English Holiday Home work-Class XI

Dear Students
Enjoy your Vacations but “All play & no work will make Jack a DULL BOY”. So while you are enjoying
the company of your dear cousins and friends , find time to do these projects which will be evaluated as
per the rubrics and will be a part of internal assessment. Some of these topics may be the part of your
English Month(July2025) Class wise and House wise activities.

1. Prepare a project on ANY ONE topic of your choice. (Mandatory for Students with R.No 1-10 )

The project must include an Article/ write up in about 800-1000 words with illustrations/ pictorial /
graphic presentation. Some topics have been listed below to facilitate your choice.

a. Natural Disasters

b. Old Age Homes are the last resort for the elderly.

c. Failures are the stepping stones to success.

d. Teenagers today and social networking sites.

e. Gadgets that rule the teenagers world.

2. Make a vocabulary notebook adding five new words every day along with their meanings and by
making sentences with the same. If possible add pictures to the description/ meaning. (Mandatory for
students with R.No.11-20 )

3.Form a questionnaire to conduct a survey interviewing at least 20 students of your school, covering
ANY ONE of the given topics. (Mandatory for students with R.No.21-33 )

a. Why do I like/ dislike being in a day boarding school?

b. Working women make better mothers.

Prepare and submit a final report of the survey carried out by you.

SUBMISSION OF THE PROJECTS: 2ND WEEK OF JULY 2025

RUBRICS FOR EVALUATION:

SUBMISSION ON TIME—3 MARKS


ORIGINALITY--- 3 MARKS
PRESENTATION---4 MARKS
