PREFACE
"Change is the only constant," and in today's world, AI offers exciting career paths in areas such as software
development, data analysis, cybersecurity, and network administration. Early exposure is key for igniting interest
and fostering future innovation. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) acknowledges the need
to prepare students for a competitive world by integrating "Skill Development" courses into the education system.
This strategic move, supported by the Department of Skill Development, CBSE, aims to equip students with
practical skills for both employment and higher studies.
Aligned with CBSE's Artificial Intelligence syllabus (Subject code 843), this book is divided into two parts. Part
A covers Employability Skills, and Part B focuses on Subject-Specific Skills related to Artificial Intelligence.
Salient Features:
1. Concepts are presented in simple language for easy understanding.
2. Interactive activities, quizzes, and projects engage students and reinforce AI concepts.
3. Visuals enhance comprehension, creating an engaging learning experience.
4. Encourages critical thinking and responsible technology use.
5. Strictly follows syllabus and guidelines from the Department of Skill Education CBSE.
Structure of the Book:
1. Learning Outcomes: Clearly states what students will learn.
2. Introduction: Provides an overview of the unit's topic.
3. Session Breakdown: Splits the unit into sessions for easier learning. Self-Assessments are also included
according to sessions.
4. Knowledge facts: Shares interesting facts about the topic.
5. Questions Zone: In this section, various types of questions are given like, MCQ, Fill in the blanks,
True False, Match the following, Very Short Answer type Questions, Assertion Reasoning
based, Case/Source based Questions, Short and Long Answer type Questions, included with
answers.
6. Check Your Progress: Tests knowledge with different question types for practice.
7. Lab Activities: Lab activities also included with each unit which is the most important part of the book.
Best wishes to students reading this book. May you derive the utmost benefit from its contents.
