wnrereas' information has been received frorn credible
sources that violent demonstrations are likely to
lake piace resuxting in iarge scale disturbance of the public
tranquillity and breach of the peace in the area
mentioned tn the scheduie beloiry of the NJF FS, under
the siliguri Folice cornmissionerate.
And
whereas' I' commissioner of Police, Siliguri being the Executive
Magistrate for the Metropolitan area of
Siliguri' have been specialtry empowered by the state
Government vide Notification No. 1548-p.s. cell/HR/o13p-
42/2a14 dtd 16/08/2024 of senior Deputy secretary
to the Govt. of west Bengar.

And
whereas' in my opinion, there is stlfficient ground for proceeding
under the said section for irnmediate
of public tranquillitv and breach of peace within
rhe area-in-question or the siiiguri

Now therefore' in exercise of the power conf-erred
by sub-section [1J[3] of sec. 163 of tsharatiya
Nagarik suraksha sanhita, 2023 x, c. sudhakar,
lPS, Comrnissioner of police, siliguri Folice
and Executive Magistrate ior the Metropolitan commissionerate
area of Siliguri, do hereby prohibit for the period
w'e'f Zz"d fune 2025 to 2Oth August 2025 until 60 (sixty) days
further order, any assembiy of 05 or more
procession or the carrying of any lathi or [five] person in
other dangerous weapons or the doing of any
cause disturbances to the public tranquiliity act which is likely to
