered by society. These filters
constrain and monitor the functions of new media.
The media s functions include surveillance, interpretation, value transmission and entertainment.
These functions are often well carried out but not necessarily although the feedback is not always
available for viewing. Susan G Komen s Breast Cancer Foundation is a paradigm for modern
interactivity and surveillance. It includes hypertext links that ask readers what they feel, their
relations, how they are involved, how to express themselves and tells them how to get more involved
(Komen). The potential for feedback and monitoring is huge, but

cash from sales) and external sources of finance from outside the business (e.g. a bank loan). There
is a need of external financing for the expansion through acquisition. External financing is a good
source of raising money besides internal funds. As per business finance, external financing can
take the shape of two different types of financing, debt or equity. Debt financing includes bank
loans where a company gets financed by issuing debentures which they have to pay back after a
certain period of time. It is called debt financing because the company is in debt to the bond
holders and if they were to go bankrupt, the bond holders would have claim to any remaining
assets. In this case these are secured business loans. Equity financing is when a company decides
to give up ownership in the company to raise funds. This is usually done by selling company stock
to investors. Sometimes this could include seeking out angel investors or venture capitalists. If you
are expecting to get external financing through equity financing make sure that your business has a
product or service that is unique, and that there is a high demand for your product or service. Most
venture capital investors or even angel investors will not look at an offer unless they see a large
growth potential. (2)

Why We Broke Up Essay
Why We Broke Up is not your classical romance novel, it is quite the opposite. Why We Broke
Up, a contemporary romance novel written by Daniel Handler takes a completely unique
approach to a romance story, deprived of all the cliches of classical young adult romance
literature. The book illustrated by Maira Kalman and was published in 2011 by the Hachette
Book Group. Handler s novel is an accurate representation of a real life relationship. The novel is
narrated by Min, who tells the story of and contemplates her previous relationship through a
collection of prosaic objects. The novel s title Why We Broke Up is self explanatory. Why We
Broke Up talks about relationships, and along with relationships, heartbreak. The story is told as a

The book is unique Because it is in a letter form, from Min s perspective. If the novel would have
been from Ed s perspective the story would have been completely different. It would have been the
classic love story where the popular guy starts dating the girl that is outstanding and is nothing
compared to the girls he has ever been with, the girl would have gotten to see and discover the
real him that noone has yet seen, then he would face an obstacle in his life, everything would go
downhill just like any other classic love story that we are used to reading. The writing style is very
interesting because the chapters were very descriptive especially with the help of visuals. Although
some chapters felt like they were being rushed, it wasn t a big issue since all the other chapters were
astonishing. Since the romance novel is describing items in a breakup box, the illustrator Maira
Kalman paintings are used as a portion of enhancement that made the items worth sparing. Anyone
who has experienced heartbreak would find Min s arguments relatable. One of the many reasons
why I enjoyed this book is because many readers can relate to Min s situation. Throughout the novel
we find out that Min and Ed are from different social groups, and because they are so young readers
like myself can relate and understand their problems. The audience can usually find themselves in
situations
Lifes Greatest Lesson Essay
Life s Greatest Lesson
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. As Henry Adams stated, and
is the summary of the impervious bond between the characters Mitch and Morrie, in Tuesdays with
Morrie. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) often referred to as Lou Gehrig s disease is a form of
motor neuron diseases. It is a rare disorder in which the nerves that control muscular activity
degenerate within the brain and spinal cord. What results is weakness and wasting away of the
muscles. The cause is unknown. About one to two cases of ALS are diagnosed annually per
100,000 people in the US. (Lou) Sufferers will notice weakness in the hands and arms accompanied

Morrie Schwartz was a man of great wisdom who loved and enjoyed to see and experience the
simplicity of life, something beyond life s most challenging and unanswered mysteries. It is from
Morrie that we learn that life is most happily experienced when enjoyed and fulfilled to its highest
ability. Morrie touched the lives of many, and he will always be remembered for his sincerity and his
compassion for life and for love. The lessons Morrie loved to teach were of his own experience with
life.
In his lessons, Morrie advises Mitch to reject the popular culture in favor of creating his own. The
individualistic culture Morrie encourages Mitch to create for him is a culture founded on love,
acceptance, and human goodness, a culture that upholds a set of ethical values unlike the mores that
popular culture endorses. Popular culture, Morrie says, is founded on greed, selfishness, and
superficiality, which he urges Mitch to overcome. Morrie also stresses that he and Mitch must accept
death and aging, as both are inevitable.
A symbol that represents Morrie s life throughout the book is the pink hibiscus plant. As Morrie s
body deteriorates, so does the condition of the hibiscus plant. The plant s pink petals wither and
fall as Morrie grows increasingly dependent on his aides and on oxygen. As his death approached, so
does the death of the plant. It is used as a metaphor for Morrie
The Book Of Revelations Is Divided Into These Sections
The Book of Revelations is divided into these sections:
I.Prologue (1:1 3)
II.Letters to the Churches of Asia (1:4 3:22)
III.God and the Lamb in Heaven (4:1 5:14)
IV.The Seven Seals, Trumpets, and Plagues, with Interludes (6:1 16:21)
V.The Punishment of Babylon and the Destruction of Pagan Nations (17:1 20:15)
VI.The New Creation (21:1 22:5)
VII.Epilogue (22:6 21)
(The New American Bible)
The Book of Revelations is the last book of the Bible. It has several extravagant symbolisms,
symbolic language, and literary conventions that account for the apocalyptic literature. To understand
the Book of Revelations adequately, we have to understand the historical background in which it was
written. During the critical time that it was written, Christians were facing ruthless persecution of
the early church by the Roman authorities. The book is an exhortation and admonition to Christians
of the first century to stand firm in the faith and to avoid compromise with paganism, despite the
threat of adversity and martyrdom; they are to await patiently the fulfillment of God s mighty
promises. (The New American Bible) The book creates a message of hope for God s people and it
remains valid and meaningful for Christians of all ages. Revelation affirms Christianity s original
hope for an immediate transformation of the world and assures the faithful that God s prearranged
plan, including the destruction of evil and the advent of Christ s universal reign, is soon to be
accomplished.
O Ahu Tree Snails
O ahu Tree Snails are also known as Achatinella mustelina is a genus from the family
Achatinellidae (Kay Hadfield, 1972, p. 320). They are approximately found only within a range
of the Waianae mountains in Oahu. There are many physical attributes of O ahu tree snails that
make this a valuable species in Hawaiian culture and heritage. For example, O ahu tree snails are
approximately ¾ inches in length. Because they originate from the islands of O ahu, these snails
live in humid or dry to wet environments and they also come in a variety of flamboyant colors,
unique shapes, and different patterns. More and more O ahu Tree Snails have disappeared in the
last decades. This has become a problem for the ecosystem and the other species native... Show more

All of these factors can lead these snails into extinction faster. Because they have low reproductive
rates, they are more vulnerable towards predators. Also, the fact that these snails are extremely small
at the time of birth, the time that it takes for them to be reproductively mature takes extensive
nourishment and care using the resources of Hawaii s atmosphere as a result of their delayed
growth. Moreover, because Achatinella mustelina have a low fertility rate, the population is
already decreasing to begin with, so they are not able to reproduce within a certain amount of
time to create a significant population of O ahu tree snails. In addition to the low maturity rate,
habitat destruction kills the snails source of food such as plants and other viable food sources, as a
result this lowers their growth rate. However, reallocating the snails from densely populated areas
to less densely populated environments will allow for less competition and an increased population
(Kobayashi Hadfield, 1996, pg. 352). This solution can ensure that there is an even dispersal of
species in order to decrease the extinction
Essay on Death Penalty
Death Penalty Herrera vs Collins
The Supreme Court addressed the constitutionality of executing someone who claimed actual
innocence in Herrera v. Collins (506 U.S. 390 (1993)). Although the Court left open the possibility
that the Constitution bars the execution of someone who conclusively demonstrates that he or she is
actually innocent, the Court noted that such cases would be very rare. The Court held that, in the
absence of other constitutional violations, new evidence of innocence is no reason for federal courts
to order a new trial. The Court also held that an innocent inmate could seek to prevent his execution
through the clemency process, which, historically, has been the fail safe in our justice system.

Since 1994, support for the death penalty has again declined. Today, 66% of Americans support the
death penalty in theory. However, public support for the death penalty drops to around 50 % when
voters are offered the alternative of life without parole. (See also, DPIC s report, Sentencing for Life:
American s Embrace Alternatives to the Death Penatly)
Religion
In the 1970s, the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), representing more then 10 million
conservative Christians and 47 denominations, and the Moral Majority, were among the Christian
groups supporting the death penalty. NAE s successor, the Christian Coalition, also supports the
death penalty. Today, Fundamentalist and Pentecostal churches as well as the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter day Saints (Mormons) support the death penalty, typically on biblical grounds, specifically
citing the Old Testament. (Bedau, 1997).
Although traditionally also a supporter of capital punishment, the Roman Catholic Church now
oppose the death penalty. In addition, most Protestant denominations, including Baptists,
Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, and the United Church of Christ, oppose the
death penalty. During the 1960s, religious activists worked to abolish the death penalty, and continue
to do so today.
In recent years, and in the wake of a recent appeal by Pope John Paul II to end the death
Bullying in the Workplace
Introduction Bullying in the workplace has always been an issue that has not been given much
importance. It is indeed a problem that should be addressed by the concerned personnel because
it can result in many health and safety issues, especially when nurses are bullied at their
workplace. From the beginning of times, people who are deployed at a senior post to tend to
look down upon the students or new people who have just started work. Nursing is also one of the
professions in which the fresh graduates or students are bullied to the extent that they feel that they
would not be able to face their seniors. They start developing inferiority complex and are unable to
perform their job well. When they are taunted by their seniors and preceptors about their lack of
knowledge and experience, their confidence is shattered. This implies that when they are handling a
case, they are not confident if they are doing the right thing or not. In this tussle, they sometimes do
not even perform the task they were really good at and put the health and safety of the patient at
stake. Many incidents of this sort have taken place in the past and take place every single day and it
is an example of just a single profession in which bullying is quite extensive and subtle at the same
time. Therefore, the administration of the hospitals, and other workplaces for that matter, should
make sure that the trainees are not targeted by their seniors just because they have less experience
than them. The
