CAMP PURPOSE AND GUIDE

A Camp is a place where we come into God's presence in prayer and meditation with the ultimate aim
of reviving our spiritual lives. Camping is a time of waiting on the Lord for guidance and blessings,
knowing God's will in one's life and ministry. It is a time to settle long-standing spiritual and physical
problems, which we had not been able to address because of our busy schedules. Camping is also a time to
build and feed our inner man with the Word of God through Bible Studies, Expositions, and Seminars etc.

Therefore, let us make the most of every opportunity in this Camp preserving and nurturing through prayer the
grace and blessing of God upon us. Let us endeavour to keep the spirit of prayer and the solemnity of the Lord's
presence throughout and after this Camp.

IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE ABOVE EXPECTATIONS, YOU WOULD DO WELL WITH THE GUIDE HEREUNDER

1. Please get to the Registrars as soon as you arrive, to secure accommodation and conference materials as this
will help check intruders.
2. Endeavour to be present, punctual in every programme and strictly observe the camp programmes. Sleeping
in the halls or walking about while the programme is on is not allowed. Every participant must be in a Bible
class during each study.
3. Comport yourself as an indigene of a mini Christian community without attracting the 'rod'of Camp Police.
4. Audible playing of music, praying aloud during siesta or discussion after light out is not allowed in the hostel.
5. Do not urinate or defecate any how around the premises. Mothers must pay special attention to their children
in this regard. No bathing of children in front of the hostels. Waste papers/other unwanted materials must be
put in the waste bins provided. We must all help to keep the camp premises clean at all times.
6. Car owners should park their vehicles at the spaces provided by the Security Ofcers.
7. Patronize only accredited food vendors; every vendor shall be subject to the regulations of the Scripture
Union (Nigeria).
8. Each activity of this retreat has been allotted time on the timetable. Please attend to each one at the right
time.
9. All messages are on tape, book for copies from the Registrar's Desk.
10. Should you need any information or enquiries you may contact the Camp Commandant, other camp ofcers
and the Area Committee members.
11. New mattresses should not be used on the bare oor in any part of the camp.
12. Keep your electronic devices safe and use only authorized charging points.
