About the Programme As the world advances into the twenty - first century, managers face the challenge of increasing competition due to the globalisation of business and economy. Salient changes witnessed are the deregulation and liberalisation of economies, changing industry structures, mergers, acquisitions & alliance formations to sustain growth, privatisation, technological advances, changes in the consumer preferences and life-style, and emergence of new forms of organisation & management practices. Not only business organisations, but the managers themselves need to equip themselves with new skills and resources needed to manage such enterprises. These skills are needed for the managers to assume greater responsibilities through career advancement based on knowledge, skills and competence. The Executive Programme in Business Management (for International Students) is designed to provide managers and professionals with a broad overview of the key concepts, tools and techniques needed to successfully meet the challenges of todays global business environment. Individual courses will give participants the knowledge needed to work cross-functionally within the organization and become more skilled in the basics of business management. Schedule & Duration Duration: 1 year Schedule: Twice a week, Friday & Saturday 2 pm to 5 pm (UAE time). Who Should Attend Middle Managers with 5 - 15 years of experience from International Locations aspiring for better career in Management Eligibility: Applicants should be working professionals/self-employed Graduates (10+2+3) in any discipline with min. 50% marks [aggregate- considering results of all years (e.g. 3 or 4 together)] recognized by UGC/AICTE. Minimum 5 - 15 years of work experience (full-time paid employment) post completion of graduation as on Application Closure Date

Course Content Microeconomics Macroeconomics Financial Reporting and Analysis Behavioural Sciences Human Resource Management Strategic Analysis Strategy Execution Marketing Management Statistics for Managers Managerial Accounting Corporate Finance International Marketing Operations Management Managing Information Technology Course Structure: Classroom Component: This component forms the core of EPBM. Spread over 1 year it consists of 14 modules. Faculty from IIMC will take these modules. Faculty Contact Component: This component is held twice during the 1-year program. This is a crucial component covering 3 days (18 hrs) each visit, which provides the participants among other tools, an orientation towards case based learning. It is compulsory for all participants. It would be held once at Dubai & once at Kolkata. Pedagogy: The pedagogy will be highly interactive. It will leverage use of technology. It will consist of a judicious blend of lectures, real life case studies, quizzes and assignments. Objectives The programme aims to impart quality education to middle level managers by equipping them with various management concepts and tools to cope with the challenges they face in their respective industries. Certification IIM Calcutta will directly award the certificate of Executive Programme in Business Management to participants who complete the programme successfully. IIMC will also offer Alumni status to its successful participants.
