THREAT TO GLOBAL CRICKET GOVERNANCE?
The Board of Controlcontrol for Cricketcricket in India (BCCI) and
the International Cricket Councilcricket council(ICC) are both different governing bodies in cricket, but they serve different purposes and operate at different levels. The basic difference between them is that BCCI was formed in 1928 , headquartered in Mumbai and governs cricket in India whereas ICC was established in 1909 , headquartered in Dubai, UAE and governs world cricket . The question arises here that Is BCCI’s BCCI’S influence a boon that enhances cricket’s global reach , or a threat to the sport’s fair governance ?
Everything heard about the Indian Cricket Council is made up to such an
extend extent by different parts of it , making it more powerful! If we talk about the Eeconomic dDominance , Tthe Board of Controlcontrol for Cricketcricket board globally and hence it influences ICC significantly. This dominance is mainly due to the fanbase and a huge number of people having an interest in cricket and also the commercial success of the IPL and hence it impacts revenue distribution. Every coin has two faces hence the cricket clubs have their positive as well as negative sidesides. BCCI’S INFLUENCE – A BOON? Talking about the financial growth and commercialization , BCCI’s BCCI’S financial strength has led to an increase in sponsorship and media deals which further benefits ICC and board members. It also offers global players financial stability and exposure. About development – India’s Cricket economy flourishes like a well-grown well grown farm. Infrastructure development has also improved , which is setting a height for other nations. Increased global reach- India’s massive fan base has expanded global reach. It is also boosting interest in the sports worldwide.
THEN HOW IS IT A THREAT TO GLOBAL CRICKET GOVERNANCE ?

BCCI’S , limiting their financial and competitive opportunities . ⮚ Revenue distribution remains unequal.
